A Wilderness of Error (2020)
Rodjenka 7 points 3 years ago.

Interesting case & litigated extensively. Probably best known from the TV version Fatal Vision with Gary Cole & the great Karl Malden. McDonalds lawyer (ep1 @ 32:17 ) scores a 9.5 on the “Better call Saul” scale.

The Wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)
Rodjenka 7 points 3 years ago.

This was very well done & quite entertaining. Strange mix of horror, comedy & drama sprinkled with cartoonish characters.

Finding Noah (2015)
Rodjenka 10 points 3 years ago.

Speaking of science, I’ve been tossing pairs of Kangeroos into the Ocean since 94’ to prove that Australian mammals could have swum to Noah’s location.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Rodjenka 5 points 3 years ago*.

This whole TWD: the Wonder years really isn’t working for me. This is more Disney than f’ing Bambi.
While they’re writing in their diaries & spouting deep emo facts about the greatest force in nature, Judith is like WTH! Kill that walker!

Helstrom (2020)
Rodjenka 7 points 3 years ago.

This really isn’t that bad as far as these kinds of shows go. Especially the supporting roles were well cast.

Btw there’s a real easy way to tell if you’re possessed or not. You’re not & you’re welcome.

4400 (2021)
Rodjenka 6 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Really liked the original and what a shame that story just kinda stopped after Se04. This isnt off to a great start, the acting is a masterclass in overacting & It doest look like there’s a whole lot of budget behind this even though now seems to be a perfect time for a more techy reboot.

The Many Saints of Newark (2021)

As if one needed more reasons not to like Junior.

White Wall (2020)
Mr.P 2 points 3 years ago.

Subs would be nice. my swedisch is not that good. :-)

Rodjenka 4 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I like that the English spoken parts have Swedish subs lol.

Las Vampiras (1971)
Rodjenka 4 points 3 years ago.

One of the better ones from Jesus Franco’s vast body of work. With the gorgeous Soledad Miranda but where this one really shines is the soundtrack. For years it was a rare find for (record) collectors, but became more widely available some 30 years later on that ancient tech called cd’s. & it’s pretty good party music.

Kick the Cock (2008)
Rodjenka 4 points 3 years ago.

As someone who’s Dutch, owns a kitchen, has peeked into kitchens & has been kicked in the c**k several times, I regret to inform you that there’s no such Dutch saying.
Good news is this is a Tinto Brass movie & you could care less.

Android Uprising (2020)
Rodjenka 4 points 3 years ago.

As awesome as that synopsis sounds, I’d urge everyone to watch the trailer first or all the sacrifices you made will have lead you to waste 90 minutes.

Don't Look Back (2020)
Rodjenka 5 points 3 years ago.

Don’t look.

Love Fraud (2020)
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago.

Well done & interesting revenge story. He’s got 99 problems & women are all of them.

Tremors: Shrieker Island (2020)
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago.

Entertaining & over the top as always.

The Belko Experiment (2017)
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago.

Lot of support actors you’ll recognize from all over the place battle it out in an extreme employee of the month competition. Better than expected.

The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago.

You might think that as a Star Wars fan & one that never heared of this “special” that you should definitely watch it. You would be wrong. Maybe wait until the holidays? No.
This will ruin Star Wars & X-mas for you. This was buried in a galaxy far away & for the longest time only available on bootlegs & now its here. Highlight are rare & that’s probably why Carrie Fisher appears drunk the entire time. The absolute highlight is Jefferson Starship giving a one-take performance with glowing Dildo mics (yes, that happened)

The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020) S1 E6
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago.

They’re adding more cheese by the week damnit.

American Gods (2017)
Dexter (2006)
Rodjenka 3 points 3 years ago*.

Damn, now that I know it’s coming back I kinda feel like I have to rewatch everything.

An Honest Liar (2014)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

Great documentary & story, but also one that doesn’t leave you very hopeful that we as a society will learn our lesson anytime soon.

Rogue City (2020)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Pretty brutal French (yes, subtitles ) gangster film. If you like happy endings & a clear line between the good & the bad guys, this is not for you. In this world you’re either corrupt or slightly less corrupt.

Skylines (2020)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

By far the weakest installment of the series, where the first two had some budget, this has syfy written all over it.

The Speed of Time (Short 2020) (2020)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

You had me at delivering pizzas before they were even ordered.

Sole Survivor (1984)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

One of the better forgotten horror b-movies from the 80’s.
A suspenseful & slow paced creepfest that constantly has a feeling of impending doom, and the soundtrack does alot of the heavy lifting there. Its a remake from an Australian movie called “the survivor” (1981) which is also worth it for fans of these kinds of movies.

Later franchises like “final destination” borrowed heavily from this and it appears like M.Night Shayamalan also saw this & hoped noone would notice.

Heroes (2020)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

I like it, the storytelling and characters might differ from what you’re used to see. (and Yes, it’s subtitled I know). But the fight choreography outshines Daredevil and Whiny Fist combined. There’s alot of Crouching Tiger stuff going on and the photography is pretty good too.

Them (2021)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

Great opener, well acted & fantastically & at times brutally shot. Well developed storyline & not for faint of heart. The worst thing is probably the “Al Jolson” character that wil tempt alot of white boys to do blackface next Halloween…

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) S3 E5
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

A young Anthony Mackie guest starring in this one.

Beyond Oak Island (2020)
catuhlu 3 points 3 years ago.

No way .Im not watching this

Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

You should, they finally reveal the treasure they found was getting a tv-show & milking it for 8 seasons.

Fringe (2008) S2 E11
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

The guy who did the releases apparently missed the whole timeline thing. Charlie is somehow back alive in a support role in this episode which appears to be a season 1 episode aired in season 2, you know just in case it wasnt confusing enough already.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

This makes you appreciate what a horrible cheese fest the original release was & how a franchise largely depends on the vision of a director. Completely different movie & storytelling.

Britney Spears: Workin' It (2014)
Rodjenka 2 points 3 years ago.

You guys…. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE !

Army of Thieves (2021)
Rodjenka 1 points 2 years ago.

Probably the least exciting safe cracking movie ever made & to even mention zombies in a synopsis is misleading at best.

Monster Hunter (2020)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

Very dark cam version, worth waiting for a better copy.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) S3 E11
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

A young John Krasinski gets 20 seconds in this ep., about a year before he broke through in ´the Office´.

The Wilds (2020)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Not a whole lot to draw you in even though they spent alot of time on character development, it just doesnt connect. The feminist Bond villain plot is as ridiculous as the need for food on the Island.
The ending…well I hope its a cliffhanger to next season or else this was as disappointing as the ending to Lost.

The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters (2008)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Great story about a classic game & with a classic villain. Mirror mirror on the wall, Billy Mitchell is the douchiest of them all. Fast forward 10 years to 2018 & all of his records have been invalidated & he has been banned for life from submitting anything. Gives you abit of hope that sometimes in the end the good guys do win & save the princess.

Machete (2010)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

Not sure why I picked this to watch on election night….

Black Sun (1964)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

One of the stronger elements is the blistering Max Roach score (whose album lends the film its title)
Another highlight is Kurahara’s vision of Tokyo as an apocalyptic wasteland, a crumbling landscape of debris. However if the film does have a weakness it’s Chico Roland. Continuing in the tradition of terrible American performances in foreign productions, he’s usually pretty bad.
Although there are a few points where he pulls of a good moment, most of the time he’s either overdoing it or underdoing it. And his hysterical wheezing, whispering & weeping often makes his dialogue incomprehensible.

If you watched this you can’t miss “the warped ones”.

Sharks of the Corn (2021)
Rodjenka 1 points 2 years ago.

Just when I thought Jaws + Children of the Corn sounds awesome a little voice urged me to look for the trailer. This has a very low budget, very low…..psssst watch a trailer.

Der Bunker (2016)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

A pretty unique viewing experience in a world where we keep repackaging the same dribble over & over.
Absurdity & awkwardness galore, not to mention Klaus’ eating habits…ffs.
Not for everyone, but I enjoyed the ride.

Web of Darkness (2021)
Rodjenka 1 points 2 years ago.

This is pretty awful, low budget & I’ve had bathroom visits that were scarier. For some inexplicable reason they set this up as reconstructions from real crime shows, you know because they’re always high quality and terrifying…smh. They did get some awesome stuff from the CGI museum though, that Alien in ep01 was top notch….

The Grilling (1981)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

Lino Ventura is superb in this. Shot in an interrogation room so the whole movie is based on dialogue and even though the characters are abit 1-dimensional the performances bring it to life.
Remade in 2000 as “Under Suspicion” with Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman.

The Call (2020)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

The “story” is really a vehicle to show 4 bad trips & suffers from that. Visually creepy & thats about it, guess thats also all you need for Halloween.

The Playbook (2020)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

Let’s start with Doc Rivers cause the Clippers are about to…..right, never mind.

Cloudstreet (2011)

Mirage (2018)
Rodjenka 1 points 3 years ago.

Entertaining & interesting in how the story follows 2 timelines. Combining a murder mystery & a what if scenario in a way that keeps your interest as the film navigates through the various plots.
Adriana Ugarte does a marvelous job taking her character through a wide range of experiences & the ending may also suprise you.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) S2 E1
Rodjenka 0 points 3 years ago.

Guess there are only so many actors to go around, the perp. in this ep. was brought back as the Capt. a couple of years from now. And ofcourse Jim Gaffigan in a support role in this one.
