Meh. It was an alright movie. Once you figure out whats going on, it’s kinda of like an “Oh…okay” feeling and not a, “WHATTT?!?!? NO WAY” feeling.

I am so glad I found this show! I finished season 1 in like 3 days and I love it so far. I got a little confused at the beginning, but as everything started to unfold piece by piece, I had a lot of AHA! moments.
Great so far. I do kind of wish they would release it all at once though
Not a movie for everyone. Very much a slow burn type of a movie (not over-dramatized, just a regular day no glitz no glam from the POV of the assistant), but with a strong message of work place dynamics, especially for a woman in a male dominated office/field. Also the “we know whats going on/we laugh about it/we stay quiet” mentality of a workplace, especially in the entertainment business
This was pretty good. I think had I watched it in 2014, I would appreciate it more, but this was an interesting watch all around
Really enjoyed this show all the way through. Definitely will get a season 2
Enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. Went in a direction I didn’t think it would, but I’m so glad it did!
This ending was inevitable. I predicted it from a few episodes back. I agree, I hate when things get predictable, but I do want to see where this show goes from here.
I liked the message, but that’s about all that made me keep watching. I guess this movie was successful in being cringeworthy, just like social media is, but the dialogue between characters in some scenes were just…bad, especially in the car. And some of the stuff that happened with the main character was just implausible and there’s still one lose end!!!! What about Uno?!!
I enjoyed this entire season and this entire series. Although I am sad to see it end, it was definitely a great way to “retire” the wonderfully dynamic and lucky (talk about NINE LIVES!) Ray Shoesmith and still keep it open for a movie down the road.
Wentworth has changed piece by piece over the years, but always has its redeeming qualities. I’m not sure how I feel about the current top dog, but what I have learned over the years is that Wentworth does not let you down. So excited to see where season 8 goes from here.
I had to read an explanation of this movie to fully understand it. There’s this article from one of the directors of this movie explaining the meaning of the movie and looking back I really say the message of trying to escape this monotony, trying to escape a mistake and survive. Despite that, I just thought this movie was okay, enough to keep me interested for the 90+ minutes and make an impression, but not great enough for me to recommend it to others.
Dangggg this season is going to good. Chicago PD never ceases to disappoint. Just hope it’s all 20 plus episodes and not short like most shows have been so far
I was thinking the exact same thing. This season is going to be sooo good.
I literally had the same thought. When I first started it, I was like…2 hours? for a horror? Anyways, I quickly forgot about how long the movie was and became very engrossed in the storyline. I thought this was a great THRILLER/MYSTERY (I was like, you thought one thing and they were just like NOPE!), but I am unsure of the horror aspect of this movie. Also could someone please explain the ending!?
Well, I hope David Fincher plays some role in the directing of the US remake. This was truly a masterpiece
I thought it was okay, if your a religious person this is gonna mean way more than what an agnostic would feel, this is all about being between a rock and a hard place and all the moral implications of that. I think this was a stretch for Rachel Mcadams, i’d like to read what others think about that.
I agree with you on the religious aspect. Someone who is religious and/or apart of a conservative community depicted in this movie will relate more, but the emotional aspect of not being who you truly are is something that can be felt by anyone. I think this movie was ok, although I find myself being more curious on the aftermath more than the events leading up to the end. I did not like Rachel McAdams in this role…something about her did not convince me of the character she was playing. Other than that, I really liked the Dovid character and especially his development toward the end. I really felt his pain.
Wow, what an emotional roller coaster. I thoroughly enjoyed every episode of this series. Do I want more? Of course - their story is not over in my head! But does there need to be more…? Not really.
Their story and evolution was told well and its hard to watch this series and not see bits of yourself in the characters or their situations.
Every character in this show is a scumbag. Even the ones you like. They cheat, they lie, they steal, they murder, the assault. They’re bad people with horrible morals.
Twisted and dark from the beginning. So many twists and turns. I really enjoyed this movie. It’s so much more than what it seems
Wow…the last 10 minutes. I remember looking down at the progress bar, thinking they were going to go in one direction and they went in a completely different direction and I loved it! I agree with BeautyStarz, such a great way to wrap up an AMAZING show. I will certainly miss it!
I like the idea/plot of this movie, but the execution was not all there with the actors and some of their dialogue seemed so inauthentic. If they were to make a movie with the same kind of plot, I’d suggest better trained actors (esp. for the CIA guy).
I agree with all the comments. This show is awesome from start to finish!
Are there any available links for this? Thank you
It will be available digitally on April 28th, so I imagine someone will put the links up sometime after that
What is up with this give us multiple episodes at once (which we all binge) and then wait weekly for one episode at a time. You cant have both AMAZON! :(
As ridiculous as this show was, I really enjoyed it and having the episodes this short really worked in their favor! Some really funny scenes.
After watching a few more episodes (and finishing the series), I do understand where you are coming from.
Although I think it’s an okay series overall, for it being based in London, there were way too many guns and the policing style was not representative of the UK police force. For a Sky TV series based in London, it was too American.
This show does not proclaim to be accurate. I think it’s also an okay series for what it is and I thoroughly enjoyed the humorous moments as well as the action packed moments. This show gives me “Bad Boys” vibes in terms of Pike and Bishops friendship and overall dynamic.
This was good…I tried to come in with a clear mind because I like other people don’t really care about Pete Davidson. With all that said, it was a good dramedy. Funny with sad moments and moments of growth.
I understand what you are saying.
I do have to say that I do not like what they have done in Series Two.
There are multiple sex scenes (which are not even relevant to the story) in the first episode (maybe first two?) and they got rid of Pike’s wife (new actress) and now suddenly Pike and his wife are doing it all the time.
Not saying this in an immature way, but why the drastic change?
Why the need for so many sex scenes all of a sudden?
Mate, the only reason why Pike had a new wife in series 2 was because the original actor couldn’t make her filming schedule work between this and her upcoming movies (Marvel & James Bond). If you ask me, I think she made the right move, stepping down from series 2, if she wants to elevate her career. Honestly, in series 1, Pike and his wife did have a sex scene, they would have those baths together. They did the same in series 2…and there were like 2-3 sex scenes and they were short. I think it was just to give a brief look into their world, although I agree we didn’t really need them. I think you’re focusing on something totally different from what I am, which is ok. I liked it for its buddy aspect between Pike and Bishop. I really think their friendship makes the show watchable.
eff 04/01 : Brand New WEB DL Versions.
Spoken Languages are: English | Italian | Polish; with HC (hard-coded) English Subtitles.
None of these links have subtitles as far as I’ve seen. Which version specifically has HC English subs?
No word yet. As this is a Netflix production, the prospect is somewhat cringe-worthy. Rest assured I will post updates on this program’s main page as soon as information is available.
So, keep your umbrella nearby until then.
What a way to end this. Truly another great British series - one with many outcomes. I hope there is a next season!
None of these links that are the full 30 minutes are working past like 19-20 minutes. Anyone else have the same problem?
I had been putting this off, but I really enjoyed the subtle love story I enjoyed seeing Issa in a non-comedic role and LaKeith is just a favorite of mine (he is so mesmerizing!!)
WOOOW! It was a little slow in the beginning, but stick in there! I’m right there with them…who is doing this?!
I enjoyed this! Definitely frustrating in terms of the dynamic between Freddy and Baba, but it goes to show how well they both acted given the background of those characters! I’m also a huge Eve Myles fan since Torchwood so I’m glad to see her in something awesome again. Hope they get a 2nd season!
Woooow!!! Does anyone know if this has already been renewed for a third season?
I am definitely guilty of typing up notes as I watched all 3 seasons, just to keep up with the family tree, different time periods and worlds. I enjoyed the challenge of watching and understanding this series. It really made me think and question what was going on in the show on a deeper level. Can’t think of a show like this.
This show is very well balanced, funny and heartwarming. Excited to see the growth of the team. Makes me want to meet a “Ted Lasso” type character in person
