You might think that as a Star Wars fan & one that never heared of this “special” that you should definitely watch it. You would be wrong. Maybe wait until the holidays? No.
This will ruin Star Wars & X-mas for you. This was buried in a galaxy far away & for the longest time only available on bootlegs & now its here. Highlight are rare & that’s probably why Carrie Fisher appears drunk the entire time. The absolute highlight is Jefferson Starship giving a one-take performance with glowing Dildo mics (yes, that happened)

This really isn’t all that surprising to be honest as alot of American remakes of British sitcoms are usually bad and while there are a few exceptions to this rule they are very few and very far between.

English panel shows are one of my guilty pleasures. All the usual reprobates are in attendance.

Not much to do with the quest but for a filler episode it was ok. The “bug” is a stupid plot device on the same magical level as the “spore drive”. Lazy writing but executed well.

oh, but 3/4 of the US population are already robotzombiesheeple as it is. THis is just more desensitization so nobody realizes what the ACTUAL war on the people is. ;)

Ha! Thought the exact same thing, what with all the recent titles like “The Baker”, “The Painter”, “The Beekeeper” etc, etc. and then I saw the cast lineup of Weaver and Edgerton.

7 episodes of season 3 completed, 3 to go. While there is, obviously, no word yet on an exact date in 2025 we will get season 3, it’s been announced that a season 4 will be happening.

After watching the first episode, I can definitively say this remake is absolutely horrible!

Why remake Friday Night Dinner just watch the original as it’ll be so much better then this version of the show will ever and can ever be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

I have seen an advance screening..and let’s just say this, if you’ve never seen the 90ies era original version (with Brandon Lee and a MOST excellent Soundtrack)? Meh, maybe you will be entertained and think it’s “Original”. If you are a fan of the original? Well, this one belongs in the (Garbage) Dumpster Bin with the other remade Classics (Roadhouse, Pointe Break, Red Dawn, Poltergeist, The Longest Yard, The Fog etc, etc..)

yes, I’m finding this with the series Ghosts. The UK version was great, I’m a few episodes into the US version and blegh!

Did anyone else notice there were no pictures of their oldest son John on the mantle? Ever since he left I don’t remember them mentioning him at all. He was cleared of a murder charge a few seasons ago and said he was going to be a stage actor, then poof!

I’m almost with you on this, it has become very predictable and so has all 3 FBI series, I didn’t finish one of them and didn’t bother to watch the 3rd one. I gave up on the Equalizer too, it has become predictable. At least the Brits have some good crime dramas and Blue Lights 2nd season started Monday.

I was a huge fan of the original The Office UK - and resisted watching the US version for a long time. Until my daughter kept nagging me. Then during Covid, I watch the whole US The Office and I loved it so much that I miss it today…. so maybe this will work? The UK version was pretty great. And Shameless US was ultimately better than the UK version.. (in my opinion)… let’s see.

I love Conan, been watching him sense The late show in 93 as a child. He really should of took over the tonight show though, I Really enjoyed these type of segments in his Turner years. This is just as good, glad its finally here.
