The Time Travelers (1964)

This little gem is from the days when sci-fi warned us against continuing all that dangerous atom-splitting stuff we were so good at. Things never go well for you when you mess with Mother Nature, and this movie blends in humor to make a lot of points. Though dated in costumes, effects, and the like, this is a fun, imaginative film that holds your interest, even if a few subplots don’t seem to go anywhere at all (the most glaring of these being a character who is introduced in a long, meaningful scene—-then never appears again.)
My brother and I used to watch this and other sci-fi movies and shows, and Time Travelers is still a fave, like The Day the Earth Stood Still and First Men in the Moon.
