I’m a practicing Christian, an American living in Saudi Arabia, and I’m out about my faith here. I can’t stand that Christianity is always under attack, and I can say that if Islaam fell under attack, there would be blood in the streets here, but I also want to add one thing, have you considered atheism and all of the repercussions for that? If none of the Christian or Muslim (or any major religious laws) have no backing, then rampant murder is allowed, rampant rape is allowed, and societies are destroyed bc like it or not, societal laws are based on religious precepts. This isn’t just in America, this is every, single stable government for the last 4,000 years. Religions, when done correctly, hold people together and lift people up and fight against the anarchy that is atheism. Who’s life isn’t improved by being honest? Giving to the poor? Not killing people? Not envying others’ possessions? Not stealing? These are all religious concepts from Christianity and Islaam. Atheists’ lives are improved by them, and there would be no different if there were no diety or dieties.
Yes, Mohammed was an abysmal hypocrite. As for his child bride, she was nine, and he didn’t sleep with her until she was 15- middle aged for that time. If you want to discuss his hypocrisy, please don’t mention his child bride and mention that he told everyone to only have at most four wives and he had nine all at the same time! I can tell you hundreds of ways in which he was an absolute hypocrite. Don’t pick one of the few areas where he wasn’t.
