The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)

So it has a good story line. It does follow ANIME type of rules in the story telling. VERY drawn out. Lots of scenes repeated with little bits added on here and there. It takes 9 episodes (over 9 hours) just to get to the good guy actually seeing and interacting with the bad guy. AND I have to mention. SO MANY TIMES they could just shoot/kill the bad guy as he walks away “SLOWLY”. DONE. But hey. It’s a story.

Now the good parts. I love the two parallel worlds. Korea and Corea. One run by a Royal King/Priminister the other Modern day South Korea. Around episode 9+10+11+ the story starts to get interesting. FINALLY you start seeing action being played out. Rules being laided out on time freezing and how the main characters are actually running out of time between time stopping. Begs the question. How would you know if time just stopped? For all we know we could be millions of years old and not even know on a given timeline being stopped over and over again. This show also has a very good love story built in. The handsome prince (in this case a king) on a white horse kinda thing.

Hope this helps. I think it’s worth a watch if you have time. A lot of time. LOL
