Character assault is the lowest form of debate.
In a world not run by the far right, I would agree that it is the lowest form of debate. In the mind of republicans and the far right, they are the only ones allowed to character assault; everyone else is just “fake news.” While alt right conservative republicans are in power, there is no hope for debate.
