O.K. NOW I’m gonna have to watch it…Watched the 1st season, and it was right good, but never got around to the 2nd one. Been a bit busy, and have really cut back on a lot of my watching, have schedualed a lot of shows, but don’t really keep up on most of them. Now I’m going to have to try and scope this one out….

You’re right about this season seeming fast, and yeah, if we do get another season we’re prolly in for a good wait. I was really satisfied by this, but I don’t know how popular it was overall.
Off the subject, but I see La Brea is about to start up again soon. Wonder if some questions will begin being answered on that one?

I really enjoyed this one and would have never known about but you guys commented about 2.5 weeks ago. I can’t wait for season 2. It had an amazing soundtrack. All the actors killed it. I’m not a fan of stranger things so I won’t draw any comparisons.

Enjoyed this one thoroughly. Hopefully we’ll see a second season.

This isn’t as bad as I made it seem previously. If they toned everything down by half, I could see it working. Unfortunately we’ll never know.

I watched the whole thing at this point. I was not real impressed with the first episode, but gave it a chance, and really liked the second, but was right hooked by the third. there was one episode, won’t say which one, where the guy, Reese, pulled off some real Mac Bolan shyte, and I was real impressed with the way he did it.

Whole thing was really well done, and thinking that Pratt did an excellent job with this. Hoping that with the way they left it, they decide to bring the guy (Reese) back for another season, get him into some more trouble, but keep the writing as good as they did with the first season. If they can do that they will have something worth following.

Yeah one of those dodgy “entertainment” websites in India alleges that, “Netflix Channel announced premiere date of Black Summer season 3. New episodes will be back on June 15th, 2023,” and a bunch of other dodgy “entertainment” websites have copypasta’d. But if you scroll way way down on the page it says, “No official announcement has happened yet,” and that’s just their guess. The moral of the story is everyone with an internet connection and a blog is a journalist now.

Will there be a season 3?

Some good news! A third season of the series was informally green-lit by January 2020 to allow it to be filmed back-to-back with the second season. It will start in 2023 and the 3rd season will be the final season.

For once, I would like the choice to be something other than what we always know is coming.

Enjoying this so far. Great cast. Looking forward to new episodes.

Its tense and stressful to watch but I’m pretty much laughing the entire episode.

Go woke, go broke sums it up. I’m very open to new shows but this one doesn’t have a lot of potential.

Very low budget for a pilot. I will still give it a chance since it was just one episode.

I had just read an article a week before this episode about Wil Wheaton’s reaction to not being cast in season 3. I really felt like I should have seen that coming.

It really is because they had previously cancelled it!

I like crazy girls like Leah. I am enjoying this season so much more than the first.

Caity Lotz has really come into her own. Sara Lance was the standout for this episode.

These first 2 episodes were underwhelming but the preview for the next episode looks promising.

Perhaps now a days 2 seasons is an acceptable run, but going off its roots if that’s all we get it’d be a shame so hopefully there’s more. I loved the original and watched new shows weekly then on syndication for years. This has potential to be really good as well. I mean the kid playing Will is obviously no Will Smith comparison of the same age comedic acting wise but he is a talented young actor for sure. I like the show so far, I just hope we get more “swagger and nods to the original show”.

That being said this unfortunately doesn’t have the legs original does. Straight drama without comedy, it won’t last long.

Way better episode. Action scenes are on point.

Morena Baccarin is a class act. Everything she is in is elevated. I find it hard to believe she would take this role. It more than likely will be cancelled. It was not compelling in any way. The lead FBI agent is beyond tiresome.

Offcourse i did. I made this comment because 3 episodes into the second season and it seems they’re already deviating from the premise they set towards the end of the first season.
Perhaps i’m just impatient at this point.

I agree about the caricatures. I’m only one episode in, but I’m disappointed. I was looking forward to this series, as I love true crime stories. But something about the dialogue seems so unnatural to me. When most of the characters speak, it’s so overly dramatic and long-winded. Julia Garner is generally a good actor, but her accent is really off here.

Officially renewed. We’ll at least get one more season now.

I guess we are suppose to watch all the way through the credits?
