WOW! I got the chance to see the pilot on actual TV and all I can say is this should be an awesome show! I like Ryan Phillippe(sp)in these type of shows, the rest of the cast seems pretty good, a few I know their faces and what they’ve been in but cant recall names. But as with all TV shows this year, time will tell if it makes it, Covid and lockdown was already brought up smh, but at least no mask wearing at this point, but the lil bit of action that was in this 1 hour epi was decent for TV, and I actually liked the writing, which lately has been hard to find. Crime, mystery, scandal, heartbreak, roadtrip and subterfuge all make for a good story IMO lol! Enjoy!

As much as I love the Yellowstone franchise, 1883 was awesome, but this new prequel 1923 is difficult to follow for me, its all over the place, bouncing from area to area and people to people, cant keep up with who is who and what they’re doing and how they fit into the family. The cast is great of course, but parts of the story are very disturbing and sad to watch, especially the mistreatment of the Indian girls by Nuns no less smh. Its hard to realize how bad they were treated in that day and time in the USA smh. Hopefully things will start to come clearer for me soon lol. I’m guessing there was a lot of research done to make sure the info is true and on point so as not to be misleading to those of us who weren’t there, but I would’ve had a difficult time going through that research finding all this info on the mistreatment of the people during that time smh. I surely hope the remainder of the series gets easier to watch.

I liked it! I actually got to watch it through my tv antenna, one of the only 6 channels I get. Its got good promise IMO. The characters seem likeable, the storyline is good, good cast, I only knew one actor from previous shows but the others I assume are newer actors because they’re younger but they were believable and not fake-y and it had action, drama, romance and some mystery in this episode. It comes on before Blue Bloods(my favorite show) here in Florida so its a night of great entertainment! Worth trying.

LOVE, LOVE, Love Edward Norton, I saw him this afternoon [FL, USA] on “Strahan,[somebody] & Katie” talk show talking up this movie and they showed a lil snippet which was so cute. Ed described the character he’s playing as a Humphrey Bogart time era with a mixture of Charlie Chan meets Rainman P.I. lol, and after the clip it made sense lol! Its gonna be well worth the watch, thanks uploaders!! He talked about how he didnt have what he needed to get the ball rolling totally and that Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin both offered to help him out.It was a sweet interview.

Totally Agree!! I said that on IG about SVU and the Chicagos, I watch tv to escape some of the day to day reality after being out in it. Even the “Reality” shows are partially scripted to a point sadly so you expect them to have the news of the day stuff, but we dont need to be reminded of the hell we lived, and are still living through when we sit down to relax.

Yes I agree! After watching the 1st epi I was like…”well that’s new”, after 2nd epi I’m like…”o..k, I know now why its not showing on regular TV and streaming only” smh! I can see a “damn” or “hell no” but when J.J. said the “f” word it freaked me out smh ugh! The 15 previous seasons barely had a “damn” in it, why start it now smh? These 2 epis were a lil “dark” in a scarier sense than the other seasons. It was good seeing the cast that came back though, doesn’t feel the same w/o Matthew Gray Gubler though. Guess time will tell what’s gonna happen.

She’s talking to us weirdly enough(shaking my head), its some new sort of thing they’re doing on tv the past 2 yrs and its aggravating as hell in my opinion, like they’re trying to keep us in touch with what’s going on in their head as the show is progressing. I don’t like it, its weird and like you said, confusing. At least this epi had a lil more meat to it, but not much. I’ll give it 1 more epi and then make my decision to ride or die. Those so called “wanna be jokes” have got to stop though because they aren’t funny. I laughed sortof one time when Blair told Morgan to “talk to your mum because she is mothering me and that’s not good”. OMG, this sucks having this mid season finale leaving off like this with all these “what ifs” hanging in the air and not even having a date for the 2nd half of the season to start back up ugh!! I saw some of this coming, but some I didn’t, not really sure how this is gonna play out, especially not knowing for sure if there’s gonna be a 6th or further seasons for sure, because that will definitely make a difference in the fallout, because it will take time to execute and then show the repercussions that will surely follow. I knew Beth was gonna do what she did and could be “planning” but didn’t figure on Jamie actually growing a “pair” and look for his “plan” to set in motion, or WHO he will actually set it on. Sheridan needs to give us some “meat” to chew on to keep us calm during this break and set in stone how much further he is taking this journey!

S.O.B.! Talk about a freaking winter-midseason-cliffhanger! January 12th can not get here too soon UGH! I will say this new style they have in this 16th season is very, very dark and their cursing language has took me by surprise compared to what was used in the original tv version! They most definitely couldn’t have shown this on normal primetime CBS stations. It’s a tad bit boring in some ways though, because there’s not as much action and too much researching/talking going on compared to the original version IMHO, but its a work in progress accepting the new era. I’m just glad they are back, wish Reid’s character had returned but it is what it is.

Good epi,no bells and whistles like the last few but informative if you pay attention, cant really tell what time frame we are in any more since Judith looks to be about 8 and the lil boy looks to be about 3, but I never read the books or comics, whatever they were, so I dont know if there is an exact time frame, it would just be nice if they could give us a clue sometimes like “2 yrs later” on the screen lol.
oh also I tried out the flix555.com link for the 1st time, no lagging, played smoothly, nice audio, not too loud or too quiet and words fit the mouth movements, its a nice site IMO

This type of abuse should have never happened to this or any child.The authorities totally failed in this situation. If you are easily sensitive to physical, verbal abuse situations this might not be for you to watch. Its a real crime documentary, with the real facts showing, and quite disturbing. #saveourkids

I totally agree smh :( I thought with ALL the great named actors in it that it would be a great watch, but in my boredom of waiting on that great watch my hair has grown a few inches longer and I’ve aged a few years waiting for something to happen lol! So far the dogs have been the most exciting thing happening other than the few lil fights lol. And yep there’s nothing else on so I’m a glutton for punishment I reckon lol, just 1 more epi so might as well finish it lol. The storyline is kinda weird too IMHO, I literally had to check IMDB to see who one of the characters is, and TADA its the younger version of Bridges old man character, evidently they’re doing flashback scenes without letting us know that’s what is going on, or I’m just dense and didn’t realize that lol.

I agree also, I watched my last episode last night. I liked the show until this season, but this season has made me totally sick. TV watching for me is entertainment normally, to get away from all the real life stuff I have to deal with during normal day to day, not a replay of the news, political crap, or turning everything into the “race” card. There is a time and place for certain things IMO. The writer/director of this show and Greys has turned both into a political race card, I’m done with both, if I wanted to relive the past year or 2 I’d keep watching the news. Not the 1st show I’ve deleted this year and probably won’t be the last.

Good soundtrack for sure, but the ending credits still being longer than the actual watching part is just weird! Let me put it to you this way…I love Yellowstone,it’s VERY different from The Son, but there are a lot of comparisons. If you like the one, you will like the other.
The Son is very intense, like Yellowstone, covers a lot of ground,I promise if you watch a few episodes, and you like Yellowstone,you will like The Son, you will not be able to help yourself!

You’ll deff like it, and it does cover a lot of ground you really have to pay attention or do alot of rewinding lol, but the 1st few epis were a lil slow for me also then I caught on. I binged the whole thing yesterday, because I like Chiklis, that being said…storyline is pretty decent; action is so-so in places, dull in others and wow in a few. Sadly it just kinda drags, very slow moving imho. It has heart, caring situations, definitely backstabbing moments and lots of betrayal. There was harsh realization in it for me as to how some people are forced to live their lives to survive but also how blood being thicker than water doesn’t always hold true…and greed is the root of all evil smh lol. I will continue to watch if it continues to play because of Chiklis, he’s a good actor and the other acting was pretty decent to me mainly because they seemed to use actors who fit the profile of the characters(ethnicity, language) that sells a show to me unlike Wild Mountain Thyme with their heinous accents ugh. And it seems the writers actually did the research on the lay of the land and how the storyline should be played out, meaning it didn’t seem unbelievable, kept me interested throughout, not on the edge of my seat mind you but I enjoyed it. Its not like a Lethal Weapon shoot’em up run’em down 24/7 show, but its not a Barney Miller speed either. As you can see I’m an all over the board kinda old gal with my viewing so take my 2cents worth as you will lol. Its at least a one time watch, and just get through epi #1 then #2 will be easier, not gonna lie #1 was hard to finish but it helps understanding the rest. Enjoy. I truly like this show and Justin Hartley from back when he played Adam Newman on Y&R, but as good as the writers try to make this somewhat believable they really should let Colter Shaw wear dirty-ish boots lol, he gets beat up on almost every episode and his truck tires are usually covered in mud from where he drives and camps but his boots are always spotless new looking lol, and maybe let his hair be a little messy or unkempt looking instead of always not a hair out of place lol. Eh, I have to agree with the majority of yall in that this was sooo cheesy it was stupid. I love JG and LOVE the original REAL “Roadhouse” with God rest his soul Patrick Swayze, but this isn’t even close to the same, other than the name of movie and the wannabe storyline smh. I ended up just listening to it like background noise part way through because it was so hard to stomach the craziness. JG looked good for the most part, other than looking like a steroid induced fighter that fights in chain-link fenced rings smh. The music wasn’t my taste and didn’t mesh with the vibe, the other actors were blah, the Connor dude was like a maniac no acting skills at all, he needs to go back to his cage fighting, the only other actor I actually recognized was Billy ?? who use to play Billy Abbott on Y&R lol and he was just as bad in this as he was on that lol, he played the rich boy with the big boat. If you’re thinking its gonna be a duplicate of the original don’t even watch because its not.

Definitely the most emotional epi I’ve watched of this series to date. I bawled like a baby almost from the first minutes in. Incredible acting from the Sean character throughout this epi, was nice to see HE could “feel” without realizing it for a change. We get it that he is on the spectrum 99% of the time, which can be hard to watch at times if you don’t live around that life 24/7/365, I enjoyed being able to see him as a regular feeling human being that could “feel” the things the rest of us do everyday, hated he had to go through it truly, but it was nice to see he could. Freddie Highmore does an amazing job portraying the Sean character no doubt. The rest of the cast also did an amazing job as always helping him through another situation of love and feelings. Thanks uploaders, without yall I’d be in the dark on everything good.

I love this show so very much, but they kill me because every time I love a character they die and most at a young age sadly, considering this is about true stories from the 30s-70s so far, I cant imagine how these poor people lived much longer than their 30s in the despicable inhumane horrid homes they were given to live in. Im glad I grew up in the USA when I did, it just wrong on so many counts what the women especially had to endure but families on a whole didnt have it much better. Thamks for the links uploaders!
I did watch the whole movie, I’m a mama and a grandma, that being said, it was mostly sad and heartbreaking to me because you see a preteen girl adjusting to adolescence under extraordinary circumstances, new home, no friends yet, family dynamics changing unwillingly and all the while trying to still be a good daughter/sister. It was hard to watch some of the actions she took but sadly its what the majority of girls her age and even boys that age go through every day. If you’re an adult now you’ve been through it too, it’s called HORMONES! But it’s also what they see every day, it’s on TV, music videos, video games, movies, celebrities, older siblings, parents, other family members, friends, at school, on the streets, in everyday life sadly and especially the MEDIA.
Was this childporn? Not in my opinion, was it too risque for the age of the actors, yes in my opinion. But unless you live in a dark colored bubble this type of thing happens all around us all day long sadly.
I drove a school bus for many years in a very rural, small town and the middle school kids were the worse kids to deal with, the things I would have to break up or write up or report about was ridiculous and why, because they are going through that horrible age when all they want to do is grow up fast, do what the adults are doing, explore all the new feelings and urges that are racing through their bodies as they adjust from being children to being teenagers etc (been there, done that).
If you read the info about the movie in depth as I did before watching it you’d see the author was speaking from what she went through and trying to bring awareness to
and for parents about what their kids are most likely experiencing so that maybe the parents will be more attentive to their kids, in this day and age of every one having access to the internet and having a TV or computer/video games babysit their kids, which is in almost 80% of the households nowadays.
Did it need “may contain adult material warning” probably not in my opinion because everything that was shown was what you see on most local broadcast tv channels. These girls are actors, the main character’s actor was 14 yrs old, the others were the same or younger, would I personally let my daughter at that age play that part, nope, but that’s how I was raised and how I raised my daughter, but their parents may have other ways of dealing with things, do I agree with their decision, nope, but wasn’t mine to make. Would I want to see my 2 granddaughters acting like these girls did, no way, but sadly just because you raise them a certain way doesn’t mean they will always act that way.
Pedophillia is a real thing sadly and I for one do not feel it is normal, no way, no shape or how, so the best we can do is teach our kids right from wrong and what to be aware of, keep a vigilant awareness of them and their surroundings, and hopefully your kids won’t ever feel the need to reach out to strangers for love, reassurance or feeling of self worth. If you’re an adult and you watched this movie and felt sexual stirrings of any kind, that’s not a good thing in my opinion. If you watched it and felt outrage and disgust, well that could mean different things too in my opinion. If you watched it and felt sadness and were heartbroken then you are the writers audience, because you will be the one to be more aware and try to make a difference for your kids growing up, again my opinion.
The dubbing was horrible truthfully, and I have to have subtitles since I don’t hear as well as I’d like so that made it even worse with the outdated terms and lingo they were using for the English language dubbing. The videography was normal looking to me but like it was done from the ‘90s. The culture differences were very apparent in their geography/language compared to what I’m use to in the USA, and yes somewhat shocking as to what the “Auntie” did with “Shaman” but it may be normal in their culture.
If you don’t watch it you shouldn’t comment on it. We ALL have different opinions on what we like or don’t like, that’s whats called being individuals. I don’t like horror, gore or scary movies yet I’m not trying to get them removed, I just don’t watch them, simple as that. I thank the uploaders for their work, otherwise we couldn’t watch all the stuff we watch. But a lot of people are jumping on a bandwagon they don’t or won’t try to understand the true meaning behind before deciding to destroy it, and that’s not right. If you think this film is bad you should watch the movie named KIDS from 1995, it’s on here look it up, its from USA, New York no less, and see how those kids act, it’s another semi-biography of the lives of more preteens at risk following them for like a few days. It will open your eyes to what’s out there and you will hopefully watch out for your kids better.
