I wonder if those reviews you mentioned got access to more than just the pilot episode. normally profesional reviewers get the first 3 or 4 episodes and sometimes as much as half the season to make a full judgement.

Lmaooo, no real fans of the show in this comment section, just a bunch of randoms complaining about an episode they “didn’t know about”… even though the whole segment of “Another One Bites the Dust” was used as a teaser for this episode during DC Fandome in September. The real fanbase knew it was coming and complained about it back then. Anyone who does it now in these comments is 8 months too late.
Someone even actually called it “unexpected” 😂😂 It was very expected since it was announced last year, and considering the fact that Tom Ellis sings or plays piano multiple times per season.
Stupidest thing is that people are treating it like the entire 60 minutes were done to music. 8 songs, that’s 24 minutes at the most, since not all the songs were done in their entirety.

you may wanna check that again, i read today that he said during that interview that he was working on 6 but wasn’y sure what he was allowed today about it. what you said about him commenting on the state of the world and people not having the stomach for the typical episode was right, he then followed that up by saying that he was trying to lean more into humor this time, I guess like the one where the Furry was voted PM, or the episode about the “likes”. anyway, thought that might be a little good news and something to look forward to.

I thought it was laughable, the co-pilot with a bullet in his hand gets a passenger to help him take off. She has only flown helicopters but she shows absolutely no emotion like she’s on a video console, hey no problem………. then they land at an air force base coming in too fast but no problem they come to a stop a foot from a hanger?? the hangar is at the end of the runway?
The acting was terrible, I thought it was a comedy for awhile.
I will watch episode 2 just to see how ridiculous it is

This is great and done by Blume house. Masters of horror. It is a horror anthology series with each month a new episode focusing on that months holliday if possible. Some episodes are better than others but overall a great series I look forward to. Oh, and each episode is about 2 hours long, they are actually movies.

this is true, sadly I’ve noticed a very vocal minority who seems to search out these specific pages. I expect it will die down (slowly) until another 3 years has passed. and I’m all for the social discussions some films/Tv show cause. ex. Cuties. And I’ve enjoyed reading most of back and forth on some of the pages that have had their comments disabled. Which is what brought me to this one in the first place. But this regurgitated, talking head,-“Hey look at me”, not-so-subtle attempt at a flex is many things, pointless being the main one. watch this movie right now. One of my all time favorite movies. You will never know the ending and may even cry. The Casting was perfect and really turned me on to both the leads, they have never disappointed. Don’t dismiss this as a Rocky clone, it’s more than the hook. My wife loved it to.

Seems like the word your looking for is “ignorant”, since that’s how you actually sound. If you did just a little bit of research you would see that The Warrioris based on a treatment that Lee prepareed in the early 70’s, He even spoke about it in an interview he gave 71’. And involves the Tong/gang wars that did take place during this time. I’m not sure what “Liberal Holyweird” stuff you even speak of as this mostly displays women as having very little influence compared to their male counterparts. And I can only think of one couple that lives what may be described as an alternate lifestyle, which would be far below the average, especially in San Fran, lol. Btw, it’s largely been speculated that the popular show Kung-Fu was actually based off the treatment that Lee had shopped around at the time. With the lead actor being replaced with a white dude, instead of it being Lee as intended, which is main reason given that it wasn’t made at the time.
Monsterland (2020)
It takes alot for me to write a negative review on somthing and this was that bad and more. I don’t know if my expectasions were just to high for it but I understand that the showrunner was trying to portray humans as the monsters and the real threat, in the same way as the walking dead set out to do. It seemed that it was trying way to hard with some aspects of the story being so forced upon you as to not even make sense. After the first episode I was exited and ready to dig in and get my binge on but that turnrd out to be a red herring. Since this is an anthology and the order dosn’t matter all that much, I would recommend watching episode 3 or 4 first to see what you have in store for yourself and if its worty of your time. I did manage to sit through all of it, only cause of a lack of other programs to watch and because I was playing Xbox at the same time

Wow no comments, guess everybody’s thumbs are all blowed out over the Batwoman pilot. This show was great from start to finish. If your burnt out on shows featuring supes give this one a try. It doesn’t suffer the same fate as other Netflix Super Hero shows have, like trying to fill out 13 episode seasons and being about 50 percent fluff. Also it doesn’t follow the formula that all those Marvel shows seemed to copy. It has 9 episodes and uses each one to tell the story, no more than need and no less. After so many years of movie and Tv viewing it harder to keep me on my toes and surprised then it used to and this show managed to do that. This being a busy time of the year for Tv premieres do yourself a favor and put this on your Favorites or watched list so you can catch it later.

I gave up on this series when I first started, but had to come back to it because it was way to intriguing. I am glad I did because once it all comes together Its totally worth it. Second season cant come soon enough.
It definitely is a slow burn. i found it to be about 1/3 mystery, 1/3 scifi and 1/3 character study and personally the slow character driven story almost always fails to keep my interest. I think watching with subtitles really helped to pull me in (i’m not usually a fan of subs either)and i’m so glad it did. The pay-off will make your brain hurt, in a good way I wholeheartedly agree with you on the finale, Not since Lost have I been excited for the end ,then as soon as its over, frustrated by the wait until the start of the next

while I get ur point, when a shows good we all want more, but imagine if it was like a procedural. NCIS for example, 22 eps.with 15 fillers. most shows have adopted these shorter seasons cause it allows the showrunners to focus on a set story and tell that story well.When shows first started shrinking I felt the same as you then once i realized why I could look back and see how much more focused and tight the narratives have become. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Tv has become as good as it is at the same time as the episode order has shrunk. But you know, I want more too,lol. You would think with the shorter seasons that they could turn out two seasons in a year with a 3 month gap in between, that would be ideal.

well to be honest by the end of the 2nd ep it became background viewing, i know nothing about the series but even by 50/60’s sitcoms standard it was pretty poor. so is there going to be an ep every decade until something happens or comes too light. feels a bit like lazy writing to me, and could have probably been explained in a single ep instead of maybe 1/2 the season.

That’s the way I’ve understood it after reading what the showrunner and actors have said about the series. I didn’t watch but know their is some type of call-back to “Full House”. So if there is a different decade covered each episode then there is still a ways to go till it reaches that and the 90’s. If it levels out into more of a Superhero show I will probably binge it but what if’s and dream sequences always feel like lazy writing and time fillers and I have never been a fan of either.
