Compared to the original version this isn’t that bad, I understand the reasoning of most of the changes given the differences between the U.K & U.S.A however the changes made to Jessica Hyde make her a complete sociopath rather than a likeable but damaged & sympathetic character. That one change makes it extremely hard to rally behind her.

Only a couple episodes in, But I’m enjoying it so far. Of course not as good as the original, But I’m not going to dwell on that. I’m just Happy that we might finally get more of the Story down the road sense there was only 12 episodes in the UK Original.

This is one of my favorites… very well written, top notch production, first class acting by everyone… They address the real issues of the times, the historical events, the bombing of a nightclub in berlin, operation Able Archer, The Jacklyl. Reminds me of watching the news with my grandmother during the cold war

I had never heard of the show before and just happened across it for the first time today… “Yay!” for the “Latest TV Shows to Air” category/page.
The synopsis looks pretty good/interesting and the TV Maze rating is very good. But I still wasn’t sure if this was something I’d want to watch. So I scoped out the review section and thankfully there were a couple! After reading your review I definitely think it’s worth a watch! Major thank yous for your review IncessantChatter! Without it, I likely would’ve added this to my very long “Watch Later” list and prolly would have forgotten about it. But your review saved it, lol. Thanks! 🤗

This episode was interesting/intriguing, at times a bit perplexing, in a few ways also sort of obvious but most of all CREEPY as all get out!!! Lol. And that’s saying something since several parts of several other episodes I thought were creepy as well… But this one really gave me the creeps, hebbie-jeebies, whim-whams, etc. Lol
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a show that keeps me on my toes, keeps me guessing like this one has. I won’t get into details at this moment bc right now it is time for the next one! Episode 9 here we go! Lol

So, I decided to cheer myself up, and also pass some time, by watching an episode of Big Brother!!! “Yay!” Right? No, frustratingly wrong!!!!! Grrrrr. I was really excited to see how the Veto competition would turn out!!! (There was only one, well… or maybe two houseguests, at the most, who could possibly ruin Memphis’s plans. And of course, the ONE person who I didn’t want to win, who could not win, did in fact win! I’m so soooooo annoyed! I have so much more to share about this competition, this episode and who I’m rooting for and who I’m not. But now, after the worst case scenario, not only am I exhausted, I’m too disappointed too even try to finish my review tonight. 😒😢😴 I’ll try again tomorrow.
Well, one last thing… Please BB spirits… I’m begging you have a twist that allows both of the nominees to stay!! If not.. even though I really, really like Kevin… out of the two nominees, Da’Vonne better not get evicted this! 🤞🙇🙏 Okie, good night all. ♥️😴🛌

Until about 2 weeks ago, I had absolutely no idea that PW had this feature! It’s made watching shows with subtitles so SO much easier! Prior to knowing about this I had not used the embed feature, not even once. But now I use it literally every time I watch a show with a foreign language! It’s totally cool! It was heartbreaking. And I’ve been wondering the same thing about next season!!! Maybe if they can’t film all of part of season 17, maybe they’ll do at least a few specials or something..?! So we don’t loose touch with them, so to speak! lol.
Also, Fingers crossed that they all are still okay, didn’t get covid-19, and will be back next season in this origianl show format or any other kind of show, weekly episodical series! I’d miss watching them too much to go a whole year without seeing them!!! 😢

I watched the first episode and I liked it! For some it may be a bit “slow” in some parts, but seeing as it’s the first epsiode, I expected that for character building, trying to hook the viewer with that kind of tension/intrigue. (Giving us just enough to wet our appetites.) Even the ending of the first episode is a cliffhanger of sorts, hehe, the writers/directors want us to come back and keep watching! So they tease us!
Personally, I really enjoy all kinds/sorts of dramas that have any combo of: supernatural, mystery, sci-fi, thriller, fantasy, science, etc. And I’m not sure which way this story will choose to go for sure, it could go or succeed/fail in any of those categories. Lol. (One episode isn’t enough to go on, to know for sure… not really.) But at least so far, I’m enjoying getting to know the main characters, getting a sense of the atmosphere/tone and seeing where the story goes! I hope this helps?!
And btw… I completely agree with ya about how this Primewire family is awesome-sauce, rocks my socks, is the absolute best! Lol 🤣🎉🤗♥️

Honestly, Primewire and all that the volunteers do/contribue for us here is, to put it simply… Is a blessing to me. I am disabled and often can’t go or do many of the things I want to. (At least not now/yet. I am still hopeful to get better/heal, eventually) So, I 1,000% rely on coming here to chitchat/discuss, and watch, all kinds of shows/movies! Being able to watch these shows/movies and have fun cinema discussions (and keeping in touch with my PW family about life and etc.) are often times literally my only way or means to escape my complicated medical issues, pain, stress/frustration, boredom (even more so now being quarantined bc of Covid-19)! Getting to watch shows/movies let’s my imagination run free and keep my mind engaged and learn new things! At least so far, I think this season is the best I’ve seen in forever…. All of these Allstar players are really on their game and play at a higher level than I’m used to seeing! I shouldn’t be surprised at how well they play the game- considering that they are dubbed “Allstars” who not only played before but played really well in their respective seasons. [Except for David who was booted out of the house on night 1 of last season, poor guy.] But with that said, I’m still happily surprised to see almost all of them playing at full speed ahead, right off the bat! Whoo-hooo! Lol! And its pretty darn cool to see many of them having/using some sort of BB intuition, instantly detecting when someone isn’t exactly being 100% truthful, omitting parts, knowing who’s in an alliance with whom and etc. 😂😂 All of which is amazing to me, since the house packed with platinum or basically professionak liars and manipulators! 😂😂😂 I don’t know how they all don’t go mad/insane or get so paranoid they blow up their game! Something else I find pretty cool about this season is that, for the most part, they all keep game play and personal feelings and opinions separate from one another. As I mentioned, “for the most part” haha excluding Nicole F’s and Jannelle’s petty beef or snarky comments to one another and Memphis’ condescending nomination speech when he put David up last week. I suppose what I’m trying to say, allbeit long-winded, is that this cast seems much more respectful to one another… so far.
And jeepers! I really didn’t plan on writting this much! More like ramble on! Haha. I must have too much time on my hands and been quarantined at home for way too long! 😂😂😂

This was an absolutely fantastic series finale! And oh my goodness, what a cliffhanger! Now though, the long wait for Season 4! grimaces Oh the agony! How am I supposed to manage or cope?! Ahhhhh! Lol.
This series is not only in my top 3 favorite/best shows that’s currently airing but is also one of the BEST TV series I’ve seen in a very long time, last 15 years at least.
Without a doubt, this series has that “Je ne sais quoi” or “X factor. Not to mention, the acting, directing, dialogue, cinematography and soundtrack are completely amazing and absolutely top notch!

Season one was finding the killer of young boys which was hard to watch. But, I’m not sure if I can take season 2 after watching episode one. Another dark season it looks like and yes, it is for affect but I find myself in a bit of a mind numbing wrecked state of mind after watching this episode. I’ve been keeping an eye out to see if you posted what you thought after you watched episode 2… I’m not sure if I can or should watch this series, for the same reasons you mentioned previously. Did you end up watching the 2nd episode of this current season, or did you hang it up after episode 1? I’m very curious to find out what you think of this current season, if you continued it! Even though season 1 is very dark and is about one of the most heinous types of crime, bc it involves children, is it still worth a watch bc it is so well done and or bc the storylines are so good? Is season 1 worth a watch without season 2??

Not the best series but, mehhhh decent. Good and bad parts to this season, but it does hold promise, if continued.
Monica Raymond, as an actress, has blown my expectations and her portrayal of her character, wow, blown what I expected “out of the water.” I am excited to see what her future holds as an actress. Looking forward to it!
Overall I’d give this series a 4 out of a 5 for content/main storylines, and a 5 out of 5 for acting. So I guess a 4.5 overall…. and that says something about its quality since this wouldn’t be my normal choice for a show.

Yes, it is hard to explain without spoilers. I have finished season 2 now and have started writing a review of it, but nothing I care to share at the moment, bc it’s just my ramblings and not put together. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I just saw the notification of your reply here… I have been unwell and totally stressed out.
But back to your question (without spoilers) Season 2 was very different from season 1. I would say it feels like it lagged for some of the season, to me had a kind of “Nikita-esque” feel but as the season goes on it does develope a bit more, or get back a little bit to original storylines…. it did not end the way I thought it would but I was okay with it and happy with how the story unfolded. Others may like it or not, everyone’s different. But in my opinion, it is definately worth a watch… even just to see how it unfolds. I don’t know if this helped at all but I hope it did. Best wishes! pretends to do a cool karate chop Hanna style lol.

I really like this show, but was a little apprehensive, was wondering how well or not well they’d the writers would do with the time travel and with starting out a new season…. it could go either rather easily; really well or REALLY badly. Lol.
And yay! I was pleasantly surprised- it was a great start to new season! Also, I’m pretty happy with how they structured the sequences/scenes, dialogue, explaining where we, the viewers, are picking the story up after such a long hiatus, break, off season. (In terms of recapping, I liked how they didn’t have loads of flashbacks and highly detailed conversations explaining what happened last season. We had a recap of sorts, but only a short and to the point update, dropped in natural-ish conversations between characters. Last season was not my favorite so I’m glad the show’s writers didn’t spend half this episode going over all that. Plus, it leaves space for the characters to catch up with one another, a little at time, which to me is better, and doesn’t come off as forced.)
So here’s hoping the rest of the season will turn out to be great!!! So, other than just waiting, and watching more epsiodes, “Only TIME will tell!” Hehehe I don’t think I could be sillier or more on the nose if I tried. LOL! 😉😆😂

The main characters are broody and depressed and they seem to pass it around to each other. Cardinal is damaged goods and Delorme, damaged as well, thinks she can fix him. Now he has another devastating event to deal with that just might push him over the edge.
I hate when shows become predictable. I will keep watching.

As with many other series, some episodes and seasons of this series are better than others. I really enjoyed the overall feel/vibe and plot (s) of season 1.
Season 2 and 3 sort of switch gears or go on slightly different tangents and seem to focus more on character development. But, the most recent episodes (in season 4), to me, feels like a return to how the first season was.
All in all, I’m glad I stuck with the show bc I really have liked/enjoyed it. So, I hope that if you stick with it that you won’t be disappointed

I’ve really missed Uhtred and Brida of course!!! I’ve also missed Aethelflaed (Æthelflæd), Hild, Steapa, Hastein and a several others! (Too many to list here.) And I should have been more specific and have said “Uhtred of Bebbanburg!” (bc I like saying “Bebbanburg” lol.) Not to mention how Brida is such a BOSS! 🙆 Oh! Plus, the actor who plays Steapa is flippin’ hot, 🔥🔥🔥 hehe, luckily like so many of the actors in this season are! No, I’m not going to list all of the really great 👀👌😘 looking actors, I must let you watch and discover them for yourselves, haha. 😉😆😍
And as with most stories that are done REALLY well, the characters are also done really well (meaning both villains and heros alike are awesome.) And, at least for me, great characters are like friends,…. you miss them when they’re gone and absolutely feel like celebrating when they are back! imagines myself high-five-ing each of the characters Hahaha ☺😊
Time to begin binge-watching this new season! (See you all afterwards, in a day or so, lol.) YAY! I love this series!!! 😲☺👀👍💝🎉👌🎯😎🎶💃😍💫💖 “LET IT BEGIN!!!!” followed by an evil, maniacal luagh “muah-ha ha ha!” 😆😂😂 And then runs dashes off to watch my show

Thank you for your review! I’ve heard a lot of opinions about this movie, usually one of two main groups- love it or hate it. Lol. But even after reading several comments, I was still was unsure what this movie was about or like and if I should give this a try or not.

Next episode airs on the 10th of October?!?!!! Drat… that’s a long time! I have felt spoiled getting 2 episodes weekly. Now I’m thinking too bad they didn’t spread it out more evenly, lol. Wawa, 2 weeks! That’s gonna feel like forever in TV time. 🥺😉
