I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time and I’m progressive

Wow, IMDb is even lower than that, rogerebert dot com is 3/4 and RT is 78%. Polarizing.

Any chance anyone has this show with subs?

expresso 1 points 2 months ago.

Have you clicked on the Request Links page on each episode? Once someone supplies live links to the shows, you can search the popular subtitle sites for subtitles you can load up and add when you start playing the show.

Really well done, very similar to the current season of True Detective in atmosphere and setting. Can’t resist binging… 5/5

Incredibly tight 100 minutes of non-stop action. Statham deserves to be the next Bond.

Did Scorsese intentionally make a B movie? or is it just that bad.

A Murder at the End of the World (2023) S1 E7
AmieWarren 3 points 4 months ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Andy should at least be charged with involuntary manslaughter, because he created Ray. It’s like if a self-driving Tesla ran over and killed someone, Musk would be responsible because the buck stops with him. Of course, the child would not be culpable, as he did not know what he was doing. You can’t escape responsibility by saying “I didn’t know that would happen if I did such and such.” Our laws must be updated to deal with these possibilities in the future.

Maybe not another season, but at least a movie to wrap it all up. I just don’t like endings where you have to imagine what you would like to happen.

expresso 2 points 3 months ago.

Just on the self-driving cars here’s the law nerd answer…Musk/Tesla hasn’t been legally liable for these accidents because even with a car in complete ‘self-driving mode’ a Tesla rider is still considered a driver “operating the vehicle” because they have control and the ability to make safety choices. The law holds that if you’re operating a machine you have a responsibility to make choices that will operate it safely. Congress should pass a law immediately holding Tesla and the other companies liable for accidents that happen while a car is even in supervised self-driving mode. The state of the law right now is that as long as self-driving is an optional choice they will always be able to blame the operator. That means manufacturers have no incentive other than market share to improve these systems. I don’t think congress will be passing new liability laws for anything any time soon.

Just curious - if it was Zoomer himself with no help from an AI, is the ending unsatisfying or lazy?

The shows go out worldwide nowadays. HC subs in English will screw with subs ppl will want to add in their own language.

expresso 1 points 3 months ago.

My experience has been that when you have a subscription to these there’s a setting in your account that lets you turn on or off any subtitles you want. They aren’t hard coded, by design for the reasons above and also to discourage downloading etc.

Zorro (2024)
Piglet 3 points 3 months ago.

Is this series out of Spain? If so, it will have subtitles which I don’t care for but might watch a few episodes. Zorro has been around for a long long time and old Hollywood made a few Zorro movies. Keep in mind, there are blond Spaniards and even some redheads too.

expresso 2 points 3 months ago.

I don’t know if it’s Spain or another country but it’s a Spanish language series. I grew up with the series and the movies on afternoon movie TV. To me Zorro has always been the tall dark swashbuckling type, this will be an interesting change.

END OF SEASON SPOILERS, FOR THE WHOLE SEASON 1. Absolutely magnetizing idea, I can’t stop watching….but the execution is pissing me off and giving me a massive headache. Like George and the rest, every episode I tune in thinking things are going to be better this time around, but. The complete lack of protocols and security everywhere hundreds of times in every episode are driving me mad with distraction. I want to throw stuff at the TV. It’s so intellectually lazy and it’s like they couldn’t be bothered. Nobody really gets spy training except for a shooting range. Stuff is never guarded and nobody gets caught on camera even though London is the CCTV surveillance capital of the world. You can have a bring your bae to work day to the most top secret facility, you can walk up and bluff your way into driving a nuclear bomb strapped to a regular semi flatbed through a border with no checkpoints, you can open a fridge and take out serum that’s a closely guarded national secret and give it to a random civilian, you can waltz into the Russian embassy with a gun in your jacket, because there are no metal detectors in any building, you can shoot the ambassador and their entire family and no SWAT team comes in to gun you down. There’s no surveillance on the agents themselves. I am hate watching but I’m powerless to stop because the idea is so out there. And it’s not like the writing is brilliant or anything. What is going on? It’s like I’ve lost all self respect. I’m wolfing down bags of cotton candy for breakfast.

Wasn’t expecting this show to bring this much emotion. I didn’t even make it 10 minutes into this episode. I’ll have to try again later. I wasn’t prepared for the uncontrollable bawling today. So realistic for dog owners.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)

I sure hope your right, really like the Aquaman movies, to me they have been among the best ones. Growing up I never really paid much attention to the guy in the comics, but Jason really brings something to the role that makes you really like the guy and you just want to root for him. He just makes you really LIKE Aquaman…

Lost Cities Revealed with Albert Lin (2023) S1 E3

This is an amazing series - half hard science and half adventure travel. I had never heard of this pre-Incan civilization that was wiped out by the Inca in a war. It’s fascinating to see them use LIDAR and other advanced technology to uncover ruins and find things that have never been mapped or catalogued.

Fast Charlie (2023)

And now for the spoilers comment. 70+ year old guy always inevitably teamed with an actress 30 years younger, amirite? I get PTSD just thinking about the obligatory ‘geezers n teasers’ sex outing but thankfully they spared us here.

Solid watch. Pierce Brosnan is better the less prettier he gets. Sharon Gleiss is deliciously filthy in a second standard-deviation from Burn Notice kind of way. She had fun : )

I can’t help but laugh with Bruce Campbell as Reagan after watching “burn notice”. Love, Fargo.

expresso 2 points 4 months ago.

Bruce Campbell is criminally underused. Probably by choice, he’s sitting on some decent bank from all the residuals. In my mind I will always see him in my mind somewhere warm and very expensive, nursing an umbrella drink.

It would appear that someone is following me and another person around and giving us downvotes. was talking to someone else on another thread a day or so ago and he noticed it as well. We were both getting hit for no reason, just to hit us it would seem. I told him sometimes it was just like that with some people in places like this with comments sections.

There’s gonna be that one person no matter where you go that just has no intention of playing nice with others no matter what. All you can really do is just take a deep breath, remember you’re the adult in the room, and move on…

expresso 3 points 4 months ago.

The cruelest form of torture for a troll is to ignore them. Don’t acknowledge them, don’t downvote, say nothing at all, deprive them of their amusement.
