I do like this series - the world weary older male cop and the younger female cop learning the often not quite by the regulation manual methods from him. The characters are reasonably believable - Niemans; the older guy, has the megnificent traditional Gallic indifference and cynicism about him. He’s past his best physically, so the foot chases after younger men are a bit beyond credence. However, the damn-your-eyes attitude to miscreants tells you that he is still capableof beating a confession out of someone.
The female - Delaunay - is a bit less credible. She looks like a good gust of wind would blow here away. She stands toe-to-toe with the bad guys and takes a regular beating that would probably kill her in real life. Still, it is better than the arrogant, entitled Mary Sue characters we are currently being force-fed by Hollywood these days.
It’s a good bit of entertainment.
