I’m convinced somehow primewire knows witch languages I speak and only puts the subtitles on shows like this that I don’t need them for and looks through my watch list to make sure thers is never any subtitles on shows I want to see just to spite me ?

i was asking myself the same thing and looked it up .It is indeed the direct inspiration and has the Actor Sharito Copley in both.(scary thing is the news footage of locals talking about aliens is in fact actual footage of Soweto residence talking about Zimbabwean and Nigerian migrants) .The films are obvious allegory of apartheid and modern immigration racism

A dark comedic satire about a family whose wealth was built on religious conservatism in the USA. The family dynamic is clever if cliche. Nonetheless, it does engage with an awkward comedic style and a talented cast. Hypocrisy and greed juxtaposed with almost humourous violence reminiscent of Fargo make up the keel of this show. Certainly worth watching if not converting.

I totally forgot about the SHIELD !I’ll admit The Shield Is pretty close and in the same vain as “Engrenages”(spiral in English ) and the Shield is well written with layered plots and good character development ….its actually pretty good smart TV but those other shows on Commercial networks (anything NBC,CBS,ABC is just made to distract illiterate slack jawed drooling retards long enough to get them to sit through 15 minutes of fast food commercials, medical drug commercials (illegal here in Canada) and ads for Lincoln continentals ) and an insult to anyone’s intelligence and I’m not interested . She was so good in the Sopranos and Nurse Jackie that I thought this would be a sure winner. Unfortunately the Writers/Producers have seen fit to inject every stereotype of 1% of the people of LA. and turned what could have been a winner into a mush-mash of political correctness on steroids. It is only the Pilot at this point so I will watch it again but with lowered expectations. So far, 5/10. Edit 4/10 the PC police have ruined what could have been a good show…
