The phone in scenes i think were spot on when it comes to virtual live streaming. Ever watch a live stream of a book/movie panel or comiccon live stream with people not attending(tv show talk shows) the live event but are at home on screen? There is an absolute pause-delay in the stream flow. Kind of akin to the old TV bleeping of foul language back in the 1950s through current years. What viewers actually view is a feed that is 3 second-delayed from that which the producers/directors/video employees actually are viewing within real time clock seconds on set. Therefore, they had/have ability to BLEEP out the foul words before it reached the viewing audience at home. So phone in timing was not ‘off’, Imho.

I do agree with the ‘writing’ it was short of comical validity per the Connors actors’ chemistry with each other. Did they lose a showrunner writer, and not replace them yet?(rhetorical)… Time will only answer that question.

Fail! But, more importantly: why?
Timing was off in the cell phone scenes.
For a comedy, the writing was abysmal.
…episode not befitting a season starter.

thanks - really love this show but by the time you get to the end of the 2nd episode - the narrative often seems muddled and unconnected to the events of the beginning

Absolute agreement! Big “meh” from me. I get the need to provide some back story to The Reapers but did they? Lot of talk from but nothing impressive.

Great episode! Favorite line: “Your poverty offends me.” I love her!

Did this just get dark? Like “what sort of metaphysical experimentation is going on here?” darkness…that last line…nah…maybe it’s just me.

Well, they didn’t get Cipher and Dom & Jacob are bros again…that pretty much tells you what’s in the next one.
It’s movies like this that make me so THANKFUL for PrimeWire; not getting pissed about wasting my money on such a disappointment.

Oh thank Gawd Ben finally came to his senses!! I wonder if the sitcom gurus will think it best that Darlene have a happy ending (no, not THAT kind of happy ending!) since we all know how undeserved that would be.

If the feet is died inside of her stomach wouldn’t it have become a zombie seeing how everybody’s infected and anything that dies becomes a zombie. Also I can guarantee you I got what’s going on already. The people underground are in a nuclear asylum and they needed the key to set off nuclear explosions which would clean the Earth of all of the zombies and leave the people left behind underground to become the new nation of whatever… Pretty sure that’s how it’s going to turn out. And why the heck would you listen to a lady that just had a dream.. oh she must be right because she yelled.. how stupid was that one. Definitely right though it was somewhat of a tearjerker to watch.

Hollywood will never learn that when in a war zone, one does not walk down the middle of the street. I get that the bombing raid shot required centering but it didn’t make sense when they were simply walking around before the raid. And don’t get me started on the lack of light discipline!

But I agree - that ending was so unexpected! Nevertheless, what a sigh of relief…finally!

Answers wouldn’t require a deep dive into the script. It’s obvious.
They think their depressing, go-nowhere lives entitle them.
You know their mothers didn’t raise them that way.
What kind of man would allow the mother of his baby to be beaten up by his girlfriend?
It’s a very violent community.

Apparently, the decision was made by the man who created the show and whose life it is based on. The entire cast was expecting another season and are still angry about it being cancelled.

Simu Liu, who plays Jung, will be playing Shang-Chi, the lead character in the Marvel universe movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” Good for him.

I knew that was coming! From the first interview, I couldn’t get over how much stuff the doc was carrying into the room. And all the while, really only needing two or three items, at most .
