Hooray for brass bikinis! đ
Symbols, even hated symbols have meaning. Surprising that this show managed to get away with the fascist salute in the one scene.

So how to handle Vandal as heâs immortal? Maroon him on the Moon?
Left unspoken is the aftermath of recovery, if any, from Joker gas. It dovetails with the mature themes underpinning the series.
Have to keep reminding myself this is a cartoon. Itâs aimed at juvenile audiences, despite the mature themes.
Being the last season the eps are concentrating on Batmanâs relationship with the Justice League. The origin is different, though. Batman recruits Superman, vs the reverse in the JLU from 2001.
Iâm glad physics and biology donât work like that. How he would metabolize his form would be an issue, all those outbursts of energy requires reenergizing in a Newtonian system.
Shades of the first EP of Justice League. Aliens masquerading as clones of people.
Unusual for Scarface to actually move without Weskerâs animus. But more to the point, although the producers are trying for a lighter tone (the change in theme song being a symptom) the psychology is actually quite dark.
Two tons of explosives would have a bigger bang.
I wonder whether Iâll ever be able to glance at the comments and not see something misogynistic. One can only hope âŠ
Sarcasm doesnât often translate well in text, which was my intent. The plot revolves around a woman who is not sure how romance with an AI would have the same spark as one with flesh/blood. From cold feet to warm a change occurred.
The context is that it is a female pov.
Are there any situations where they would attach another child?
A mechanical heart can do wonders. The medical science of the episode is sketchy, but itâs episodic tv. Real world, the team would have gamed out several outcomes and had contingencies for as many as they could. Reconnecting twins would be so far down the list.
Gotta suspend belief here. The series concept, while innovative is seriously flawed.
According to those who read the books, they say it was wonderfully done and was ended exactly how it was supposed to, but in my honest opinion, the end was stupid and anticlimactic.
I made similar comment under episode 7. The happy ending tied up the loose ends, sure; but after the setup in ep 6 the antagonists didnât get to showcase their talents much.
âDo no harmâ is not the Golden Rule. Doing unto others is. And that is the moral guidance our hero uses, along with minimizing harm.
Sustaining a focused point laser contact manually while flying and maintaining a conversation is not physically possible.
One of the smartest eps. Pity that Yin bowed out after S2. Her character added a whole heap of female smarts to the show.
It was anticlimactic. The end chapter was short, rude, and foreseeable. The battles dissatisfying for being short, ultimately pointless and no challenge. Diana Bishop conquered all without the aid of anyone despite bringing a posse to handle the innings.
The dĂ©nouement at the council presented Dianaâs speech, but there was no real debate over the evidence presented. Everyone seemed to accept the facts at face value and rushed to plebiscite. I hoped for more, but in the end have to settle for less.
A different type of clayface, including origin. This show is groundbreaking in several ways.
So what do demons do? Throughout the entire series so far itâs never depicted or described. This is a point of failure for the series.
Blink and youâll miss the flashback of Jokerâs accident.
This season almost feels like Twilight âlightâ. Very slow and the exposition endless and needless.
Not having read the books I donât have a foreknowledge of the de Claremont tale, but if blood rage is actively scourged and carriers are not wiped out then a means of atonement for the human deaths should be imposed.
As an action flic the camp and limited dialogue works to bring humour to the fore. Fortunately the chemistry (or lack) between Frank and Naomi doesnât distract from the action.
Being family morning cartoon friendly the plot has to be simple enough. But a billionaire who doesnât have enough staff to conduct research and assist in business doesnât remain a billionaire long.
This seems an almost accidental circumstance, Mrs Gale being a part of the scene before associating with Steed. Then Steed pushes her participation. The word âcoincidenceâ comes up and it might appear to be so.
The story is very organic, less about cops and robbers and more about backroom dealing.
I like it although it is the most un-Avengers type episode.
Now Anderson is a âgeneralâ. And Lucy is vastly different than she was on Supergirl.
The difference between TV and cinema is the pacing. This show is very quickly shot and the cuts are fast. No âfatâ. All to keep the attention span of the millenials.
Is she just stupid, or what? She doesnât trust the right people, and trusts the wrong people.
This is a tv show. But still, OSHA is a serious issue in mining industry. Hard hats, people!
I think this may have been a supporting pilot for a Green Lantern series that didnât take off.
Some forget Superman isnât just a force for good, he never gives up. That is a struggle many share.
It would make an interesting study to understand how Bizarro lives day to day, what he eats, etc.
Whether the producers decided to downrank the Lieutenant-general or not calling someone a lieutenant when theyâre wearing general stars is disingenuous and insulting to the audience. Furthermore, it is unlikely that a âlieutenantâ would be in charge of such a secret program unless theyâre an officer-equivalent agent. Even if they were disguising a lieutenant as a lieutenant-general, they still call him Lieutenant, which defeats the purpose.
Why is the hospital so empty? Because even though it is a show about a hospital filming in a time of COVID requires protocols limiting gathering, space allocation, etc.
The plot point around dopamine toxicity is sketchy.
3 stars because Lea saves the day, but Claire comes off as inordinately judgemental (i.e. uncharacteristic).
One of the best episodes of JLU. Bruce and Zatanna barter favours to save Diana, and Circe goes nightclubbing.
