Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018)
Just a soulless cash grab filled with as much irl product placements as you can imagine. The dialogue is nowhere near as emotional and/or inspiring as the first one. It’s like the characters lost their chemistry all of a sudden.
There was only one good scene in the entire movie that showed what could have been if the people working on it actually tried. It was the car chase scene and it was brilliant. The rest of the movie ranged from meh to absolute cringe inducing gutter trash.

That’s my OWN surgery. I’m insured with the AOK. This was pre post grad studies, 2nd year in university. Not through an employer or the like. Something tells me you have not studied at the Uni level though. You’d know why we laugh at such concepts like “student debt” - the only thing I had to pay for, were some books. That’s it. And this is while studying sports medicine and kinesiology. I’m speaking from first hand experience, you’re speaking from what you’ve heard. Vast differences. If you really are a German citizen, you’d know that you don’t pay for tuition at any level. If you’re just some expat living here? Then there’s you’re problem, you’re not German.

I’ve already spent way too much time on a movie’s comment section talking about a country’s current situation. But yes, I’m an EU citizen that studied in Uni and am currently working, and living in Germany. So what I’m talking about comes from first hand experience.
I guess saying “tuition is not free” wasn’t the right phrasing. More like studying in Germany is not cheap. I said there are costs ASSOCIATED with studying in the country of Germany that don’t simply involve the semester fees.

Tuition is not free. I don’t know where you get that bs. It maybe officially “Free” but as I said previously, there are costs ASSOCIATED with it that absolutely don’t make it free. Studying in Germany is something a lot of people want, but very few are able to afford (even for EU citizens).
And finally, yes she pretty much forced the country to accept refugees. Not for any other reason than we need to set an example to the EU, even though the German citizens are in general not at all happy at this development. No one’s talking about the overall crime rate in the country. I’m talking about the refugee crime rate, which has skyrocketed. And yes, there are plenty of programs that are associated with providing job specifically to refugees but are ESPECIALLY LAX when it comes to qualifications. No one forces the employers to accept anything. They are being paid with funds from the country for a hiring quota.
I could go on and on about these subjects but I just don’t have the time. If you’re living in Germany then it’s one hell of a nice dream. Because on my side of the fence, things aren’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Absolutely nothing!So are you all gonna stop watching jennifer lawrence movies and many other actresses/actors and stop listening to many musicians music because they made a sex tape? I do have certain actors I refuse to support at theaters precisely because of their abhorrent actions off the set. You fail to understand why people can’t tolerate and refuse to support Brie Larson probably due to consuming the demonstrably false misinformation that is being shilled out by the mainstream media.
No one cares that Brie Larson is a feminist and no one cares what her personal beliefs are. What people care is when she uses her personal belief to publicly attack people for being a certain gender or of a certain skin color. Which are the definitions of “Sexism” and “Racism”; ironically the same thing feminists and those rabid, frothing at the mouth fanatics of the left seem to think they’re fighting against.

Also.. something else I see so many Americans getting wrong. you’ve never once had a “left”. Even Obama, compared to the world stage, was more of a center right than anything else. Example, look at Germany. The government is conservative for over 13 years - yet no one attacks universal healthcare, tuition became free at all levels, and over a million refugees were accepted. Does that sound conservative to you? It should, but iot does not.. because the American “Right Wing” is what the rest of the planet calls “Far Right Wing” or “Radical Right”.
Just by reading this one comment I completely understand that you’re clueless about what you’re talking about. Germany does not have universal healthcare. At least not in the way you’re thinking. The German healthcare system is a hybrid model, combining statutory health insurance provided by the country (which only covers the basic visits to your GP) and private health insurance which can be bought like a monthly subscription. Getting sick in Germany is extremely expensive, although there are ways to mitigate a good portion of the costs. While my father was visiting me he had a mild anxiety attack. We called an ambulance. They looked at him for 5 minutes and charged us 300 euro.
The tuition, while affordable to EU students is not free. There are a lot of extra costs associated with studying in Germany that a lot of people don’t know about. I could get a PhD just writing about this one subject.
“A million refugees were accepted”? If by that you mean Merkel forced the country into accepting them, reconstructing usable building (like university stadiums and hospital wings) into shelters, handing out free jobs and money to them at the cost of increased taxes while said refugees rape and kill their countrymen (plenty of stories) as well as spend their days trying to radicalize the younger generation (again plenty of stories) then sure. I guess you could say they were “accepted”. Even though Germans (and even second or third generation muslims) are silently protesting Merkel’s actions and are at this very moment looking for ways to depose her.
If you’re planning on opening your mouth about certain subjects you have only a vague idea of, then I suggest you don’t. You’ll only look foolish.
Germany has problems you don’t seem to have an even basic grasp of. It maybe called the “Engine of Europe” but it is far from the utopian paradise you seem to think it is.

I am a 45 year old straight man who has never questioned his sexuality, it’s just who I am.I have worked with and know gay and lesbian people, hell my father came out as bisexual at about the same age that I am now.I have absolutely no problem with it whats so ever, but I know who I am! And from my experiences with knowing people that had a hard time accepting who they are,they pretty much lashed out against it. Most of the people I know all said the same thing.That they didn’t want to hear or see anything that had to do with it and called it a sin or worse. Not because they thought it was wrong or immoral, but because they couldn’t accept how they really felt about. Most bashers especially the devout religious, are so hateful because they see and feel something in their selves that they were taught is wrong. I really do feel sorry for the haters, because for the most part they are hating themselves.Make no mistake, those who put such things down in awful ways are the ones who are trying to hide from themselves and the rest of the world.And for the record, I know several lesbian couples that would make Sara and Eva look obsolete. They do much more than just exist.

And I have have never anyone who could be anymore wrong than you. As someone who is both bisexual and lived with a devout, hellfire and brimstone type of Christian grandmother (still love her regardless) that was homophobic I can tell you that your theory is complete bs. Yes, there are people like that but most homophobic religious people truly believe in what they preach. You see, the problem with someone like that is that they are incapable of understanding why the LGBT live and love the way we do. To them, being sexually aroused by the same sex is incomprehensible. The same way it is for me when I think about the foot fetish (except I don’t discriminate). And as we all know, people tend to hate, discriminate and reject against concepts of life they are incapable of understanding. My grandmother truly believed that such relationships were unnatural as they didn’t produce offspring and that there was a reason God created both man and woman. She constantly said that being gay was a trend that happened after homosexuality started becoming more mainstream (as she put it). I could go on and on, but it wasn’t just what she said but most importantly, it was the way she said it. If you could stand being in the same room with her during one of her rants, you would notice this. And in my conversations with various people over the years, I have learned to pay attention to people whilst they talk about this subject. Religious people, 90% of the time are malicious not for malice’s sake, but out of sheer ignorance on the subject and their unwillingness to learn. This is a problem with religion in general. Those types of believers stick to their holy scriptures and will spend their days never learning anything beyond what is written in them. Ignorance is the melting pot for all sorts of societal problems. From flat earthers and creationists, through sexism and racism all the way down homophobia. Not fear and self doubt. That is only a small portion of individuals. Most of which don’t cite religion as their cause.

Did I say I was speaking of myself? No, but talking point here is younger, malleable people because this is a popular show for teens who very likely are not 100% sure what sexuality is. Their idea of sexuality is in fact influenced by what the see, correct?
This portrayal of “how the world is” in Hollywood (that misrepresents) will obviously mold into more of a reality. So to say it won’t or can’t have an impact is ignorant and to attack someone that is making a harmless and true observation is opposing what I’m assuming your trying to represent here.
No problem with any of it. I just think it’s over the top and misleading for young people.

While I agree with your point that writers are shoveling too much of their own politics down our throats for no good reason, I sure hope you’re not one of those people that believes sexuality is a choice.

Dear God, I just watched season 7 episode 2 and all I have to say is that they’ve completely ruined the show. The snarky sarcasm has been replaced with overly exaggerated observational humor (which takes a lot effort to be successful). The subtlety is gone and now everything has been dumbed down and is constantly being explained as if we’re too stupid to get the humor any other way.
As for the characters, the new Mandy is horrible. While she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, she was without a doubt a competent fashion designer. Now, they’ve reduced her to a ditzy bimbo that has no idea what she’s doing (just watch episode 2), making every single moment she’s on screen a cringe worthy experience. The chemistry between her and Kyle is non existent, which was one of the funniest and most endearing parts of the show.
Kyle was also changed (and I’m not talking about his haircut). Before, he was this sweet kid that wouldn’t hurt a fly and was always considerate of other people’s feelings, even if he had to make sacrifices on his part. That was a huge part of his charm. Now, it just seems like his naivety was changed to emotional ignorance, where he’s not afraid of saying no and doesn’t seem to realize he might offend anyone.
Kristen, this is more of a appearance change which I know some might take offence to, but it just needs to be said. She looks like an old cat lady. ‘Nuff said.
Eve is trying to hard to be macho. Harder than she used to and I’ve no idea why they’re pushing this narrative. It just makes me cringe every time.
Overall, the show has take a huge turn and so far, it doesn’t seem like it is for the better. I’m rating the first 2 episodes at 2/5. Below average. Let’s hope they pick up speed and they bring some of its old charm back or I might just stop watching it all together.
