Straight to cult classics list. So bad it’s hilariously bad.

This is an interesting development. One would think that Dick Wolf had pretty much saturated the market with procedurals in broadcast TV and that Netflix would stay out of this space? Who doesn’t already have access to the entire L&O universe?? Maybe there is an infinite demand out there.

Subtitles for the Chinse language parts would be nice. Or is this a new trend in movies today. Maybe the chinese think we should have subtitles for theEnglish parts.
The reason the subtitles aren’t automatically there is because on a service like Apple+ when you watch through your subscription the subs are added in by the service. Whether or not the file automatically has subs encoded depends on the type of file format is ripped. Some of the streams have hardcoded subs, just go down through them. I was able to watch the entire season with subs using VidSrc search engine.
I’m going to have to watch this at least 2 more times all the way through.
I LOVE Mike and Liv…season 2 they weren’t as funny, they’re HILARIOUS again : )
What? No, DDL did NOT look, or even closely resemble Lincoln. Lincoln was called “ugly” in many, many written accountings, and DDL did not appear ugly at all. However, DDL is an excellent actor (or was, as he is formally retired). Further, how do you know what his accent would have been? Accents in the US are quite diverse and regional, not generic at all. If you read historically accurate documents they all agree, he was a healthy middle-aged man with warts on his face, thin and ugly and a blueish colouring. Whatever that means, is subjective, therefore an adaptation is not based on anything that was recorded by video or voice, but by written OPINION only. Further, there is only “speculation” that he had a form of mercury poisoning (he took mercury tablets) which coloured his countenance, but did not make him frail or elderly (he was assassinated at 56, in good health).
…”There are 130 known photographs of Lincoln…”

Well, there isn’t any recording of Lincoln’s voice that I’m aware of, and I didn’t care for the person playing Lincoln’s. Kind of made him look and sound a bit simple minded. I know for realism, and to convey how slaves were talked to and treated was rather shocking to hear. I found myself gasping with disgust. Menzies is great in this series and a totally different character than the character he portrayed in Outlander. He seems to take on each character he has played with gusto. I must admit I’ve not read that much about the assassination of Lincoln and the days leading up to and the days after. I didn’t know he lingered on for hours after being shot. And of course there is the saying that I’ve heard for years but didn’t know why until about 30 years ago. “You’re name is mud” which refers to the Samuel Mudd, the doctor who set Booths broken leg, he was labeled as a traitor. So when someone calls you mud, it’s not a good thing. Roger Mudd (CBS reporter until his death in 2021 at the age of 93) was a collateral descendant of Samuel Mudd (meaning he descended from another branch within the same extensive family tree). I may continue on and give it a few more episodes.
Lincoln is almost always portrayed with a thin, reedy high pitched voice because there are written historical sources (books, newspapers, private letters) that describe it that way.
So true. He’s petty about it, too. Gets cross if a guest is more loudly cheered for a salient remark or joke than he himself is.
And yet, I watch him, because it’s still the only place anyone is getting people of different political and intellectual views together in the same hour interacting with each other on the same topics. I think going from 3 to 2 panel guests has made a difference. When there were 3 he wasn’t dominating the conversation, the guests were. I’m also noticing that the opening interviews are getting more fluffy. The percentage of interviewing celebs he admires rather than politicians and thinkers has gone way up.
I’m not able to tolerate Maher anymore, but I watched this episode for my man Max Brooks. He’s always a can’t-miss for me; so smart and funny. Nothing fazes him. That is so appealing.
He says he hasn’t changed. He’s changed. He’s nastier. I mean, he was always a jerk, but he was also at least hypothetically open minded. Now he’s got his pet issues and he’s about hammering on those with every set of guests.
He’s so far into Richard Burton that he is Richard Burton. 6/5 stars for this episode, so much good stuff going on.
Now that this is a Best Picture Academy Award Winner, it will cost three times as much to watch on this site as it did one week ago.
I’m excited every time someone discovers this show, it flew by completely under the radar.

I love this style of comedy. Such a Killer!
Way underrated imo, it got trashed by the critics and I thought it was hilarious.
Totally missed this when it came through, looks interesting. Good rating on IMDb, that’s wrong
The silliness of Master Chief tooling around invincible without armor…vs yum, Master Chief’s expressive face, without armor
Wondering how many “Constellation” watchers know about this? Was I the last to know?!
I may be alone in this, but my favorite silly show is getting too silly for me. Bird lady pfft.
It’s gonna be pretty hard to add tonight’s episode here given that the list stops last week….
Friday nights will not be the same…
“Despite the cast and producers agreeing to salary reductions to sustain the show, it appears the understanding was that Season 14 would mark the end of the series. While not officially confirmed by CBS or the cast, these financial constraints likely played a pivotal role in the conclusion of Blue Bloods.” February, 2024
Unfortunately, they’re all pretty expensive. NCIS has figured out the formula, keep working through and replacing ‘em with lesser known actors.
At this rate their will be a 100% chance of no season 2. The episodes are being made out of place. Story is confusing and no one knows what’s going on really. Its laughable. The potential in this show is very good but is currently being run by what it seems to be, 8 year old’s.
Given the way Apple+ has renewed Invasion 2 times, I wouldn’t count on it ;)
Wanted some espionage so I came back to binge this. Super classic no nonsense tight paced spy stuff.
We watched all the episodes. We fell in love with the first episode, and then it went to an incredibly predictable and almost star-fanning mode of centering on Natasha Lyonne in almost a jokey-hokey manner. Others have adored it, so this is just our opinion, not a criticism of anyone. (PS - LOVE Columbo, but I do not see the similarities at all.)
Hiroyuki Sanada is one of my top 10 favorite actors and he’s getting a lot of great roles, this one too
I did a little research on it was due to budget cuts since at the time of the show, BBC Three changed from a live broadcast channel to an online-only channel for a little while until eventually they changed back to a live broadcast channel.
The writer of the show started a gofundme last year to try and get a third season or a special episode released. I don’t have much hope for that, but worse shows have been revived.
@ThinMan there’s an excellent UK series along the same plot lines called In The Flesh, highly recommend. It’s a 5/5

Cool, I didn’t know that but he does have that biker look. Didn’t he ride one in TWD?
Every now and then I remember that Alan Tudyk is not an alien, he’s that good. This is the funniest episode since the first season!
Woohoo Season 4 is up : ) Love Wisting!
