Stop all the whining and crying and just appreciate the fact that the Star Trek franchise is alive and going strong. Imagine no more Star Trekđ±đšđ€Ż Ya bunch of babies!

I think they did that on purpose. It was about keeping a language from dying and creating a new life.
I did notice that the name was Sweet Homestead Alabama! I hope it was a mistake and the wrong episode was uploaded?
I guess my reason for disappointment was that I thought the show was going to start to go the Alaska The Last Frontier route and make tons of specials and episodes recycling old material.
A pleasant surprise. The lead wasnât too over the top for the pilot. Most buddy crime shows like this where one is not a cop and they are opposite genders- tends to over do it in the pilot. I laughed out loud at one point because I was thinking the banter reminded me of Private Eyes and then Jason Priestly jumps on screen. They even reference Castle, so they know their audience.
This show might not be for a lot of people. But I love the family friendly buddy crime shows that Canada is great at doing.
I enjoyed it but found the three big reveals in the final episode to be very predictable from the moment they were both introduced. I am disappointed that the main premise of the show was not solved and dangled out there for another season that may or may not happen.
Never heard of this one before. Sure am glad I stumbled upon this gem. Great film, and a tear jerker. Just a lovely film, you are sure to enjoy.
The rating has gone up over time. If I am not mistaken it did not get great numbers n the box office but was great with viewers
I apologize, I thought the last sentence made clear I was being sarcastic. I tune in to Star Trek to see how a utopian, post-racial, post-capitalism society deals with issues that challenge their morals on whatever the current progressive popular ideas are. If Star Trek wasnât âprogressive or wokeâ it wouldnât be Star Trek.
no worries if it were under the original post i would have read it as sarcasm. It was under mine and I thought it was willful ignorance. no need to apologize.
First 2 min feels so weird after literally watching Greyâs. The whole monologue and Winehouse vibe threw me and I thought I loaded the wrong show.
Brilliant, but off center the main male lead always manages a solution to a large problem only to dive right into a bigger one.
I donât think anyone would stay with him that long. Heâs not likable in anyway. I found myself on Chuyâs side
The Fear of the Walking Dead is a failure show post Nick and Alicia. If anyone is thinking about binge watching this show, I suggest you not waste your time.
I think it excelled once Nick was gone. Personally hated that character and agree with Daniel that everything Madison and Alicia touches turns to crap (not that heâs ever been stable enough to make a sound position) . This forced conclusion to the show is awful. Too much going on in the last two episodes. Seriously how many times will Madison almost die?
Whatâs up with butterflies? Creeped me out, but Iâm curious
i think it was supposed to be surreal. Like beautiful but ugly.
disappointing. This is just a special/recap of past seasons
You might think that as a Star Wars fan & one that never heared of this âspecialâ that you should definitely watch it. You would be wrong. Maybe wait until the holidays? No.
This will ruin Star Wars & X-mas for you. This was buried in a galaxy far away & for the longest time only available on bootlegs & now its here. Highlight are rare & thatâs probably why Carrie Fisher appears drunk the entire time. The absolute highlight is Jefferson Starship giving a one-take performance with glowing Dildo mics (yes, that happened)
Wow I wish I had read this review. I thought it would be funny hahah â no, this is tragic bad. No this was awful. There must have been great drugs in giant bowls all around the writerâs room. No, scratch that. From start to finish every one from writers to actors were stoned out of their minds. I donât know how this made it to screen. Itâs always been joked about and I finally sat down to watch all of star wars in chronological order and this came up. Long scenes of creepy looking Vidal Sassoon Wookieâs screaming.
I made it maybe 6 min before I started fast forwarding through it
I like that the show isnât bloated with filler like most are now. Each episode is so rich with detail that I rewatch the previous season before a new one drops and the story is just as delightful as the 1st time.
Most UK shows are. I could talk for hours about why but thatâs another day. I would like one more episode that wraps up the mayhem. There was so much in the preview for next season, it seems like they filmed one 12 episode season and split it into two 6episode ones instead.
lol i wasnât trying to start a debate, just pointing out it wasnât a completely altruistic stance.
I got dialogue, but there is a narrator describing it like itâs a radio show. Does the narration continue in each episode? If so, it would drive me crazy.
A lot of people complain about it but I like it after giving it a try. Iâm often watching while wearing my head phones and working around my place. I donât have to keep my eyes glued to the TV. I can turn my back and start the laundry.
if the comment doesnt suite the person editing, its gone faster than the wind here arroundâŠ
so,once again, why can they drive arround in cars, when in season 7 all gasoline turned bad and they were forced to haul out of museums old horse carts?
does it makes sense to you?
hope, this whitewashed NEGAN character gets his balls back and dumps this ever-hating woman
You forget they started manufacturing gasoline years ago. They also make alcohol, bullets etc. They (people from villages of Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom & Oceanside) went and got horse and buggies (plus seeds and other agriculture tools) because they as a colony were desperate. But outside of that colony (and in spin-offs) people have varying degrees of re-establishing manufacturing on a micro level. There are colonies out there with electricity so they can weld and produce more.
I loved it but word of warning for those who do not spek or understand french. the translation subtitles are kind of wonky and besides the track a few times. Aside from that one of the most on point cinematical interpretations of the source material
How would you compare this to the TV series from a few years ago? I enjoyed that. Does this bring anything new to the table? I am an American English speaker so Iâm not even used to hearing French around me since Iâm not in the deep south or New England area where people speak French or Creole.
I had been considering this, but you make a very strong argument against it, thank you!
They are based on books Iâve never read. Itâs nothing like Mists of Avalon, or other Excaliber mystical storylines.
That being said the last 3 episodes have been focused on Arthur declaring his word as his bond, loyalty & honor are the true reason to stand with him, then immediately goes against his word through acts of disloyalty or dishonorable decisions. I think people are not ready for an Arthur that isnât altruistic. If you want to check that out itâs an interesting watch. At the end of the day this is probably how people behaved back then â history is written by the victor with rose colored glasses. Not that this is real history but you know.
Great capper to a fantastic series. A more positive/accomplished ending than last season. Very Very disappointed that I donât have more to watch!
Itâs now slated to be a movie instead of a series and given that filming hasnât even started yet Iâd say that 2024 is overly optimistic. sorry
well thanks for the update. I appreciate more people updating and reviewing shows lately!
In the preamble, they donât mention the Roman exodus from Britain, circa: 430AD which is strange considering they are setting it in the 5th century. It sort of plops us into the era without explanation. I wonder if the books are like that?
Maybe they donât want to commit to specific dates so they can fudge around with history
7 years and I can still count on SWAT to deliver the best intro music in the game. No one beats SWATS hype music.
Just starting it. I saw where it was compared to âBraindeadâ (great show!). What do you think?
The Swiss never chose neutrality. They chose/choose green. Their decisions are all centered on their economics - banks and information (secrets) . They made a decision to choose themselves. Thereâs never a real moral âwe are choosing neither sideâ.
I assume it is a nod to Nog from DS9. After all, he was the first SFC from his species. I can only assume he made a grand impact on his generations Star Trek Adventures. Would have been great if a spin off from DS9 centered around Nog and his progression within the Star Fleet Academy and beyond.
I have watched the âstar trek fanflixâ and enjoyed them as well. It does show promise within the Trekverse that Roddenberry is still influencing future directors, producers, video creators, actors, and, Trekkies. Though, I did have a few moments of âWTHâ because of the content and plot process lacking continuity of itâs own progression. But, thatâs how strong popular directors and producers of movies begin. By learning how to adjust things where they were so misguided in the first place. Kudoâs to the fanflick creators and future hollywood notables.
In my humble opinion, if a person has to be negative towards a specific program, without acknowledging the heartfelt opinions of others who enjoy such programming(âŠespecially on the chat boards), they are not true Trekkies. Nor they do not comprehend the idea of creative adaptations from the original content presented decades before it. Those commenting with negative opinion but include acceptance towards those of us posting our enjoyment of the programs show more respect to the whole of entire Hollywood productions from their humble beginnings. Donât forget, BEN HUR was created a dozen times and itâs humble root was a 10-15 minute silent skit.
There is no law that states all adaptations MUST adhere to the exact way the original production (Star Trek 1960s) were presented. If that were the case then all theater/stage plays, movies, and musicals would still be presented with MEN ONLYâŠand ONLY MEN. Remember Shakespeare? All his Folios during his lifetime were staged in all entertainment venues with Adult men as the male and female and child characters. Imagine todayâs society not allowing women to be actresses, producers, directors, theater administration representatives.
If some of you think we true Trekkies are being âsarasticââŠWe Are Not. All our opinions come from a true Trekkie heart and from a place we can respect and accept creative adaptations for their gallant attempts at entertaining.
If some of you think a program is mawkish drivel or filled with politi-woke stuffâŠperhaps it is time you stop watching it after 4 seasons, heck, even 1 season, since it bothers your political opinions that much. Also, go back and rewatch TNG, DS9, STV from the 1990s-2000s. Pull up a history book of events and issues from the 1980s and 1990s and watch and read at same time. I guarantee you that those programs also had parallel dialog, and, plot sequences/Story Arcâs, within it that reflected the political problems of that 1990s time period, too. Maybe you were probably too young to realize/notice, or, not born yet.
If you canât take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Stop trolling, bullying, being negative, and, criticizing us who are devout Trekkies. Respect everyoneâs opinion. I do my best to respect the opinions of those who donât enjoy programs. Itâs not for them. But they could be kinder in their comments towards others instead of being katty and troublemaking, towards them about the fact they were emotionally affected in a good, or, sad, or happy, or bad, way with a specific episode. Seems that the art of productive Pro/Con Debate Class education has all been forgotten.
Live Long and Prosper.
By the way, a bit of Star Trek Trivia. Leonard Nemoyâs Jewish Roots inspired the Vulcan Salute. Shalom/Peace.

The comments were still on my mind as well. I was thinking about it and signed in to say something and look what you did! I could not have said it better (or as diplomatically).
I would like to add that Iâm really tired of people saying the show is nt Star Trek because itâs overly emotional and has an agenda that TOS or DS9 eras didnât have. Are we talking about the same TOS that broke color and gender barriers with a Black woman on the bridge? The same show that had Dresses as BTUs for both genders? The same shows that has introduced every form of government we have on Earth for people to get a better understanding - in the form of alien species? Since TOS weâve had transgender, non-binary, intersexed, two-spirit, pansexual and poly species. Everything LGBTQ+ but now itâs an agenda? Why arenât people so upset that the last Trill character had a symbiod of another gender? So many things are being repeated episode after episode that have already been done before. If you do not like a story line, ok I can understand. Burnum kinda irks me now too. But please stop saying this isnât Star Trek. Itâs all about the IDIC
Oh I enjoyed this! It reminds me of 19-2 and Rookie Blue mashed together. The slow pace of 19-2 with the younger Rookies learning the ropes.
Thereâs a ship called The Nog. Dare I hope itâs a DS9/Voyager reference? Itâs not like any other ship named after someone in Starr Trek has just a given name right?
To dry and slow for me. Typical with a lot of English programming
They are trying very hard in an hour to scream âThis is Arthur and Merlin and AvalonâŠbut not like any other rendition from before.â Which is funny because it reminds me of The Green Knight and The Mists of Avalon
An episode with some of the elders - itâs a great follow-up to last weekâs Dazed and Confused flashback. Seeing the men folk take this kid under their wing - as family do - while simultaneously showing the men they grew up to be when they started out much wilder than Cheese and his gang.
I think Mindyâs humor in general started of quick, quirky and witty on The Mindy Project. By the last two seasons it was nothing but self deprecating humor that went to far and was just mean. Fat & Fart jokes were pretty much the entire schtick of the last few episodes. That type of humor is just not what people expected of Velma a character Gen X, Y and even some Zs grew up on. The jokes are not witty at all they are base and crass.
Sadly this might be the one show that unites Primewire. Itâs not Woke, itâs not Fascist itâs just trash. No one wants to hear the bad-ass genius Velma whine all day and act like a lovesick lunatic ex-girlfriend.
Watching the trailer and I have to say this is the first DC movie I really wanted to see because it looks more Marvel. By that I mean it isnât on planet Dark Green like most of the other DC movies. They tried to make them look so stylized with filters that I canât SEE half the movies.
Gotta say, though, this past season of Titans was way better than previous ones.
not crazy about the story line. I think maybe a few âmonster of the weekâ episodes would be better but they are used more on shows with a 20+ episode run er season. The build up of a big bad villain across a 8-12 episode season is so much of a gamble and runs the risk of isolating/not living up to the expectation of a good chunk of the audience. I wish there was something in the middle cause this season was EH for me. I didnât like the guy playing Scarecrow at all.
Iâve watched every single episode of NCIS including spin-offs that went nowhere.
Rule 32: Take a deep breath and chill dude.
AM I the only one who didnât realize they are chanting his name and actually singing in the music until the end credits of the last episode? Haha. I totally missed it, but it was so very clear at the end.
I feel like ever since âOnce More With Feelingâ from Buffy, that American shows - Sci-fi and Paranormal- all say âhold my beerâ and take on a musical episode. They all tend to fall flat. And I donât think they fall flat because we are luddites who donât know musical theater. I think the opposite. Our musical theater standards are high and they never contribute to the storyline. They are episodes that for the most part can be skipped and feel like a ratings grab.
By the same token, I feel the same way about animated episodes and I am really proud of the franchise for saying ââweâve already done animated, letâs try a new twistâ with the last episode. Kudos to them for not cramming one down our throats and taking a different approach.
What Iâm noticing is the complete lack of bodacious loquacious articulatinâ in the dialogue, in this spinoff from the original Justified. We tend to think of Boyd Crowder as the grandiloquent one but the quality was so high and consistent: everyone in that show had colorful dialogue (notably Eva). Those scripts were at their best in Justified when Boyd and Raylan were sparring verbally, and Raylan gave as well as he got - but everybody down all tiers of the cast and second and third sub-plots had dialogue that sang. Same group, same show runners: all the witty repartee seems to have been lost in the decade in between. Those kinds of comments in this series are few and far between, and they fall like a thud compared to the previous outing. Raylan still has that fire in the belly (and the eyes) but seemingly no sense of humor, probably sucked out of him by the less-than-2-dimensional daughter.
I agree with the consensus on here - sheâs not an actor - but more importantly, theyâve given her nothing to work with except âsniveling brat.â Iâm convinced by the character and I see why âsniveling bratâ could have been a good choice here, itâs sadly very realistic for a situation like this where one parent phones it in out of guilt. I know several kids that are as screwed up, uncooperative and self-destructive as Willa. But theyâve given her a repetitive 100-word vocabulary of snivel, and her delivery lacks the urgency of really feeling even the most insipid of childish emotions (maybe because, as someone noted, sheâs 20 and not 15, and the dialogue is more suited for a 7 year old). Itâs as if Beavis and Butthead were dredged out of Cartoonville to write lines for a girl they hated from class. Adding to that mismatch, as a character sheâs nowhere near smart enough to be his daughter. Her father is in law enforcement, and she really sees danger nowhere? She doesnât have any of his flip language or sass? Even the most talented actress would have nothing to work with here.
When you give Timothy Olyphant good lines to sling (see Deadwood) he will deliver and then some. I feel sorry for Elmore Leonard (âs estate). Hereâs hoping she actually stays on the plane (PLEASE) and if this has enough legs to carry it to a second season, she is nothing other than a device to deliver occasional offside plot complications from Florida.
Some of the supporting characters are well-drawn, but lots of cartooning here (the Albanian, câmon please) including the main baddie who Iâm sorry is just B-L-A-H.
Thank you for saying it! The entire âIâm just gonna hang out with a strange 40year old man all dayâ thing was crazy. My mother was a probation officer and it was drilled into me âYou donât give out your number or address, someone could be tracking me downâ TO this day their phone number is unlisted and comes up blocked on peopleâs caller ID. âI will never send someone to pick you up or stop by the house without speaking to you first (even before cellphones)â that scene was so weird. My friends, several of whom had parents in law enforcement had it even worse â I had friends who were not allowed to have friends over inside the house unless it was me or other LEO kids because they had guns in their home. So you want me to believe this girl is as dumb as a box of rocks? OK. You want me to believe her fierce Mama Bear wouldnât drill into her that her dadâs job has lethal consequences? BS. I feel like the person who wrote this character not only doesnât have kids but never met one.
They should take the daughter from this show and the daughter from Justified: City Primeval- strand them on an island and see who is still alive a week later. Call it Survival of the annoying-est. This actress has a way of making every single line sound completely irritating. Every time she opens her mouth itâs not the time but she keeps going with high pitched delivery. I donât blame this one on the writers. She reminds me of Mekayla (sp?) on How to Get Away With Murder.
I found the music distractingly out of place in the first half of the episode. Loved the back story and club scenes. The mech scenes were just weird.
That opening scene of consecutive kills was pretty hokey but the show IS getting better. Too bad itâs the final season.
Iâm more than ok with it being the last season. We were promised a spin-off that would connect dots and explain more things. Instead we got a show that just showed us visuals of what the place would LOOK LIKE during this time period for kids who grew up during the last decade. The only real connection you got was from cameos at the end of the last episode. and spray painted signs left over from Fear the walking dead.
They missed a huge opportunity yo make a great show.
I agree with all youâve said. Not the greatest show to begin with, but this episode was just too much to swallow. One of the things I most liked in the premise behind both Scandal and HTGAWM was the idea of a smart, head-screwed-on-straight black professional woman who paid the cost and IS a boss. Iâm black myself; it was gonna be fun to see such a character, I thought. But in each case, the shows hinted and teased (for a few outings, to get you interested) at this satisfying ideal, only to devolve into some nutty parody of a shrew whoâs lost her mind. Olivia beating someone to death with a chair (!); Viola working with teacherâs pets in a murder plot (!); and this woman Gabi who is involved in the worst scenario EVER - her live-in criminal chained in the basement (!!)
I mean, do they ALL have to be touched in the head? Am I asking for too much?
Yeah I think the formula for HtGAWM and Scandal was that these headstrong characters have to have a figurative body in the basement (that always revolves around a fragile white man) to balance out their megalomania. With this one they went and literally put a body in the basement. Come on, I can get down with that but not the shouting outbursts, stalking teens, and violence, on top of it.
Hilarious. Worth the wait. The storyline is slow but worth it.
