Danny McBride strikes gold again. The actor who plays the sister is hilarious.

Highly recommend reading the book or at least listening to the audiobook. Essentially the same concept as the show except the story is exciting because it doesn’t have a hundred random subplots.

Genuinely curious to know how many people end up actually catching the credits scenes when the previous 8 episodes all had 6-8+ min of credits; you’d think that’d condition people to just turn it off. Anyway, I’m overall disappointed with the show as a whole and likely won’t plan on watching a season 2 if there is one. I don’t think it’s necessarily bad, but it just isn’t good and certainly not good enough to warrant a 9 episode series; episodes 1-8 could’ve been condensed into maybe 2 and the whole thing could’ve been a 3 episode mini-series, however, Disney needs those subscriptions to renew. It’s the reason why the Manadlorian is a weekly show as well, so I don’t feel as though that assumption is a leap in logic.

I was really interested in the concept before the series started, but it just stumbled out of the gate and dragged along each week. It unfortunately also confirmed the suspicion that many of the Marvel Disney+ series would be little more than glorified commercials for future Marvel movies. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad move, especially with how much world-building they have to do now that they re-gained the rights to X-men and Fantastic 4, but you have to call a spade a spade and this show was 3/4 gimmick with 1/4 substance.

If you enjoyed it then that’s great; I hope you continue to do so. I’m just not very optimistic anymore about any of the other shows in the pipeline if they go on to follow a similar formula. X-men the animated series is nearly 30 years old now and still holds up really well; that’s a high benchmark, but given the fact that Marvel has so many great creative minds on the team as well as Disney’s endless cash stack, it didn’t seem like much of an ask. Again, this is my opinion, so don’t bother arguing. However if you’re someone who enjoyed this series then I highly recommend you check out the X-men animated series either here or Disney+ as it’s currently available on both. Not only is it an excellent series faithful to the source material, but it’s a perfect jumping off point for anyone who’s not too familiar with X-men. Cheers.

Did this show get a new showrunner after season 1/season 2? Season 3 feels so out of place and the show as a whole is pretty far off-base from the book at this point. Still entertaining, but there is quite a bit of filler that doesn’t work with the overarching plot. Loved the book and the show is still entertaining enough to keep watching, but it’s disappointing.

Jeez, that lesbian couple was annoying all season and thought they were gone for good until a few episodes ago. Regardless, solid season IMO. I was very skeptical of mob boss Chris Rock after the first episode, but like most of the actors they’ve brought on the show, he hit it out of the park.

7 min of credits this episode…at this rate the season finale will be a total of 5 min show and the remainder credits.

lol nearly 6 full minutes of credits. Seems like the show is essentially going to be a commercial for whichever MCU movie they decide to use to tell the House of M story.

I was like 6 years old by the time the series was over, but remember watching re-runs as a kid. Now that I’m re-watching the series one of the first things I noticed was the unmistakable sound of Ron Wasserman in some of the music scores. His music was essentially the soundtrack to my childhood between this and Power Rangers.

These 4 mins of credits are ridiculous.

Knowing how stupid powerful Scarlet Witch is in the comics, the show announcement seemed like a pretty interesting way to flesh that out for just MCU fans. With that being said, I’m skeptical about how long the show runners will be able to keep that concept fresh if it goes the way of most popular shows where there’s no predetermined episode cap and it’s allowed to go until people lose interest. Definitely going to reserve judgement until the first season is over and I hope by then the writers surprise me by making Vision an even remotely-interesting character.

Now that’s what I call a sticky situation…I haven’t looked into whether or not FTWD changed showrunners or anything between season 5 and 6, but the first two episodes have been excellent. The opening sequence alone was better than most of season 5.
