The Croods: A New Age (2020)

I truly enjoyed this funny sequel. I couldn’t stop laughing. Great animation. Loved the 1970’s song ‘I Think I Love You’ by David Cassidy/Partridge Family being part of the film score music, and, Tenacious D’s 2020 remix cover he did for the end movie credits.

The Outpost (2018) S4 E13

I didn’t expect to get so emotional at the end. Gonna miss this show. was a brilliant written masterpiece that proves all races of beings can get along and work as a community. Sure, took them 4 seasons to get to that point, but the premise from the beginning was for all people with different bloodtype, race, ‘ethnicity’, to work as a team, a community instead of fighting a long eon fight because that’s what their ancestors did.

Long live Queen Talon and King Garrett.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999) S23 E4

Talk about egotistical, hot head, narcissistic, overstepping, lack of empathy and compassion, louses, with higher commissioned departmental status. The wrath Olivia rained down on MacGrath for his double standard interference which caused ‘revictimization’, and ‘silencing’, of the poorest class victim was right on, perfect, and epic!

Perfect message presented in this episode. Something I have not seen in quite some time in this program. A spotlight on the inside system attempting to make the decisions and choices for, and of, rape victims.

McGrath is crooked, and, IMHO has a dirty secret in the department. I cannot wait to see SVU find that smoking gun and take out McGrath. (at least this is my suspected theory to this seasons story).

This will not be the last time he oversteps Olivia.

This episode will definitely trigger mom’s with young children who have been raped. Heck, my kids are adults and I had to keep myself in check from becoming ‘triggered’ after hearing part of the dialog.

Young Sheldon (2017) S5 E1
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

A very ‘telling’ episode of what will transpire, not only this season, but also, in seasons to come.

All I recall now is the spoiler adult-Sheldon talked about during the TBBT days(The Big Bang Theory). I only wonder if we will get to see that very unfortunate event in Sheldon’s life unfold in great detail from which he started knocking 3 times.

The show has already been renewed for 3 more seasons beyond season 5. Wonder when the penultimate, somber, event will happen. Will they drag it on through the next 3 seasons and have 1, or 2, seasons filled w/flashbacks for that character? OR???? Hmmm… timejump a few years? So many ideas to ponder. I just hope the writing team keeps the age and events that happen with Sheldon’s dad in strict continuity.

ROFL. This was an absolute gut buster episode. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Riverdale (2017) S5 E19
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

WOW. That was an explosive finale. What will the Archie Gang do without their hero leader and his trusty FBI mate next season? (or are they ‘really dead’ ? Did Barchie somehow survive and go ‘underground’ to foil more explosive revenge from Hiram?). Yeah, Hiram ain’t gonna leave town without resorting to more revenge in order to take over the town.

Blessed Be, Cheryl!!! Finally, after all these years, happily embracing her Witch lineage by hexing her own friends. I’ve been waiting 5 seasons for the Blossom Black Magic to evolve into Darker Magick Force.

I wonder if there will be a twist with Thornhill, since Cheryl will not allow it’s land to be reincorporated into Riverdale. With being it’s own hamlet now, Thornhill can easily fall into Hiram Lodge hands. Will there be a team up with Cheryl and Hiram to reek havoc on Riverdale? This will be Hiram’s only way of securing the Paladium at Thornhill. Or will Cheryl go all BloodRedWitch on Hiram and her Riverdale friends.

Looking forward to season 6 and finding out if my plot ideas will happen or not.

Absolutely brilliant, entertaining, and, as many others have previously stated, It was done well. Loved it!

The Resident (2018) S5 E3

I could not stop crying through entire episode. Yeah, I’m emo that way with heart tugging episodes on any tv program and movie. That’s just me. I know it’s just entertainment, yet the plot, the dialog, gets to me.😢

Come Away (2020)

I give this 5 yawns. And many thumbs down. I could not get through the first half hour, maybe 40 minutes, before finally stopping the film.

Ammonite (2020)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

A quiet, yet loud, film about a women being stepped over and not acknowledged for their self-taught/life educated, time consumed passion for discovery, detail, and self-employment. Especially during the Victorian Era when men not only frowned at women for such things, but, were intimidated by their inept ability to show great detailed knowledge of particularly male dominant fields of study. Mary’s story, her life, and her career path, were the pioneering first step for women’s employment equality, as well as, a catapult into the world of notability amongst her fossil hunting, paleontology/archeology peers.

I thoroughly enjoyed the quietude within this film. Quietness lent to the eyes and senses to see the story through body language/posture, eye contact, emotions within what little dialog or camera scanning written letters, was present.

2 thumbs up/5 stars. Great film. Will watch it again 1 day.

Code 8 (2019)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This is an absolute must watch. 2 thumbs up. 5 stars. The acting, plot, and, sci-fi special effects, were very well done for this indie film.
The plot did have some looseness to it where it could entertain the idea of more films, allowing for a prequel, and, sequel. In fact, I recently read that Code 8 Part 2 has been acquired and will be in development soon. The Amell cousins, reprise their roles.

Time Trap (2018)
moongoddess 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Thought the first half hour to 45 minutes was a drag. I kept fast forwarding a few minutes ahead. Mediocre acting from the youth in the film. I can’t imagine something like this ever existing in reality, but, where there is science there’s bound to be some sort of metaphysical vs physics entity that is created that lends a hand to the destruction of civilization.

It’s a good ‘I’m bored today what can i watch to pass the time’ type of movie. It’s a 2 thumbs down from me.

Dynasty (2017) S4 E22
moongoddess 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

What a bang of a cliffhanger! Who got shot, and, who shot the gun were immediately answered in the last 10 seconds of the show! But wait…could there be more than 1 shooter? Anyone else get shot? Could all shooter’s guns have gone off simultaneously? And what really happened at Alexis’ penthouse? Tune in next year for season 5 to find out. I can’t wait to see what the writing team has in store for next season. I bet it’ll be quite explosive.

The Conners (2018) S4 E1

You’ve got a point re 3-second time delay. But that’s not a new thing. I mean, shouldn’t there have been a pause to allow for the delay? Not pausing made it seem as if they were running over each other. Despite it being live, production should have worked that out.

moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

IF i was ‘not aired publically Live’ production would have that half hour or hour to ‘work that out’ before air time. Remember, Hollywood programs don’t just air and are filmed on set during our time zones scheduled air time. They do the ‘live in front of studio audience 6 to 12 hours, sometimes a day before, the actually televised air date. When something literally ‘GOES LIVE for TV, productions edits are not going to happen. So we get to view all the ‘flubs, mistakes, split second moments they forget their lines(most don’t if they are seasons actors, but then again. some days they still forget and end up ‘ad libbing’ or the responding character needs to ad lib a total different response than first originated within the practiced script. It’s like viewing a stage play or broadway stage production. Even mishaps and mistakes in verbal scripts take place. But the show must go on. Your viewpoint is completely valid and it’s great that you noticed the few screw ups, be they ‘technical in nature’, and/or ‘off script/ad lib’. I caught a few ad lib words within this live for national viewers’ episode. And loved how they all seemed to run with it each time. When there are veteran seasoned actors they can fix anything the younger actors may slightly screw up. It’s harder to detect such things once production has the time to edit/splice and ‘fix’ those instantanious mishaps.

Fail! But, more importantly: why?
Timing was off in the cell phone scenes.
For a comedy, the writing was abysmal.
…episode not befitting a season starter.

moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The phone in scenes i think were spot on when it comes to virtual live streaming. Ever watch a live stream of a book/movie panel or comiccon live stream with people not attending(tv show talk shows) the live event but are at home on screen? There is an absolute pause-delay in the stream flow. Kind of akin to the old TV bleeping of foul language back in the 1950s through current years. What viewers actually view is a feed that is 3 second-delayed from that which the producers/directors/video employees actually are viewing within real time clock seconds on set. Therefore, they had/have ability to BLEEP out the foul words before it reached the viewing audience at home. So phone in timing was not ‘off’, Imho.

I do agree with the ‘writing’ it was short of comical validity per the Connors actors’ chemistry with each other. Did they lose a showrunner writer, and not replace them yet?(rhetorical)… Time will only answer that question.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Glad to see the peanuts gang still educating the youngsters. And adults getting a refresher course in history and aeronautics. Disappointed that episode 10 is missing(mission 10). The links that are up are not of this program, but of random youtube channels unrelated to this program.

Thank you to uploader for correcting the link mistakes of episode 10 and uploading correct program link.

The Snoopy Show (2021)
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago.

I truly enjoyed this. The Peanuts characters were kept to their true persona’s, including Snoopy and Woodstock. Nice to see a spin off of the old Peanuts-Charlie Brown programs. If you can call this a ‘spin-off. Well worth watching alone, with the family, or just let the kids watch.

Chip 'n' Dale Park Life (2021)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Not at all like the original Chip & Dale I grew up watching back in the 1970s. The first episode shows them stealing acorns from a dog, resembling Pluto, and his family of pups. Then by the end of the program, the chipmunks share the nuts with the pups. This leads to false impression that nuts are good for dogs. Many nuts are poisonous to dogs. Especially acorns, hazelnuts, almonds. Not worth watching this series, in my opinion.

Dickinson (2019)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

While this adaptation is barely ‘historically accurate’ I find the plot much more in a metaphorical morbid tale. The writers seemed to adapt season 2 according to the writings, notes, and ‘rewritten letters’ in the written historical account of Em’s brother’s mistress, Mabel. In actual historical documentation, Mabel, is the mistress who paints Em and Sue’s relationship as tumultuously cold, rigid, and in a battle to do ethically and societal correctness. But their true relationship, Em’s and Sue’s, was nothing but warm, kind, and loving.

The Reapers presence is a hoot. The viewer needs to quickly differentiate between Emily’s reality vs her internal self doubting minds discussions (the reaper). Hence why she did go a bit ‘mad’ in reality and was a recluse because of her self doubt and lack of self worth. It is from Emily’s good vs evil introspection we see where her rebellious, opinionated, expressiveness comes from that is written within her poetic works of art.

I’m looking forward to season 3.

Superman & Lois (2021)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago*.

I enjoyed this adaptation. Similar to it’s 2001-2011 predecessor, Smallville, which focused dealing with Clark’s youth years and coping with day to day family life, this adaptation deals with Clark Kent/Superman’s life as husband, father, and teacher/mentor. It is a welcome change to the old standard superman universe story. Instead of a 1 sided tale, we get to see the two sides of the struggle, in which he has to balance family, and, his hero status. Looking forward to season 2.

The Dukes of Hazzard (1979)
moongoddess 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Best dang car chasing action-dramedy(drama+comedy) ever. And 1 of my top all time favorite programs. This show is a fantastic work of comedic fiction, and reality, as it featured real country music stars, and, Nascar race drivers, every so often.
The slapstick comical humor, and, comedic delivery from The Dukes, Boss Hogg, Roscoe, Enos, and, the rest of the Deputies on the Hazzard force during the shows 7 year run remind me of Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, and even The 3 Stooges. This program is a family oriented show, no curse words, no foul language, and good ol’ wholesome family/social values. YEEEEEHAWWWWWWWW!

Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots (2013) S8 E17
moongoddess 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Was great to watch this reunion, Part 1. Though the 1 actor I was hoping would be attending, did not attend. Maybe John Schneider will be there for Part 2? If not would be great if they could video-conference with him on screen. He’s probably busy with his own film making at his own Studios, which is why he was unable to attend the reunion panel. Wonder if any of these actors will be working with John on any of his film projects in the future?

Goodbye Good Witch, Grey House, and Merriwick’s. This TV series has been a magical 7 years. Actually, it’s been a full 13 years when including the 7 Good Witch Movies which began in 2008. I wish all the actors and actresses all the best on their next adventure’s and journey’s.
