@tardisrider I would even put Kiss in that category. Though I did like Kiss and it was the first band I ever saw live at the San Francisco cow palace during the filming of Kiss Alive 2. However other then kiss I was firmly in the AC/DC, Slayer, Megadeath, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Metallica, Iron Maiden camp.
who back then wasn’t?, but i wouldn’t put any of those even kiss in the glam category. i always felt kiss took a page from alice cooper, showmanship wise. kiss was a little too ‘kiddie’ for me i was more into deep purple, scorpions.
