Well, one could say they did slack off after the 4th season of the original run, and it went downhill from there - but this new one is a return to that glorious form!
This is not s. 3 ep 2 of Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s s. 4 episode 8 of “Ultimate Spider-Man” - completely different show.
They do exist in the MCU they just could not be referred to as Mutants. Wanda and Pietro aka Quicksilver are both mutants. Their dad was Magneto one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe.
Except Magneto does not exist in the MCU yet - the mutant versions of Witch and Quicksilver, are from Wundergore Mountain, their mother met Lensher and lived with him for a while. In the MCU, Witch and Pietro are shown to be Hydra superhuman experiments, experiments done on two orphaned children from “Sokovia”. The Quicksilver that was in Fox’s First Class, was Magneto’s son, because Magneto existed in that world.
The reason this happened is simple: While Marvel struggled in the 90s and sold off many of their rights, like Spider-Man to Sony, Mutants and Fantastic Four to Fox - Witch and Quicksilver were also in the Avengers books, most notably West Coast Avengers.
I didn’t say he did but. Wanda and Pietro and they are mutants. I am aware of all the issues because of Marvel’s money issues. I have been a comic reader and collector since 1980. I also went around and bought 21 copies of Hulk 340 and sold them all in 94 for 2000.00 a huge mistake. Live and learn Die and forget it all.
Well, as I don’t speak Spanish, and my mixdrop version had no subtitles…. this was a waste of 43.01 minutes….

Yeah, these subtitles are useless. Even when I select German, it only gives subtitles for the rare English bits
Fantastic little film, keeps you guessing - especially as everyone in the film is straight up a terrible person. No heroes here, just villains!

Absolutely brilliant. Not something one can often say about German films, but this was just bloody fantastic.
Nope they do not need the marvel people, they just need to hire the WB animated series people for the WB live action stuff as well. Honestly i feel the marvel movies other then deadpool and old man logan are made for children.
What they needed, is what they and Marvel did. Get people who know the comics to direct, and then not have the studio / parent company (WB, or Disney respectively) mess about with the director’s vision - as what happened to both Snyder and Ayer, where half of their films were left on the cutting room floor in an attempt to tailor it for the masses.
How the heck did Fury entrust Hill with “the Beeper” . He would have given it to Coulson way before Hill. But Coulson wouldn’t recognise Frigga as the solution, so it was good for the story.
Jason Momoa’s character gets called “Conan” in this ep - years before he would actually play that role.
The reference made to Lost Boys, rammed it home what kind of film it’s supposed to be - that is, one that does not take itself seriously at all. Well done.
Good show so far, the one thing that really pisses me of theses days is how they don’t subtitle shows anymore, long conversations in Spanish, Chinese, Klingon,(important plot changing shit) and I’m just suppose to know what the f#ck their saying?

He got that wrong btw. It’s not in any way shape or form connected to 2016 Suicide Squad. That is a TERRIBLE film, that nearly ended careers. It’s based on James Gunn’s correction to that film, 2021’s “THE Suicide Squad”.

This kinda feels like someone read the IMDB page for the first 3 movies, didn’t understand how all the characters fit into the story, but knew it’s about zombies.
Other way around. The first films looked at a synopsis of the videogame series it’s based on, and tossed it all aside to just use character names and make a schlock fest. This film, corrects that, mixing together the plots from the first two games in the series.

Past 50 years? Don’t be daft. The character did not even survive a decade in comics before being abandoned. The 2006 one, has the longevity and thusly the seniority. there’S a hell of a lot more out there on Kate Kane than Kathy Kane.

After how morbid and super dark an earlier episode went, this was a nice change up.
It cashes in on name recognition, but anyone looking for something similar to Romero’s masterpiece will be sorely disappointed.
Jason Momoa steals the show. The man hams it up with the best of them - clearly he had a lot of fun doing this, and it’S a joy to see.
Watched the 4 episodes shown for this series so far and its kinda creepy especially since I checked it out and the town actually has had a lot of attention in the news for exactly what they are showing here. So, do I think its a big foot? I think some things they were experiencing can be explained away. But, not entirely.
