This is something that some theists and atheists need to understand, there is no proof of a deity.
You literally have to have faith to believe. Faith can be achieved through 3 paths. Evidence, testimony or reason. If all 3 are satisfied it is defined as a truth.
All religions have only satisfied one path, testimony.
To believe in a god or goddess or their plurality is solely reliant on the testimony of others. To take that as fact is to have faith. Those who require more will never be convinced without at least one of the other two requirements of truth. I do not understand why some attempt to blur those simple things to get to some gotcha moment. There is no winning this argument.
