“our drooling, potato-brain Caligula”
Ha! Seth nailed it again.:D

Most links fuzzy- poor quality resolution. Clipwatching continues not to load.
One of the most irritating sound trax ever in first half. Unnecessary.
A weak finale storyline. Disappointing.
OMG funniest episode yet…sex, football, edgy, deeper than expected.
I was hohum about this. it proved to be surprisingly, thoughtfully, binge-worthy. Great collection of one-liners that made me laugh out loud.
Description doesn’t always jive with show, like this one, But still an interesting blast from the past. :)
At the very end of the intro credits, when the woman is unwrapping the sandwich and the wrapping clings to the foot of a man in the next frame…
Plastic wrap??? Not sure whose ‘Oops’. Prop master?
Or was that future Claire eating a ‘journeycake’?
She’s wearing both wedding rings.
A bit jarring juxtaposed with the 18th century.
There’s an apparent continuity error at the end, too. See it?
Still, an excellent cliffhanger till next week!
To portray a city so corrupt and rife with sleazy, slimy private citizens who have too much power over it one can only believe that it’s art that imitates life.
Not the other way around. This episode sends so many bad messages.
What a horrible way to cancel a series. I hope the final episode proves me wrong.
My guess…not the end. The reporter will blow the scam wide open.
One look behind the curtain in DC or at your own city council tells you that— from the top down and coast to coast—This is simply a reality sandwich episode.
their reputation doesn’t need changed though. they earned it and deserve it. what needs to change is them shooting everything that moves because some idiot deemed these scared children to have enough judgement to use deadly force. use google and watch some videos for 2 minutes. you will see their reputation is exactly what it needs to be.
In too many instances your words ring true. There are good cops. They’re just much, much harder to find nowadays.
Interesting to note that 15 votes average 3 stars.
Serious effort to down-vote this show. Huh.
Excellent show that portrays the evident shortsightedness and bigoted attitude in America today. I hope it gets renewed! Edie Falco is excellent in the portrayal of this character. Kudos to her for doing it!
I wholeheartedly agree with Cece1954. Edie Falco does a fantastic job; her character is well written and thought out as to how her accomplished position impacts her personal life and how patriarchal politics are such a septic tangle for women.
One wonders what transformation might occur should women become dominant in positions of power in the police force and how that would impact the brutal reputation that unfortunately dogs law enforcement today.
McConnelly writes so poignantly of a man who experienced and continues to experience a profoundly traumatic life…yet still has integrity and deep compassion for humanity.
“The ‘fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars, but in ourselves…”
So it is for each of us.
Man, that “look” in her eyes just before the episode ended, gave me the chills. She was phenomenal in this series.
Reese Witherspoon can play a real be-yatch convincingly. OMG.
Her tele-husband clearly sees it. Vicious.
He never worries about money? hmmmm This one is losing me..dragging on and on about who is behind this…but mediocre acting is overriding the aging storyline. too bad. It could have been something had it turned supernatural instead of remaining mundane.
Well that was a big, fat bunch of pointless, plotless nonsense. The disgusting chewing and the screaming kid was just gross. This is up there with the stupidity of Killing of a Sacred Deer, and any other movie you can think of that doesn’t care to draw in the viewer with an actual plausible storyline (even if it’s fantasy, it still has to make sense).
This episode focuses on escaped viruses..particularly relevant today.
This hooked me; the protagonist Dr Jacob Hood is an appealingly human scientist focusing on solving bizarre events.
Interesting note: Episode #15 “Electro” addresses viruses. Sobering statement about viruses: “Viruses naturally keep mutating. That’s why a vaccine developed today will be useless in a year.” I regret that I heard that.
Gang of criminal hairdressers?
Ok…gotta take a peek..
I watched to the end, thinking WTF is this? :D I too would recommend stoned..lol
An excellent watch…we get to see Red in action: thrills chills surprises and gore. Starts out a very civilized business meeting vibe and then goes sideways—Good one!
Fascinating, absorbing, gut-wrenching. And the sobering potential effects of the ‘authoritarian’ parent also….
But I had a shocking reaction to
Natasha Josefowitz, the research assistant to Dr Newsome and his conscienceless study, the woman who lived in La Jolla and was quite full of herself with her friendship with the Obamas and so forth. What an empathy-less, remorseless human being.
The amused expression she had as she commented indifferently on the effects of the study she took part in.
I felt like slapping that smirk off her self-absorbed face, albeit that she is a nonagenarian.
Thank you so much for this amazingly revealing series. My own bizarre experiences hopefully will be explained.
clearly you are a trump guy .. well I guess you know im not american. heres the thing .. why do you still regard him as honest and sane when even FOREIGNERS regard him as a dangerous criminal? in Oz, it recently came to light hes been ringing our prime minister to quash the muller investigation
as if australia can stop US police from doing their job!
at some point tho, even you trump religious fanatics must ask .. why does the ENTIRE PLANET think you are idiots? ppl who usually dont give 2 fucks about US politics?
Thank you for your candor. I totally agree. And, though it may appear otherwise, MOST of us agree :)) Trump is desperately calling on these countries because he labors under the illusion that a) they like him (NOT) or b) he can leverage his office as president to enlist their aid in this impeachment scandal, so clearly he has only a passing familiarity with the Constitution
meaning he passed a copy of it hanging in a hall somewhere…
NOBODY likes a bully except other bullies.
This show is ok, but Mrs, Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is much better.
She needs to stop starring in so many other things…
SO WORTH IT! First time I have seen Mindy Kaling truly in her element, and it was impressive. I’ve never liked a thing I saw her in until now. She wrote her way into it.Impressive,
A crime aficionado doesn’t know what an “MO” is?
And hears a noise downstairs in the night and goes downstairs without a weapon and calls out? The acting and script…uh..this is a 5 star rated tv program?
Also, bad wig..
Whew! High praise indeed. So the acting stinks, the show isn’t well written, production values are low and the action scenes are lousy but if you have nothing to watch while folding clothes THIS IS THE SHOW FOR YOU!
Don’t ever get a job as a suicide prevention counselor. ;)
Surprising that Seth failed to mention that allowing companies to sell N95 masks manufactured in the US to OTHER countries forced us to buy masks from other countries that had inferior quality control.
That caused medical workers to wear masks they THOUGHT would protect them but which proved to be only 35% as effective as those made in the USA.
So medical personnel no doubt died needlessly as a result when they cared for Covid-19 patients.
Damn. that’s bad.
