Creepshow (2019)
rdmovieman 1 points 4 years ago*.

it was nice to see some of the original actors and I love how the show has the same feeling to it. I wish they would have given it more of an 80’s feeling like so many other shows and movies are doing. I do agree with some of the comments, the acting from a few of the actors is really beginner or low budget, and the crypt keeper looks so bad that It really does look like its just a cheap Halloween mask. they really should have budgeted for a better entrance to the series than that sub par mask. love the original comic book art… would have been cool if they made the crypt keeper a cartoon like the cryptkeeper series from the 90’s.

Prequel, not sequel. Someone who saw the movie and is so nostalgic for it should know that.

if youre speaking to me, I never said that it was a prequel, that was robophone.

I was really looking forward to this like so many others, and the studio’s did not disappoint . the series picks up hundreds of years in the future from the original movie. With its beautiful scenery and wonderful puppetry, the Jim Henson’s studios was really able to bring this classic back to life. the series stars off a little slow, but picks up around the 4th episode. definitely give it a chance, you wont be disappointed. it really feels like you back in time watching the Dark Crystal for the first time with a little bit of Fraggle Rock thrown in.

BH90210 (2019)

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again…WOW what a reboot! this show def leaves you wanting more with the end of every episode. It has that old 90210 feel with a twist. big ups to the writers for coming up with such a creative outlook on the actual lives of the actors portraying themselves portraying there acting roles, very similar to Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. everyone that was a fan of the show should take the time to check this one out. The series has an emptiness though with the loss of Luke Perry, and you can definitely feel that loss and love for the actor every time his name comes up on the show. RIP Luke Perry, you are missed.

WOW! I cant wait for season 2. this series is a must see for any syfy fan. get comfortable because its gonna be a long ride. you’re not gonna want to stop watching this epic journey, I couldn’t help but binge the entire series in one sitting. the cgi in episodes 9 and 10 could have been a little better, but im not complaining ( you’ll understand when you get there). The shows a mix between Aliens, Battlestar Galactica, and Lost in space. It kind of has a feel of an older Stephen King movie, like the langoliers or The stand. Enjoy.

Stranger Things (2016)

A definite must see. Oh my god… season 3 is the best season yet! this is a must see for any fan of the series, or anyone that’s a fan of any 80’s genre. this series really pulls you back in time, and makes you feel like you’re sitting at the Hoyt’s theater, in the 80’s, watching a movie that just came out with your jumbo popcorn with extra butter. The way that the director and the writers can make you feel the emotions and sensation that you’re right there in the movie with the actors, sitting on the edge of your seat afraid that if you turn away for a second that you’re going to miss out on some key piece of the series , or even just something small, is just for a lack of words….sensational!

Monster in the Closet (1987)
rdmovieman 0 points 4 years ago.

this is one of those movies that you watched as a kid, but cant remember the name and it drives you crazy trying to think of it until it pops up on here, you watch it, and cant believe you liked it as a kid because it is so bad that its good. it has a very similar feeling as attack of the killer tomato’s, and is def a cult classic in my opinion. def worth a watch if you have nothing else better to do, and cant find anything else. so get the blanket, popcorn, and dont forget to check the closet:)

The Big Bang Theory (2007)
rdmovieman -1 points 4 years ago.

watching this show for so many season’s and for so long, kind of makes me feel like I was sitting right there on the couch with the rest of the big bang theory family, like i’m sure it does for so many others. And as I sat and watched the final episode, as the cast held back there tears during some of there best scenes in my eyes, I couldn’t help but feel like I was losing a member of my own family, or members. And as the speech was given, by you know who…(no spoilers) and while they all held in their tears, I found myself holding in mine as well. Watching the show for so long has become part of my life, and It really saddens me that a part of my life has comes to an end, almost like I’m losing a body part. Ive been binging the show now from season 1, buts its just not the same knowing that when I come to the end of season 12, there is no more. Hopefully the show can be picked up from another network, but some of the actors have said that they don’t plan on coming back if that was to happen. hopefully as time goes by, they will end up staring to regret that decision and change there minds. much love to the cast, writers and directors of this fabulous piece of TV history that a lot of us will remember for the rest of our lives.

Good Omens (2019)

fantastic amazon series, well worth a watch. I binged the entire season in one sitting. Its a great story about good prevailing evil, A battle between heaven and hell. This series has is a mixture of comedy, drama, action and a little bit of horror… but not much. its a great show for the whole family, but be aware that there is a few spots with some language, and a few nudity scenes, but only showing the buttox of a male and female. it shows that you cant judge a book by its cover, and that you can be anything you want to be. enjoy the show…sorry… no Tardis :) and for everyone hoping for a season 2, It looks like if there is its going to be a long wait. here is a what the the writers said in an interview…
Gaiman told Den of Geek at last year’s New York Comic Con: “It’s a book, it’s a limited series, and we start at the beginning, we go to the end, we’re done, we walk away hopefully with people incredibly happy, smelling of roses, and with people saying, ‘Why can’t you do more?’ And we say, ‘Because Terry and I only ever wrote the one book.’”

Blood & Treasure (2019)

good show so far, has a lot of promise. The show is a mixture between Indiana Jones, The Librarian and a little bit of TNT’s Leverage.

Weird City (2019)
rdmovieman 2 points 5 years ago.

What the hell did I just watch? Its one of the weirdest shows, but it makes you want to watch another episode just to see what will happen. I cant believe ed o’neill did this show. Its just really weird to watch him play the character that hes playing. I grew up watching him on married with children, and Im used to him being a mans man…. Just weird.

The Masked Singer (2019) S1 E4
rdmovieman 1 points 5 years ago*.

I think the rabbit is lance bass. hes an animal lover, vegan, actor and band member and they wore white costumes similar to what the rabbit wears. I think the crow so far may be queen latifa, and the peacock is niel patrick harris.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
rdmovieman 7 points 5 years ago.

WOW, this show is so good. I give it a 5/5. the acting and the beautiful artwork that they do with cgi are right on point( and I do mean artwork) it feels more like you’re watching a movie than a tv show. They must have an outrageous budget for this series…. and it shows.

The Passage (2019)
rdmovieman 1 points 5 years ago.

Im really pleasantly surprised with Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s performance. This ones definitely in the runnings of being one of this seasons # 1 ratted shows. I give it a 4/5 and definitely worth a watch. Looking forward to episode 2.

Bumblebee (2018)
rdmovieman 0 points 5 years ago.

quality of the movie is 6/10 video and 8/10 audio. its slightly zoomed in so you cant see the entire screen, and the video is a little bit below VHS quality, but its still very watchable. I was excited to see this movie because I love anything 80’s, but I feel like the movie fell a little short. If you’re thinking this is going to be another action packed transformers movie, you are very mistaken. don’t get me wrong, Its definitely worth watching, but it had a little to much drama and not enough action. The acting could have been a little better, John Cena seemed like he wasn’t even trying, and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. seemed like he was trying too hard. all in all I give this movie a 2.5/5
