I Love My Mum (2019)
Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

I saw this last year when it came out. It was a fun movie. Entertaining in a sea of blah. It doesn’t deserve such a low rating.

Fatman (2020)
tapwater 6 points 3 years ago*.

What a waste of a great premise. This movie takes itself way too seriously so all of the cheesy fun you might expect is non-existent. It’s just a very mediocre action flick. ‘Santa’ is a boring grumpy guy that keeps being referred to as fat despite the fact that he’s not. He gets shot at and he shoots back, that’s all you get. I was extremely disappointed as I was sure I would have at least a few laughs.

Vigile 2 points 3 years ago.

Absolutely agree. It could have been so much fun, but it was poorly executed and just dragged viewers through a slow wait for entertainment that never quite arrives.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020)
somniloquist 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Larry the Cable Guy is still working. Go watch some Jeff Dunham. You’ll be fine.

Vigile 0 points 3 years ago.

It’s interesting how you guys all assume that those who aren’t in your camp are in the red neck Trump camp. I won’t be voting for either of these numbskulls. But seriously, you guys have really no humor and have ruined comedy with your insistence on making everything political and PC.

Borat Subsequent Moviefilm (2020)
Vigile -1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

So bad. SJWs think their humor is much funnier than it actually is. They’re ruining comedy with their take over of the industry.

The Putin Interviews (2017)
It's_A_TV_Site_Loser 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

You are literally 100% wrong.

“Russian” is not a race, it’s a culture. And it’s not even a monoculture (like, say, China).

Now personally, I think the statement “Russians have an art for lying” is simplistic and mildly offensive (although most Russians I know would laugh about it), but it’s not racist.

The word you want is bigoted. Although I wouldn’t even have bothered using that, personally.

They’re not interchangeable.

Get a grip.

ps - this is just a TV site.

Vigile -1 points 3 years ago*.

Semantics doesn’t remove the bigotry displayed in the claim, which is wildly wrong and wrong minded and says much about the commenter and nothing about the Russian people whom it attempts to besmirch.

For someone who claims to think my response was overblown based on the venue, you sure went out of your way by not only taking the time to respond, but to create a troll identity to do so.

The Putin Interviews (2017)
Twonk -2 points 3 years ago.

but he’s the opposite of honest, Russians have an art for lying, they see no shame in misdirection, western politicians divert the conversation when faced with an uncomfortable answer so they dont have to lie, so talking utter nonsense for hours to the public doesn’t phase him much

Vigile 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Racist much? Replace the word Russians with Jews and see how well that flies.

The Putin Interviews (2017)
Dante89 0 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Definitely worth a watch. Before going into this documentary I heard a lot of people complained because Oliver Stone was ‘’Too nice’’. Which I don’t get. He seems to be polite enough to wanting to have a dialogue with President Putin. And he seems to have a great way of asking his questions. Even though the answers are yeah, expected. But then again I think it is really something that we haven’t seen before even though these interviews are what to expect from a politician. Nevertheless very interesting and exciting for anyone who is a fan of politics, history and other cultures.

Vigile 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I live in Russia and Putin regularly answers questions in an open public forum. He will sometimes stand for hours responding to the questions of regular citizens with no limit on subject. What is profound in this is he answers without canned responses and is a master of facts and statistics. It’s quite refreshing to watch after spending a lifetime watching western pols answer questions with non answers while grabbing for sound bytes.

Dark Horse (2012)
snazzydetritus 2 points 3 years ago.

“A dark horse is a previously less known person or thing that emerges to prominence in a situation, especially in a competition involving multiple rivals, or a contestant that on paper should be unlikely to succeed but yet still might.” They are using it correctly. “Dark horse” is not necessarily a derogatory term, and the main character in this movie saw himself as a dark horse. The film is not centered around his family or himself viewing him as a black sheep…in fact, his parents enabled and coddled him to a degree.

Vigile -1 points 3 years ago.

I’m familiar with both terms. I stand by my original comment. The description here and on IMDB is of a black sheep. “Abe Wertheimer - an odious, purposeless, self-centered 35-year-old living parasitically with his parents (by choice) and working in his dismayed father’s business office (avoiding work while scoping eBay for collectible toys) - meets Miranda,”

dark horse: a candidate or competitor about whom little is known but who unexpectedly wins or succeeds.

Dark Horse (2012)
Vigile -1 points 3 years ago.

You would think they would have figured out they mixed the idioms dark horse with black sheep before they finished shooting. Apparently not.

Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots (2013)
Julianna 1 points 3 years ago.

Is there anyone out there who can tell me about this series? I really enjoy Tyler Perry’s creations but have never seen this one. Thanks in advance

Vigile 3 points 3 years ago.

It has really terrible acting and the writers force the actors to repeat the same lines over and over again. But the stories are fun, wild and compelling and sucked me in even though I generally hate soap operas and low-brow entertainment.

IOW, it’s a guilty pleasure and a lot of fun. Give it a try.

Teenage Bounty Hunters (2020)
Vigile 2 points 3 years ago.

Don’t be fooled that this is just a silly teen comedy. It’s one of the best written shows in literally years. There is no target demographic for this. Anyone should be able to appreciate the brilliance that they’ve accomplished with this series.

Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States (2012)
etim 2 points 3 years ago.

Do the vshare links work for you?

Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

Seems like no. I hadn’t tried earlier as I watched this years ago.

Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States (2012)
Vigile 4 points 3 years ago.

This should be required viewing for every high school student in the country.

A.P. Bio (2018)
Vigile 3 points 3 years ago.

I will never understand on visceral level how this show survived while the vastly superior “The Mick” was cancelled.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
ibgabe 8 points 3 years ago.

Are you really complaining that a Bill & Ted movie is immature? What did you expect?

Vigile 2 points 3 years ago*.

The original was entertaining and silly in a fun way. This was thrown together and was simply inane in a lazy and simple-minded way. It’s amazing to me anyone liked it. Audience expectations have eroded severely from 30 years ago.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Vigile 2 points 3 years ago.

I’m going to play party pooper here. Awful. It was painful watching Reeves, now an old man, behaving like a dumb teen and the plot was just a disjointed mash of the first two, slapped together with duct tape and literally no thought.

I’m more convinced than ever that Hollywood can’t entertain anymore.

Putin, Russia and the West (2012)
Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

Watching BBC in an attempt to learn anything meaningful about Russia and Putin will simply leave the viewer less informed than they were before they watched.

Outsourced (2010)
Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

Thank you uploader!

Lula: Behind Bars (2019)
Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

BBC will never tell the truth about Lula. If you want to learn about him, read Pepe Escobar, who has even had the opportunity to interview him in prison.

Frankie Goes to Russia (2018)
Vigile 1 points 3 years ago.

The BBC lied through their teeth about Russia and the safety of World Cup visitors to the point where nearly everyone in the UK stayed home. I live in Russia and enjoyed the games here in St. Petersburg. It was one of the best experiences of my life; something I will always cherish.

I’m afraid to watch this series considering the source. It’s got to be cringe worthy with claims of hooliganism and worse.

Valley Girl (2020)
Vigile 2 points 4 years ago*.

It’s like they took Valley Girl and let Debby Gibson and Pat Boone rewrite it.

Awful. Watch the original. It’s 10,000% better.

John McCain: For Whom the Bell Tolls (2018)
Vigile -2 points 4 years ago.

Does it tell how he created ISIS and set up a literal nazi regime in Ukraine?

The Good Fight (2017)
Vigile -5 points 4 years ago.

They’re ruining a perfectly good show with all this Democratic party nonsense. Both parties suck, so I’m not taking sides, but these people so focused on Trump fail to see how bad the system and their own candidates are too.

First ep of Season 4 was unwatchable. Let’s hope it gets back to the basics in the next one.

The Century of the Self (2002)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago.

If you haven’t seen this, do yourself a favor. Everyone needs to know this information. It’s probably one of the most, if not the most important documentaries of our time.

Come and See (1985)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago.

Thanks uploader! I’ve been itchy to watch this since I learned of its existence. It’s supposed to be one of the best war films of all time.

American Umpire (2016)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Utter nonsense. The US isn’t the world’s policeman. It’s the largest global liability, destabilizer and parasitic imperialist that exploits every nation that doesn’t have strong enough defense to resist.

Calling it the world’s police is spin for the plebes to throw them off the scent.

The Brink (2015)
Vigile 4 points 4 years ago.

This was a very smart, entertaining and funny series. It shouldn’t have been cancelled. Do yourself a favor and watch it.

Milosevic on Trial (2007)
Vigile -1 points 4 years ago.

It was a sham trial charging him with a genocide that never happened. He was posthumously acquitted and exonerated.

Little Voice (1998)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago.

Beautiful film. I recommend it.

The White Helmets (2016)
Vigile 0 points 4 years ago.

Fake war propaganda. These are terrorists.

The Hanoi Hilton (1987)
Vigile -3 points 4 years ago.

Poor, poor Americans suffered a bit after their planes full of napalm and bombs they were dropping on innocent people got shot down. What a tragedy.

Catch-22 (2019)
yborg -9 points 4 years ago.

very boring! I love military drama, action and documentaries, but this… all revolves around one guy and action is at its minimal… crap production.

Vigile 0 points 4 years ago.

I hate Clooney, but this was a brilliant adaptation of the book. You need to read to book to appreciate this. The book is classic literature and one of the funniest things in writing.

Ace in the Hole (1951)
Vigile 0 points 4 years ago.

One of the best films out there and totally underrated. Absolutely recommended.

The Irishman (2019)
Vigile 2 points 4 years ago.

It’s Scorcese and all the mafia film greats. What’s not to love? But it’s weird as hell that 76 yo De Nero is playing a younger version of himself. Why didn’t they just go the Godfather II route and give some up and coming actors a shot. That way the film doesn’t border on comedy too. Win win.

Hustlers (2019)
Vigile -2 points 4 years ago.

Getting through the first 20 minutes was a chore. I finally gave up. Why can’t they make entertaining movies anymore? Lopez a stripper at 50? Did she produce it herself to alieve a midlife crisis?

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago.

I love this series, but season 14 was a real stinker. Maybe they’ve run out of ideas.

Joker (2019)
Vigile -1 points 4 years ago.

This did not deserve 9 stars. It’s probably been so long since Hollywood churned out a 9 star film, folks have forgotten when they are like. 6.5 on a good day.

The Case for Christ (2017)
Vigile 0 points 4 years ago.

Man builds straw man. Man tears down straw man.

Pancho tilting windmills is more interesting.

Letters to Juliet (2010)
Vigile -1 points 4 years ago.

Nice film even if it is a chick flick.

A Dirty Shame (2004)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago*.

Pure John Waters and much better executed than his earlier works.

Deserves much higher than 5. It probably got downvoted by prudes.

Chasing Amy (1997)
Vigile 1 points 4 years ago.

For a long while this was my favorite film. Smith’s best. Every red-blooded young man would fall for Amy at some point in their lives.

World's Greatest Dad (2010)
Vigile 0 points 4 years ago.

Agree with the other poster. This film was brilliant. Bobcat is a unique film maker who is entirely underrated. He should be as well known as Tarantino as he’s just that set apart from the crowd. I’m not much of a Williams fan as he seems to rely on shtick, but he was fantastic here.

If you like this, you’ll enjoy Sleeping dogs lie too.
