Honest Thief (2020)
booger 4 points 3 years ago.

Another good Liam Neeson movie. Is it the best one? nope,on par with his character in Next of Kin? not even close. Equal to his brief showing on Krull? Well…….gee whiz, what do you want from this guy? It’s a low budget thing and he, along with everybody else, delivered an outstanding performance based on the constraints.
You want a Super Mega Blockbuster? Well then, all you gotta do is invent a time machine and travel to your desired time frame.
Barring that, just sit back and enjoy good actors doing the best they can to entertain us in difficult curcumstances.

The Craft (1996)
booger 2 points 3 years ago.

Great movie! Decent amount of action with plenty of thrilling drama.

While some ‘christens’ were and still are triggered by this movie, the overiding message this movie deals with is personal acountability and responsibility for ones actions and behavior.
As for realism goes, I personally have witnessed basically this exact behavior sans magical powers.

Paradise Z (2020)
booger 2 points 3 years ago.

An almost decent movie this is. However, a lack of money/vision/coherency got in its way.
For some reason this movie had an almost realistic view towards post-apocalyptic life and then it abandoned it for barely fleshed out plot line deravations, brief nudity and b-roll.
Action does not start till more than halfway through and if there was actual horror in it, I musta sneezed.

Fear the Walking Dead (2015)
booger 4 points 3 years ago.

6th season and still a good watch.
Ever wonder why some tv shows keep going on and on and others end way too soon? …money.
Just like the O.G. TWD this show (imho) is suffering from too much…..detail.
Some folks like the added drama and some do not, it is a matter of personal preference in my opinion.
Too much? skip ahead, not enough? rewind or wait for next season you might just get what you wished for.

The Craft: Legacy (2020)
booger 1 points 3 years ago.

Pretty good sequel to the first. Not great, but a fair bit better than average.
Although it falls short in the originality department (like all sequels) it is still an enjoyable ride.
Still want more info? okay…….I’ll try to do it without spoilers.

Like the first movie, this has a lot to do with the abuse of power and how everyone is susceptible to it, No matter what side of an issue you might currently reside upon. Humans = flawed beings, whoda guessed?
Good acting and a definitive contrast between good guy/bad guy helps to mitigate a lot of low budget, poor storytelling and editing issues some people might have.

Night of the Creeps (1986)
booger 2 points 3 years ago.

I loved this movie as a kid and I still love it today!
Good acting and inovative storytelling makes for a novel approach to the Zombie horror genre.
I wish that that folks still had the imagination and the will to break out of the humdrum, same ‘ol same ‘ol type of film making and try something like this.
But, alas, everybody is too busy placating the whiners and the whingers to make something new.

Kathy Smith: Weight Loss Workout (1990)

I do not believe that this is appropriate material for this site since it is neither movie or television show.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
booger 2 points 3 years ago.

Like the last few seasons of TWD, this series focuses more on character development than anything else and unless you are a fan of getting to know each and every characters back story down to the most minute of details, I suggest giving this a pass.
Out of 10 stars I give this a 9.75 to drama and a .25 for action/comedy/reality etc.

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E3
booger 3 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

What the actual Fudgecicle? Not disappointed or anything, just not used to U.S. shows skipping a chance to slowly plod on about nothing much for an ep. or half and then get to the meat.
The ghost story of this ep. could have used a little more detail/setup but is still good.
Soundtrack is Awesome as ever.

The New Mutants (2020)
booger 5 points 3 years ago.

I heavily identified with these characters while reading the comic, not that I have special powers or anything.
As a man of 50 years (or so) I can clearly see that this comic book was made specifically for teens, with all the trials and tribulations therein.
That does not impact my enjoyment of this movie, on the contrary, it has enhanced it, by reminding of just how far I have come (as far as personal growth), and humbled me, by reminding me how far I have yet to travel.
Looking forward to the HD version.

Tenet (2020)
booger 3 points 3 years ago.

good copy
great premise
Will save my real review for HD quality but for now 3/5.

The War with Grandpa (2020)
booger 3 points 3 years ago.

While this is not the best comedy (imo) that De Niro has ever done, it is quite good.
Comedy/Family/Drama are this films genres and it does not skimp on any.

I really love how some people think that a movie that they do not like is some desperate thing that an actor (actress) has to do for some needy reason/attention grabbing thing and not about them wanting to help out or merely doing it for the love of their craft.

Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)

Dude! I was super stoked when I first heard about this movie!
Great movie! If you enjoyed either of the first two then you will love this.

yes, I kinda over did it there a bit, but I wanted to convey that the word ‘action’ means more than just fighting/chasing and blowing things up.

The Deep (1977)

A real favorite of mine growing up with truly stunning visuals!

Etheria (2020)
booger 1 points 3 years ago.

A series of low budget shorts that unfortunately last just long enough to be boring.
Ok, there might have been one I thought was good and 1 or 2 that were almost good enough to be decent and all of them did have interesting scenarios but most just failed to deliver much.

Score (1974)
[deleted]
booger 1 points 3 years ago.

The Blu-Ray release of this film by Cult Epics restores all the hardcore scenes previously unavailable and only available in a VHS version.
A version with hardcore gay scenes was made as well.
The original VHS release cut out almost all instances of male frontal nudity (while keeping male rear-views and all female nudity intact). The current DVD version is also missing 30 minutes of hardcore footage that was shown in the theatrical version

The Bible was written thousands of years before the the Quran. It doesn’t mention it.

Islam, Women and Me (2018)
nikkimckelvy 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Just the fact that there’s a Muslim woman saying, “Hell yeah,” made this show interesting. Autism is passed on via the men. If two of her children have autism, it’s from the father not from her. Especially for. its time, the Quran gives amazing rights to women, but preexisting cultural norms take most of those rights away. A muslim man has the right to beat his wife, but a muslim woman also has the right to beat her husband. She has the right to an equal education, but most muslim countries won’t let a woman express her opinion in any way (nothing written, verbal, or any form of communication) without her male protector’s permission. A muslim woman has the right to vote if she owns land, but she does not have the right to keep her vote secret, and she must vote the way her male protector tells her to vote. She has the right to own land, but she must relinquish all her property when she marries, and she does not have the right to remain single. The second part of my last three sentences are all cultural conditions existing before the Quran.
I’m not muslim. I’m a Christian, but I’ve got a degree in comparative religions, and I love studying all of this. I’ve studied Islam, and I reject it. Jesus Christ is God, but I believe in respecting religions.

what else does the bible say about islam?

Love her approach to using everyday ingredients and not a bunch of fancy over-priced stuff that is ‘trending” or whatever.

Watching De Niro movies is similar to listening to Iron Maiden songs in that it is real hard to find a bad one.

The Fan (1996)
booger 1 points 3 years ago.

This is not typical of the roles that I was used to seeing him play and that is why I love this movie.
This movie (to me at least) is both disturbing and engrossing.

While I do not approve of anyone doing the things he does in this movie I can empathize.

While Technically it was any ones game going INTO the final round, the only thing in contention was 2nd place after selection.
I mean, WTF (whatthefudgecicle) were they thinking? Did either of them think they had a chance at 1st? I do not believe so, and that is why they lost.
Attitude counts for a lot in competition. Not that skills don’t matter as much.
Heck, they all had the skills, or else they would not have been there to begin with.
When the 2 lowest scorers chose the easiest blade which had the fewest bonus points and the highest scorer chose the hardest to make blade it was a foregone conclusion as to the winner IMO.

wrong episode here on all links

booger 3 points 3 years ago.

Not every link is wrong (I had the same problem) try looking for eps with Summer Forging Games in the title, like version 31, and you will find the actual vid your looking for.
Also, try reporting each individual link you found in error as ‘wrong video’ since comments are not monitored for that kinda thing.

Lovecraft Country (2020) S1 E1
booger 2 points 3 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

A pamphlet written by Thomas Paine titled “Common Sense” inspired many british subjects to reject the monarchy and seek self rule.
What does this have to do with this show? Not that much really.
So why bring it up? Well …….because common sense is something that Everybody has (or most anyways) yet not everyone uses.
Take the 1st episode in this series for example. Some might think this might be some “Hollywood Conspiracy” to control our thoughts and feelings and confuse people as to the Reality of the circumstances faced by non-white AMERICANS during the time this is set in.
Unfortunately it is more ‘par for the course’ than hyperbole.
So, Can Hollywood control peoples minds? Only if they let them, it takes a conscious effort to agree/disagree with another persons perception.
Am I some kinda of guru/sage/senpai? nope, just a https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PsnxDQvQpw

Growing Belushi (2020)
booger 7 points 3 years ago.

I agree with everything Danz0 said in the discussion section.
Briefly, it’s scripted, so it’s no different than most “realty shows”.
Think of it as a hybrid of reality and sitcom and you’ll easily get it.

P.S. Yes I know this is little more than a “Documercial” aimed towards promoting Jims brand, it is still quite entertaining.

Love starting my day off with a laugh, Thanks Dave, Uploaders.
Jokes are not meant to be taken seriously, hence the reason they are called jokes.
If you are easily offended and do not understand the true nature of comedy then look elsewhere.

Tiny Creatures (2020)
booger 2 points 3 years ago.

I have always loved nature shows and was keen to see what this one was all about.
About halfway through the first episode I was a bit disappointed until I read up on it (there is a link near the bottom of its wiki page for a review) and discovered that it is meant to be scripted and they make no bones about it.
Apparently each ep. is supposed to come off as a mini action/ adventure movie complete with a plot and full cast, FX etc.
Not bad overall, think kids might like it more than I did but I’ll keep watching and see if it grows on me.

A decent zombie flick, not quite good enough to be mediocre, but still watchable.
Obviously a low budget film, although it does not have the feel of one, it suffers only from backward leaps in logic, continuity errors, a need of more action and the over used hollywood trope of last minute rescue.

Enjoyable and unoffensive, this silly movie is suitable for the whole family with few (if any) cuss words and no nudity.
