Definitely worth a watch. Before going into this documentary I heard a lot of people complained because Oliver Stone was ‘’Too nice’’. Which I don’t get. He seems to be polite enough to wanting to have a dialogue with President Putin. And he seems to have a great way of asking his questions. Even though the answers are yeah, expected. But then again I think it is really something that we haven’t seen before even though these interviews are what to expect from a politician. Nevertheless very interesting and exciting for anyone who is a fan of politics, history and other cultures.
I live in Russia and Putin regularly answers questions in an open public forum. He will sometimes stand for hours responding to the questions of regular citizens with no limit on subject. What is profound in this is he answers without canned responses and is a master of facts and statistics. It’s quite refreshing to watch after spending a lifetime watching western pols answer questions with non answers while grabbing for sound bytes.
