Binge watched. I’m hooked. A fun watch!

If she was —allegedly—only worried about the $50k for the private school, why give him $500k ?
I don’t understand why the husband isn’t getting more attention either.
Fascinating, absorbing, gut-wrenching. And the sobering potential effects of the ‘authoritarian’ parent also….
But I had a shocking reaction to
Natasha Josefowitz, the research assistant to Dr Newsome and his conscienceless study, the woman who lived in La Jolla and was quite full of herself with her friendship with the Obamas and so forth. What an empathy-less, remorseless human being.
The amused expression she had as she commented indifferently on the effects of the study she took part in.
I felt like slapping that smirk off her self-absorbed face, albeit that she is a nonagenarian.
Worth a watch ..interesting take on demon hunters..subtitles are done pretty well; a few continuity issues but nothing too awful so far.
The actors are steeped in the asian tradition of drama and spiritualism as an art form and do it well.
The blonde attorney friend of Grace…she does seem to be totally down on his guilt.
And with the casting about for other suspects and the kid revealing he saw his dad with her, I felt the plot twist coming on…but had a hard time believing it.
Excellent show that portrays the evident shortsightedness and bigoted attitude in America today. I hope it gets renewed! Edie Falco is excellent in the portrayal of this character. Kudos to her for doing it!
I wholeheartedly agree with Cece1954. Edie Falco does a fantastic job; her character is well written and thought out as to how her accomplished position impacts her personal life and how patriarchal politics are such a septic tangle for women.
One wonders what transformation might occur should women become dominant in positions of power in the police force and how that would impact the brutal reputation that unfortunately dogs law enforcement today.
Ridiculous.Perverted. Totally self-obsessed. Hard to see the funny of it, really.
The 80-minute comedy presentation version was far more compelling.
LATER:
after Episode 6 :
Ok..that assessment was too precipitous.
The drama was expected, even predictable, but not the way it kicked in.
LATER STILL:
BRILLIANT.
Man, that “look” in her eyes just before the episode ended, gave me the chills. She was phenomenal in this series.
An excellent watch…we get to see Red in action: thrills chills surprises and gore. Starts out a very civilized business meeting vibe and then goes sideways—Good one!
FACIAL RECOGNITION. Important show on developments in technology and usage.
It’s been so long I barely remember the plot; guess I’ll re-binge.
later—lost interest yawn.
Surprisingly interesting. Pretty good acting too. Caught my attention.Think I’ll stay with this a bit.
A reality sandwich for those who can respect it.
Critics live in the caviar buffet-cocktail zone, succored, wined, and dined by backstage promoters; they barely have a toe in the everyday world of heroes and pain.
Gotta confess I’m liking this. Steve Carell is more talented than I gave him credit for. Love the unveiled references to the idiot in the White House…lol
Well that was a big, fat bunch of pointless, plotless nonsense. The disgusting chewing and the screaming kid was just gross. This is up there with the stupidity of Killing of a Sacred Deer, and any other movie you can think of that doesn’t care to draw in the viewer with an actual plausible storyline (even if it’s fantasy, it still has to make sense).
McConnelly writes so poignantly of a man who experienced and continues to experience a profoundly traumatic life…yet still has integrity and deep compassion for humanity.
“The ‘fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars, but in ourselves…”
So it is for each of us.
clearly you are a trump guy .. well I guess you know im not american. heres the thing .. why do you still regard him as honest and sane when even FOREIGNERS regard him as a dangerous criminal? in Oz, it recently came to light hes been ringing our prime minister to quash the muller investigation
as if australia can stop US police from doing their job!
at some point tho, even you trump religious fanatics must ask .. why does the ENTIRE PLANET think you are idiots? ppl who usually dont give 2 fucks about US politics?
Thank you for your candor. I totally agree. And, though it may appear otherwise, MOST of us agree :)) Trump is desperately calling on these countries because he labors under the illusion that a) they like him (NOT) or b) he can leverage his office as president to enlist their aid in this impeachment scandal, so clearly he has only a passing familiarity with the Constitution
meaning he passed a copy of it hanging in a hall somewhere…
NOBODY likes a bully except other bullies.
Reese Witherspoon can play a real be-yatch convincingly. OMG.
Her tele-husband clearly sees it. Vicious.
Whew! High praise indeed. So the acting stinks, the show isn’t well written, production values are low and the action scenes are lousy but if you have nothing to watch while folding clothes THIS IS THE SHOW FOR YOU!
Don’t ever get a job as a suicide prevention counselor. ;)
Thank you so much for this amazingly revealing series. My own bizarre experiences hopefully will be explained.
SO WORTH IT! First time I have seen Mindy Kaling truly in her element, and it was impressive. I’ve never liked a thing I saw her in until now. She wrote her way into it.Impressive,
Dang, and in spite of my dismay, I noticed a continuity breach, on the beach.
This hooked me; the protagonist Dr Jacob Hood is an appealingly human scientist focusing on solving bizarre events.
Interesting note: Episode #15 “Electro” addresses viruses. Sobering statement about viruses: “Viruses naturally keep mutating. That’s why a vaccine developed today will be useless in a year.” I regret that I heard that.
OMG funniest episode yet…sex, football, edgy, deeper than expected.
I was hohum about this. it proved to be surprisingly, thoughtfully, binge-worthy. Great collection of one-liners that made me laugh out loud.
True, this ‘designated survivor’ plan has been in place for decades, but we cannot ignore that it completely circumvents the Constitution and gives any charismatic dingbat who manages to attain the presidency —like the two examples we saw put forth here—the ability to destroy our entire system of govt simply by targeting elected officials, not necessarily the entire population.
Most links fuzzy- poor quality resolution. Clipwatching continues not to load.
Description doesn’t always jive with show, like this one, But still an interesting blast from the past. :)
To portray a city so corrupt and rife with sleazy, slimy private citizens who have too much power over it one can only believe that it’s art that imitates life.
Not the other way around. This episode sends so many bad messages.
What a horrible way to cancel a series. I hope the final episode proves me wrong.
My guess…not the end. The reporter will blow the scam wide open.
One look behind the curtain in DC or at your own city council tells you that— from the top down and coast to coast—This is simply a reality sandwich episode.
Wonder if they are under contract and are forced to do these bad, bad movies..
