I like the new captain falcon america suit but I was kinda hoping the suit would be the OG red and white one from back in the day.

Sam tells his sister to take the boys and go somewhere safe. Where is safer then Avengers tower at this point? Thought Sam is a Avenger? Tell them to go any one of the Avengers safe houses or go hang out with Uncle Banner or Aunt Pots geesh.Holy smokes what a way to tarnish the shield!

My goodness, Wyatt Russell at times sounds like his dad Kurt Russell. He definitely has features from both of his parents. We shall have to wait and see if he’s got their acting chops as well. I was also concerned that Emily Vancamp would be leaving the tv drama “The Resident” but she filmed both shows and both dramas are filmed in Atlanta. Then I realized that The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is a “mini-series” from Disney +.

Xsile 2 points 3 years ago.

I honest to god did not see that until I read your post and went back to watch again! I think Kurt brings a certain innate charisma to any role he plays but I am just not seeing that here, but time will tell.

I really liked this first episode and how they have humanized falcon with the family issues instead of making him a lofty avenger. Very down to earth. Also like what they are doing with Bucky.

No britt series is ever complete without some shots of the white cliffs of Dover. Best episode. So funny to see the light bridge at the end after I just watched a documentary about synchronicity and how the light bridge had to be refitted due to sway.

I like them short. Long long seasons make it hard for them to keep it interesting. I guess they run out of ideas really. just check The Flash, Supergirl, etc etc
Short seasons keeps the audiences longing for more!

Xsile 2 points 3 years ago*.

Never got past the first season of supergirl that show is awful imo. The flash was good up until hawkgirl so I gave up on it. I still liked it when shows had long season like TNG, Voyager, DS9, Andromida, StarGate sg1 all of which I feel kept everything interesting. TNG 7 seasons at a average of 26 episodes per season. IMO it boils down to lack of imagination with today’s writers who more often then not resort to the same old formulas and tropes.

That is how SYFY keeps from spending real money.
Killoys ran for 5 years - 10 episode per year.
Also they tend to cancel shows after 3 seasons to keep from having to pay more per episode.

Xsile 4 points 3 years ago.

Very sad but true.

I like this show! But I am sorry, Olivia Munn, though very pretty and great personality has the acting range of a paper bag. She needs to go back to hosting show because she was actually really great on attack of the show.

I really like this show! Really wish these companies would stop doing these short seasons and go back to 24+ episode seasons instead of just 12 10 or 8.

This movie! Wow! The difference between this and the Joss Whedon version is like a gourmet chef cooked steak to perfection VS. A Mc Donnads hamberger cooked by the guys from clerks 2 that dropped it on the floor twice.

I liked this, it seemed a bit slow in the beginning but I could actually feel the anxiety the main heroin was going through. Also sort of liked the whole blue pill red pill matrix thing with the keys.

Superman & Lois (2021)
greyfur 5 points 3 years ago.

Was actually not a bad first episode, truth be told. could have been worse, and i really didn’t have high expectations. this could turn out to not be all that bad if they keep going they way the have started out, and don’t go woke on us. Going to give this a chance with my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Xsile 0 points 3 years ago.

would be amazing if they go the dark route and spin this into the comic where joker infects superman with krptonite laced joker toxin and tricks superman into killing his kids and Lois.

Made up crap lol. You do realize that most of “history” taught in schools is exactly that. Acting like your some kind of scholar. And anyway it’s a fantasy tv show not a historical documentary.

Xsile 1 points 3 years ago.

True but I did not learn American history from the American school system. I was born in America but moved when I was to young for school and moved back after graduate school. Now moved out of America and the America’s 3 years ago. So do not assume I had the same education as someone that went through the American school system. interesting that you would consider what I said Scholarly enough to think I was acting like a scholar. Thank you for the compliment.

Batwoman (2019)
dagon51777 -3 points 4 years ago.

considering that the whole story is based on a comic, whereas modernized into the LGBTQ communities, i’m pretty sure watching a comic book based show is going to give you lectures and facts from actual comic books. FYI, batgirl, batman, and batman were DC comics. Green Lantern is Marvel. CW is full DC. you’ll never see a lantern on CW. might want to check Disney+ for that one. you know…since they own the Marvel rights since Stan Lee passed away..RIP Stan.

Xsile 4 points 3 years ago.

Did not know Marvel bought the rights to DC’s Green Lanterns. When did that happen?

Altered Carbon (2018) S2 E3
puppy528 1 points 3 years ago.

It’s not just the gore and skin; everything in this season seemed so tame & tired by comparison, and all-around less boundary-pushing. Season 1 set the bar so enjoyably high, too…

Xsile 1 points 3 years ago.

Could not agree with you more! It seems that are pulling a stargate. Back when stargate the series appeared on showtime the first season didnt have much in the way of gore but it had skin and swearing. Then second season came along and zero swearing or skin and the over all violence was toned down. Went that way until season 5 then moved to scifi channel before the moniker change to syfy. Looks like this is following that model sadly.

WandaVision (2021) S1 E2
greyfur 0 points 3 years ago.

I have followed a LOT of the X-men stuff over the years, and while it’s been a bit since I have been able to read any of the newer stuff, I don’t recall running into anything like this. a lot of people keep talking about the House of M in relation to this, and I have seen some of that, though no all, and don’t recall any of this in there either.

Xsile 4 points 3 years ago.

Not saying that it is following House of M exactly as 99% of comic translations to screen hardly ever do. However after looking further into WandaVision and it’s relation to house of M, I found several articles that clearly state it is inspired by house of M and could possibly be the MCU version of house of M. One such article is in forbes.

Gotta love how the woke-ism crept into this episode when previously there was none. Must be a new sjw writer on staff.

WandaVision (2021) S1 E2
Themoo 3 points 3 years ago*.

Pretty sure it does tie in to the MCU. Wandavision looks to me like a look into her mind as she descends into grief stricken madness. The bits we saw in colour during the first 2 black and white eps gave quite a few hints about what is happening in the real world outside.

Xsile 3 points 3 years ago.

Having seen the movies and reading the entire house of M series I would say that it is following more along the lines of house of M which does not tie into the MCU. However this could change as the series progresses and maybe they are going to try and bring house of M to the big screen MCU with this as the catalyst.

So what do advise? Just start watching X-men before men? I’ve watched the movies when they came out but don’t remember all of it. I wanted to watch this for pure entertainment purposes and I don’t think I’m too critical when it comes to movies

Xsile 5 points 3 years ago.

The movies do not tie into Wandavision at all. However the house of M X-men comic run does and will give you a lot of context about wandavision. I would suggest starting with a search for X-Men House of M.

WandaVision (2021) S1 E2
Xsile 3 points 3 years ago.

I you do not follow the comic’s, mainly X-men. You will not understand that this is based on a wildly successful comic run. Some say possible one of the best story arc’s in the X-men.

WandaVision (2021) S1 E1

It still amazes me that it took only one year for Burnam to completely fall apart and forget all her years of star fleet training and Vulcan training. I am surprised that she was so reliant on her support structure that as soon as she was without it she fell apart. She has turned into is a embodiment of self crisis.

I just find it really sloppy and shabby to make Burnam such a weak character after building her up to be so mentally and emotionally strong in the first two seasons. She basically tosses all here Vulcan and star fleet training out the windows after only 1 year apart from her crew. She honestly should be busted back down to ensign and feel some Harry Kim pain.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S3 E3

OH MY GOD

The writing is this one peaks in stupidity. How much more can you fake emotions, how much more can you create fake vilains. TNG writers are crying.

Xsile 0 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

Johnathan Frakes directed that episode..A TNG writer/director lol. I felt is was lack luster and pretty lame considering Burnam somehow tosses all her Vulcan trained mental discipline and star fleet training out the door after just 1 year without her crew. So much for all that training.
