Dear God, I just watched season 7 episode 2 and all I have to say is that they’ve completely ruined the show. The snarky sarcasm has been replaced with overly exaggerated observational humor (which takes a lot effort to be successful). The subtlety is gone and now everything has been dumbed down and is constantly being explained as if we’re too stupid to get the humor any other way.
As for the characters, the new Mandy is horrible. While she wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, she was without a doubt a competent fashion designer. Now, they’ve reduced her to a ditzy bimbo that has no idea what she’s doing (just watch episode 2), making every single moment she’s on screen a cringe worthy experience. The chemistry between her and Kyle is non existent, which was one of the funniest and most endearing parts of the show.
Kyle was also changed (and I’m not talking about his haircut). Before, he was this sweet kid that wouldn’t hurt a fly and was always considerate of other people’s feelings, even if he had to make sacrifices on his part. That was a huge part of his charm. Now, it just seems like his naivety was changed to emotional ignorance, where he’s not afraid of saying no and doesn’t seem to realize he might offend anyone.
Kristen, this is more of a appearance change which I know some might take offence to, but it just needs to be said. She looks like an old cat lady. ‘Nuff said.
Eve is trying to hard to be macho. Harder than she used to and I’ve no idea why they’re pushing this narrative. It just makes me cringe every time.
Overall, the show has take a huge turn and so far, it doesn’t seem like it is for the better. I’m rating the first 2 episodes at 2/5. Below average. Let’s hope they pick up speed and they bring some of its old charm back or I might just stop watching it all together.

I haven’t watched this show yet, it is on my list of shows to see eventually (have too many on the go atm lol) but was just scrolling through and saw this show had new episodes added and i remember hearing it got cancelled awhile back due to people complaining it was too “politically RIGHT leaning” in its format” and due to Trump being elected, alot of shows were being cancelled if they had ANYTHING right leaning (Roseanne ring a bell?) Anyways, read your comment and i am completely NOT surprised at your observations..this is what they do to “smart” shows..they cancel them, then bring them back all dumbed down for the masses so “everyone” can enjoy it now. I assume Season 6 was the last season before it was cancelled awhile back and Season 7 is the “revival” season with “upgraded” characters? I HATE shows that feel they have to explain every single little joke like we are too dumb to get it..you know what i see that a lot on? KIDS shows, like Nikolodeon shit and YTV and other pre-teen stuff…the jokes are SO dumb on those shows, even for pre-teens, i don’t think they give enough credit to how intelligent they really are and it makes you wonder why they all seem so dumbed down nowadays..well, look at the “quality” of their entertainment they are given..ugh, makes me sick, it really does. Did they use Canned Laughter in the new seasons here? It was leaning politically right, but it was funny. The kids were also more left leaning and modern in their thinking which sparked debate. Every side made a valid point to their cases, funny shenanigans ensued as they tried to prove each other right. Their strong chemistry further made it an endearing experience that made you root for everyone as they eventually learned to somewhat compromise although Mike ended up proving himself right quite a few times. I don’t know about canned laughter, but it has always had the laugh track although I do think it’s gotten more annoying since Season 7.
Now… every character has become a stereotype of their main characteristic that is being dialed up to 11.
Personally, if you ever get to that point some day, I say check out 7 for yourself to determine whether it’s within your tolerance range.

I need to be honest about this show. I enjoy it. I like Nathan Fillion. What I struggle with is how often he and his rookie police officer buddies get into life-threatening situations, where they are shot at and discharge their weapons, and yet bounce back the next day. As someone who has had to disarm aggressive people and had loaded weapons pointed at me, I find this difficult to really wrap my brain around.

Still, they could have hired Matthew Lillard for Shaggy. Also, Scooby talks too much in this one and is too easily understood. The pop culture and real life jokes and references are boring, and not at all funny. The plot is far too stupid and predictable to be interesting. I could go on.
Then again… I hate everything past the 2000s when it comes to Scooby-Doo. Especially that disgusting abomination that dares to call itself a cartoon, called “Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!”. Did I say I was speaking of myself? No, but talking point here is younger, malleable people because this is a popular show for teens who very likely are not 100% sure what sexuality is. Their idea of sexuality is in fact influenced by what the see, correct?
This portrayal of “how the world is” in Hollywood (that misrepresents) will obviously mold into more of a reality. So to say it won’t or can’t have an impact is ignorant and to attack someone that is making a harmless and true observation is opposing what I’m assuming your trying to represent here.
No problem with any of it. I just think it’s over the top and misleading for young people.
What do you mean by “Their idea of sexuality is in fact influenced by what the see”? It’s a genuine question. While I agree with your point that writers are shoveling too much of their own politics down our throats for no good reason, I sure hope you’re not one of those people that believes sexuality is a choice.

They did, pretty sure they already had most of the 3rd season done already. would seem that Disney bought the rights out from under ‘flix for the Marvel stuff, and will be doing their own productions. Seems they are coming out with their own streaming site soon, have o idea if they will be bringing back any of these shows though.
Saw a few articles where they were saying ‘flix was really deep in debt, and struggling to stay solvent. Might be when Disney comes out with their new site,they put ‘flix out of business.
There is a contract stipulation stating that neither of the characters that the actors are playing in the Netflix/Marvel shows are allowed to appear on a non-Netflix based Marvel adaptation for the next 2 years.

The jokes are idiotic and the characters are over the top, trash caricatures of even more idiotic tropes that have been used and abused to death by much better shows, and most importantly, the internet. Everything they do isn’t stupidly funny, it’s just stupid (but turned up to 11).
Removing the “games developer” theme would change absolutely nothing about the show. It’s a generic, politically correct sitcom that simply has it tacked on to somehow seem “cool and original”. It fails at it harder than the Big Bang Theory failed at geekdom.

Just by reading this one comment I completely understand that you’re clueless about what you’re talking about. Germany does not have universal healthcare. At least not in the way you’re thinking. The German healthcare system is a hybrid model, combining statutory health insurance provided by the country (which only covers the basic visits to your GP) and private health insurance which can be bought like a monthly subscription. Getting sick in Germany is extremely expensive, although there are ways to mitigate a good portion of the costs. While my father was visiting me he had a mild anxiety attack. We called an ambulance. They looked at him for 5 minutes and charged us 300 euro.
The tuition, while affordable to EU students is not free. There are a lot of extra costs associated with studying in Germany that a lot of people don’t know about. I could get a PhD just writing about this one subject.
“A million refugees were accepted”? If by that you mean Merkel forced the country into accepting them, reconstructing usable building (like university stadiums and hospital wings) into shelters, handing out free jobs and money to them at the cost of increased taxes while said refugees rape and kill their countrymen (plenty of stories) as well as spend their days trying to radicalize the younger generation (again plenty of stories) then sure. I guess you could say they were “accepted”. Even though Germans (and even second or third generation muslims) are silently protesting Merkel’s actions and are at this very moment looking for ways to depose her.
If you’re planning on opening your mouth about certain subjects you have only a vague idea of, then I suggest you don’t. You’ll only look foolish.
Germany has problems you don’t seem to have an even basic grasp of. It maybe called the “Engine of Europe” but it is far from the utopian paradise you seem to think it is.

The CG they give her when she flies and does her power blasts. It’s very DragonBallZ and very conceptual. Like when normal people see a Saiyan go super they don’t notice anything but through the fourth wall we see an inferno.
These characters spend more time hugging each other and crying than they do their jobs as members of a galactic star fleet.
