THIS IS HILARIOUS

Saved this one for later - glad this came up in the feed, supposed to be excellent
Cannot wait for this! Wes Anderson takes on the space race, with pretty colors.

Really enjoying this French-Canadian Noir! Starts out slow, turning into a great binge for a snowy Saturday.
Nope. IMDB lists the credit wrong, but it’s correct in his bio as well as wiki, just “Swede”. As far as Pete Koch in Heartbreak Ridge, he’s credited as Private “Swede” Johanson, but he is first referenced in the movie as “The Swede” (though later chants of “Swede! Swede!” can be heard just before Clint kicks his ass.) Thanks for playing. Semper Fi
I went to his IMDb page, holy hell, he has more credits than Sean Bean, this man never stops working
Every time I think I can’t possibly be more blown away by this it proves me wrong.
This is destined to be every annual high school musical everywhere forever from here on out. I see what you did there.
Seriously this is top-notch. The book is fantastic, the cast is fantastic, the production values are all-out. Makes me want to leave work early today and do a 48-hour Lerner and Loewe bingefest.
Honestly, I could care less if they ever find bling. 100% nerd factor. There is no amount of money and technology the History Channel + Laginas will not throw at this island and how cool is that. I too dig in my backyard and when I do I always hope to find something wondrous. Long live citizen archaeology. I want to see every button, broken coin, axe head, and shiny object in the murky water that’s out there, and reconnect with the innocence of believing that even these days, anything can happen. I want to see every latest electronic gizmo and the hugest leviathans of industrial construction equipment bristling around every hole. I want to see maps and visualizations and sonar and Lidar. I want to watch Gary tell Jack where to dig crap up. I want to hear all the highly entertaining eccentrics tie this pile of rocks and trees into the Theory of Everything and the Answer to the Universe no matter how silly. That said, I am Team Marty all the way.
I would watch an entire movie with all these Lokis in it
If you watch D&M, please ask for links…hasn’t been updated in weeks. I’ve made a couple of requests and so far no uploads - tried to find them on other sites, hoping there are other uploaders that can get it. The shows are every Sunday night and every Thursday night on SHO.

No problem! I’m here all day!
(truly not sure if you are saying not to do this or, like, lol’ing with me or something) :-)
This is a fantastic mix of stunning photography mixed with cool information about the latest science and technology for mapping the mountains and valleys on the ocean floor and the currents that run from the tropics to Antarctica.
This plays against every expectation and every classic element of the western genre. Westerns are safe, formulaic, sentimental accounts of heroism. This central character is a woman and not a man, her narrative is lyrical, not sentimental, and the story is about naive and unprepared immigrants going west where nothing they have learned in life is useful or applicable and the things that keep going horribly wrong are brutal and oppressive and cannot be fixed by testosterone. Deadwood and Hell on Wheels are excellent series I love and have watched many times. You leave the old order for a chance to shake the snow globe and land in a better place in the new order. This show is about the chaos of the unknown. There is no order. It’s dark and brilliant.
Can I just say, this epi gave me the warm fuzzies? Reminds me of the days in OST when it was like Planet(Strange_Feature) + SciFi(Quirky_Plot_Thing) + engineering sarcasm + random dude + fisticuffs 6/5
This is similar to Fortitude and excellent! 5/5 It will be interesting to see how and whether the pandemic affects the story arc of season 2…
this movie was funny, I couldn’t stop watching it. I mean it’s bad, what do you expect, but it was oddly entertaining. The bad guy was the dude from the show Air Wolf, and Tony Curtis is so bad he’s good. Not a great movie, but worth a laugh. Plus it was cool to see a few shots of NYC in the 80’s. Since I work in the city it’s neat to see some its past.
I owe you an eternal debt for finding this - straight to cult classics! It’s even funnier than it was the first time around!
Loved it - more please! If you like this period while you are waiting there is a great short podcast called Stones & Bones about Emma of Normandy who had a far more complicated life than the window of time we see here. I was wondering about this version of Leif Erikson so I waded through articles on ScreenRant about this adaptation that answers some of the questions on this page.
I knew nothing about Maori culture before I saw this - very good below-the-radar series that gave me a glimpse into an entirely different world.
Being re-released in a newly remastered 40th anniversary cut sometime this fall!
This is an overlooked and underrated movie carried by a surprisingly great cast - Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Carice van Houten, well-written and acted and some nice unexpected twists. A good watch if you like medieval / good and evil / supernatural stories. 8/10
The swamp setting for the village seems like a fantasy setting but inot a complete fabrication - King Alfred and his court were forced to go into hiding in the marshes of Somerset until they could rebuild forces and face the Vikings and Danes of the ‘Great Heathen Army’ at the Battle of Edington. Check out The Last Kingdom series :)
Wasn’t expecting this show to bring this much emotion. I didn’t even make it 10 minutes into this episode. I’ll have to try again later. I wasn’t prepared for the uncontrollable bawling today. So realistic for dog owners.
reminds me of when they confirmed the higgsboson but there was a moment when we thought there might have to be a new physics and we were all holding our breath, but then they confirmed the higgs boson.. i guess they figured something about dark gravity or something afterwards.
I remember when they were doing Higgs Boson at CERN, there were people that were saying that there was a possibility that it could generate a black hole but ‘nothing to worry about, it would be very small’ 😆 There was a great podcast this summer on Radiolab where they discussed whether the Tunguska event was a small black hole that hit the Earth, first I had heard of that. (Search for “Little Black Holes Everywhere”)
I can’t help but laugh with Bruce Campbell as Reagan after watching “burn notice”. Love, Fargo.
Bruce Campbell is criminally underused. Probably by choice, he’s sitting on some decent bank from all the residuals. In my mind I will always see him in my mind somewhere warm and very expensive, nursing an umbrella drink.
I did a little research on it was due to budget cuts since at the time of the show, BBC Three changed from a live broadcast channel to an online-only channel for a little while until eventually they changed back to a live broadcast channel.
The writer of the show started a gofundme last year to try and get a third season or a special episode released. I don’t have much hope for that, but worse shows have been revived.
Season 2 is terrible compared to the first. Poor writing.
Despite the fact your statement is absolutely true, still did the rewatch, to enjoy David Tennant swanning and flouncing around. These two absolutely ooze chemistry for each other. Currently watching Staging and they’re just as funny out of costume
Sure looks like there will be a season 3
