SPOILER! I’m not overly happy with the way Dean went out, a vampire nest after all the things they’ve faced. However, everything that followed was beautiful. So as far as endings go, I think they did a great job. As Chuck once said, “Endings are never easy.” That is extra true with a show that has been on for 15 years. Goodbye J2M, Bobby, John, Mary, Jack and everyone who made this show as amazing as it was. You may be gone (For now), but the SPN family live on.
I think it was poetic that he died in a routine hunt. After 15 years of dodging death and surviving routine encounters like vamp nests its fitting that his luck finally runs out once his mission is completed. It led to them being able to have a conversation.
