A saw or fire can bring down a tree. But often termites get inside the tree & do it that way.

I don’t get it. She seeks revenge serving those that she hates? Can someone please explain?
I have stopped watching SNL for a long time now, but I came to watch the Trump Sneakers sketch for a second time. …and the end hugging scene just to watch Collin Gostes resentful face hidden in the corner of the stage.
One of the most interesting films I’ve seen in years. I heard alot of trash talk about the three films and my low expectations were pleasantly surprised. I’m not shure I totally agree with the philosophy of the auther but there is a large chunk of truth to it. I even found the different cast for each film refreshing. It is part of the message and integrity of the filmakers, I feel: It’s a bit anti-Hollywood…in that it allows the viewer to focus more on the story and less on film star power. I read complaints about the acting and It was probably because of the lack of this Hollywood “film star power”, otherwise the acting was just fine. I would urge everyone to ignore the imbesiles of this sort. For those that -like me - would not want to read the novel, the films though not masterpieces of cinema, will have to do.
This was so ….shallow. I had to do other things. The cockrouch eaters liked it atleast. Thats something.
You can tell the screen writer is a Jerk by small details. Like when he/she inserts insults (that don’t even make sense, like in this first episode) to independent citizen voices to propup officialdome that represents the “great protector”: THE STATE. It is small things like these that probably expose the whole purpose, proganda wise, of a show. The monsters are obviously a metaphor. For what exactly? Probably terror: whatever scares the public into submission. We resently experienced what was THAT about and involved allot of sensorship of independent citizen voices. The official narrative was too stupid to leave unprotected. With that in mind enjoy the show….If you can.
THE CIA is responsible for all the wars in the world since the 2nd ww…even all the terror attacks like all the people believe that a bunch of farmers blew the towers pentagon and 4 other targets …pmsl
Yes I know. And they fund propaganda films to control their image in support of their organisation, get recrutes etc…. so your point is?
Why did this suck so much? It had all the twists and salt and pepper a plot needs….but….still boring. At least it wasn’t one of those closet CIA recruting films. Some people might like it though…maybe I’m too picky. As a painter myself ….the art used, was really derivative as the film aknowledges. But that isn’t the issue: I didn’t watch this for the …”art”. Maybe the issue is that the character has a special skill more akin to a musician. SO from a writers point of view, I think there is a flaw there. Come to think of it: The plot was full of those. Bad writing. Too bad. I am a sad painter.
Decent watch. Funny seeing my old neighborhood in Thessaloniki. This and some other elements made the film a bit synchronic for me, in the Jungian sense. Ok enough about me. Fun general fact: If you ever see a film -I’m talking in general here - where a Greek politician is speaking in English to a Greek crowd in Greece, please know that this is super poetic licence or in other words artistic bullshit: Not in a good way though, but in a way that only reduces the general IQ of the film. So if this hypothetical film gives you a dumb-dumb vibe and you would’ve wondered why? Now you will know the reason.
This show never stops to amaze me …..the number letter rivalry was a deep philosophical revelation for me. Numbers are universal and timeless and letters are important convensions, time and hypostatically specific. They express the two aspects of the Holy Spirit: The former are Air and the Latter are Fire. And the evil aspect of Infinity ( = without boundries) was acurate aswell. Yes the story line was a bit sub par but the ecstasy of this revelation overshadowed everything, plus I found it’s preachy effort against the culture of imbisile-ability deeply endearing. The other thing that never stops to amaze me, is the number of mouth breathers commenting on this site.
Rude. Please go to sites that want this discourse. Bye now and best to you and yours.
Gee thanks a bunch! But you seem bothered by something. When I ticked the “contains spoilers” box I really meant it. I would never want to spoil it for immature audiences and “coach potatoes”. SO It seems you were warned. You know films are basically meanings in an experiential language, and grownups need to discuss how to back engineer them: this is the real function of this comment section. It brings some power back to the people. It’s a way to combat something called “manipulation”: A very very bad thing. And you know who don’t want us to discuss our feelings and thoughts watching a film? ….That’s right: The manipulators and their minions. But there are also some very lazy popcorn eaters and immature people that are just clueless. So if they don’t know any better to avoid watching films they can’t handle altogether the least they can do is avoid opening spoiler alerts and let the grownups sort it out.
The conspiacy theorists are foaming at the mouth about this one. Expect to see more of that when this movie comes out. https://www.primewire.tf/movie/1420606-civil-war
If you aren’t familiar with the term “predictive programming”, which has been used a couple of times in the comments here, it is a conspiracy theory claiming that the government, the illuminati, or the elites are using mass media as a method of mind control, sending out hidden messages to brainwash viewers and make us more accepting of planned events in the future. They also think that it is used to mislead the public in advance of “false flag events”.
In other news, there has been a sharp increase in the sale of aluminum foil.
I Googled and found the site you copy pasted the “predictive programming” definition from. You seem confident you learned something. How can you be so sure? Recent History does not allow for that level of trust in main stream media anymore.
Since you know so much about the markets, how are the sales on lazy coach potatoes and lollypops?
Anti-whitism?? Creative word play is always the sign of wanting to convince and persuade at any cost. This was a completely fictionalized movie, not a documentary. I hope you are aware, and if not I would like to politely inform you, there are sites completely devoted to these matters. However, this is strictly a movie/series site. It’s really unfortunate that you feel the need to interject that propaganda here. Please, go to the other sites. They will be so happy to have you join them. Those who are here to discuss films and shows, are not so happy. Thanks very much.
I have a different opinion on every single thing you said sir. But it seems for you to discus what really matters in a film: Its message, is not appropriate. And that is not the only absurd thing you write. SO good luck to you. It seems you will need it.
Okay. 😁 Have a glittery rainbow day! 🌈
Probably 🤣
To be clear, I already said I saw the film as globalist propaganda and a priming of the public for a false flag cyber attack that Swab has “predicted” (check it out). Probably before the coming elections in a desperate effort, because the controlled Uniparty is expected too lose. The film states that there is no evil cabal and without it the world is a “scarier place”…really?
But the films core message is that humanity is bad, nature is good (Why? Does the former deserve to be eliminated to save the latter? Not clear). But for the demoralization con to work, the good hustler knows how to make it less obvious to the mark. In other words: A spoon full of sugar makes the poison go down, In a less obnoxious way. That’s in my opinion what Obamas “optimism for the good in humanity” was about: You can’t convince someone to commit suicide if your efforts to guilt trip him, are too obvious.
So we have mixed messages: The family is saved by the invisible prepper but the visible prepper is a selfish prick, …not to mention a patriot (see flag), and a gun nut.
And I think there was some critical race theory sprinkled in like fairy dust: What was the deal with the fear of the Spanish speaking lady?
Not to mention the puritan sex shaming: As in the judgmental black daughter, self victimizing herself because she was attractive.
All the white people suffered from one or the other vice, with the exception of the white young daughter -if you forgive her escapism because she’s a child. (The viewers “escaped” with her to the After Life of the film, during the credits, listening to the Friends theme song = subliminal death wish)
But the black people were immaculate and the judgmental attitude of the black daughter justified. (= anti-whitism).
Barrack Obama was asked to consult, and he did, but the only advise he offered was to make the human race less likely to devolve into absolute anarchy and chaos when faced with an apocalyptic scenario such as this. He has more faith in us as a species and suggested we would, in fact, come together more than we would otherwise. I think that’s true, myself.
…. I wouldn’t object to that. But probably for the opposite reason you believe it.
Seems like predictive programming propaganda. That said, I enjoyed it very much. I read Obama gave some help to the screen writers, “to make it more realistic” …..right. Interesting. Also humanity’s friend Klaus Swab “predicted” two years ago that there will be cyber attacks, amongst other crisis. Obama and Klaus are on the same side of history. So take note of what this film is messaging us. It will be what they want us to think. Cheers!
The show is great and very inovative an stuff (though I think they impressed me more in the first seasons)….this episode is no exception…..but I think its’ central idea is unusually deep and philosophical this time…
If you enjoy the lore good for you, but the whole second episode’s story is talking about killing Cormac. Maybe I missed something?
The opening scene of the first episode, was the end part of a heist gone wrong + some murder dancing. Usually writers use the cold open like that, to inform the viewers what to expect. ..And sure enough: The second episode is an oceans 11 “impossible heist” type plot. Not too much murder dancing though, not of the level of the JW movies. I feel the JW movies created a false expectation for the series that left some people disappointed. It was inevetable I think: Each plot type can justify a certain amount of murder dancing and a heist plot has to spend time on things more cerebral, like planning. In this case we also have the opportunity to explore the JW universe as an extra bonus.
I agree. Past the first episode there’s too much dialogue and the story isn’t moving.
I don’t understand ….why is the story not moving? We’re learning more about the John Wick universe while an army is being assembled. The goal is clearly defined and there IS movement towards it. Please explain, I am very very interested why you feel that way.
I don’t think a series of one hour episodes could retain it’s dramatic interest if it was just filled with talented murder dancing. Talent and tension has many forms. I liked this episode just as much as the first one. It had a “calm before the storm” type of inner tension.
Thanks, no Im not Japanese but I am an artist and have a big admiration for all arts, mediums and the cultures theyre from. Also, I agree, not the side Id pick for putting in such an aesthetic. Though it does push me to read between the lines on all of it and look at what we consider the enemy, The Empire, a little differently. We always expect The Empire to lose, this tells me we might be in for a surprise. They took their time to put themselves back together. So, what else do they have up their sleeves?
True it could ….as a plot twist, right?…or a tragic ending….resolved in another series. BUT we may just be overthinking it. It probably is just a way for the writer to signify an old new army.
Plus the “cool” aesthetic will go into merch, figures etc …. AND intensionally or not, the NWO will have another opportunity to confuse the public subconscious….wispering “totalitarianism is cool, obey” hahaha
The wise compassion the protagonist actor has in his gaze makes him a very good casting choice. I would watch this, only for that.
There’s a difference between being a slow burner that keeps you gripped and something where 30%+ of an episode/series is just random unnecessary conversations and lengthy pauses before people respond so they can give that ‘smouldering inner turmoil’ stare at the camera or off in the distance.
Yep, I guess it IS unnecessarily saggy isn’t it…. It’s a directors issue then. Not an actor issue, nor a writer. On that front atleast.
Yeah, I was thinking that there must be a real scarcity of white touch-up paint in that galaxy too.
I was thinking that right now at least, from what we know so far, the Kintsugi aesthetic is a world building signifyer to separate this imperial army as post imperial ….they can sell new dolls with a Kintsugi aesthetic aswell. Clever on some levels but on a spiritual level it’s …I’ll say it: probably what some call “blasphemy”. I’m not angry ….I’m saying what I see as coldly and calculated as I can. I’m an artist and I know what I’m talking about.
Slow episode. I expected more.
Why did you expect more? This is the average pace of this series from the beggining. It’s layed back and slow. Slow pace storytelling has it’s advantages. But it asks more work from the viewer I think, and some people just don’t want or are not accustomed to it.
Interesting mod on the Stormtroopers in this epi, their armor is put back together like it was broken pottery and they used gold in the cracks just like Kintsugi. Which is based on the concept of embracing the flaws and imperfections creating a stronger bond. Also by accentuating the flaws it shows resilience.
Extreemly interesting. Thank you Real Mr Pink. Are you Japanese? This aesthetic though doesn’t go well with a totalitarian movement, since it signifies strength through weekness. It’s a good guys aesthetic. The writer is either confused or it somehow fits with the plot in a way we can’t see yet. I think it’s called a “world building” element in the art of writing. For now though, to me atleast, it seems like a flaw…. but I will reserve judgment untill we learn more about the political vision of movements leader.
I don’t get it: Why is this show demonizing borders, border security and the nation state according to globalist ideology and the Borg assimilation ideology at the same time? How can this so obvious cognitive dissonance escape them?
On purpose or not, it’s not for me to say. But the Orwellian double speak message is clear: “Global assimilation is not assimilation”. It’s similar to slavery is freedom etc…..
I am from a different culture but I found the music oddly, tasteful …. and appropriate in the context of a show that explores the fundamentals of our humanity, that transcends rationality and has a vital element of the manic, expressed through the higher math of song and dance. I must say: I am impressed and this episode has been duly noted.
Now I know why people hate to count The Bourne legacy in Bourne series ,cause till Bourne 3 or Bourne Ultimatum it was Matt Damon people loved it ,it was legendary ,but in Bourne 4 or Bourne legacy it was Jeremy Renner ,now it all makes sense ,what triggered/compelled people to dislike Bourne legacy n so on.
Matt? Is that you again? ….. You’re taking it too personal man … Jeremy just got lucky.
LOL ..It would be very funny if a “chewannon” existed beyond the deep states’ imagination ….BUT…there IS NO CHEWANNON, only Chew and Annons. ….Clowns being “funny”?
IS this anti- Putin deep state propaganda or a parody of anti- Putin deep state propaganda? I haven’t been to Russia but I’m pretty sure they don’t put hammer and sickles on their rockets anymore.
I don’t think this is a LOL type of comedy show….the producers I think want to reveal real stuff about our world using a light hearted comedic form …but this is just my impression from the first episode. I want to see more episodes but for me the show is more interesting than funny. And I am totally fine with that. Very promising.
I am very impressed by the fact, that somehow someway they managed to make the best sci-fi effects and scenes and acting and alien worlds ….so drearily boring and uninteresting to me. Probably its’ just me.
Spoiler Alert! (whispering: No it’s not) This is a masterpiece of international Cinema ! (whispering: No it’s not) …but a fun watch non the less.
WHAT A FIRST SEASON RIDE …..!!! The way they say the truth about our world is genious….. I am a conspiracy theorist and I approve this show.
This series is genious! BIG flat Earth Wedding? I see how they get the ideas….
That’s why we’re watching. This we want to know. Mostly because better dead than red ;)
I see now! ….I was blind and now I see. …..the blue boss has a mysterious agenda in every show the last couple of years and it is never revealed! I guess they haven’t figured it out yet! How many years is it? Ten years maybe since he first appeared?
