So much Lebron hate when the brother just trying to do good things. They hated the first one at first now its a classic. This one will be to in time. A kids movie for children not angry adults. 5 of 5 for me. CGI was great, Lebron’s acting was medicore but it was not really about him.

Epitaf 6 points 2 years ago.

I loved the first one, but Lebron most certainly isn’t just trying to do good things. You don’t seem to actually know much about him if you think that.

at the end of episode 3 is that what a server room looks like ?

Epitaf 1 points 3 years ago.

I haven’t watched the show since early 2020 so I don’t remember what it looks like in the show, but you can google pictures of server rooms if you’re interested. They’re just rows of big tall boxes full of computers. Not that I’ve ever worked around any of that. People that run servers are usually different from the game developers, although they work together like police and ambulance people do.

As someone who holds a degree in Video Game Design and Development, and who worked for EA Orlando in the early part of the 00’s, I have to say, this is great. It’s absolutely “dumbed down”, but it would NOT have any comedic value if they got into the overly-technical specifics of the industry and design companies/teams. Everything here is a jab at either Blizzard or EA (a corporate headquarters in Montreal? lmao). I played WoW for over a decade, before it got so ridiculous it ceased to be entertaining, and this hits a lot of the “why’s” RIGHT on the head. The “Sunny” team created something really good here. I’m excited to finish this out now, and will be binging it over the next two days or so.

I work in the video game development business as well, but on the freelance and indie side. I think you’re downplaying just how dumbed down it is, because it is extremely and absurdly dumbed down, like saying all cooking is like sticking something cold in a microwave to re-heat it.

Other than that you’re right, there wouldn’t be any room for the humor if it were anywhere near accurate. Thumbs up for realizing that.

I like what I have seen/heard so far about this upcoming series.
Unfortunately, it’s a made for SyFy Channel Production…and we all know what THAT means…it’s either going to be really BAD and we have been misled by the hype…or…it will actually be pretty good which will be it’s very own “Death Sentence” and will be canceled after the first season or two leaving us all annoyed, frustrated & pissed off that another good series has bit the dust. Which is typical of the SyFy Channel. It keeps the shitty shows going while canceling the ones that are worth caring about and watching

Epitaf 2 points 3 years ago.

Very true, they’ve had a history of doing this for years with shows like Stargate Universe(the only good SG series) and The Expanse. Meanwhile they keep low budget garbage shows running for many years. At least Amazon picked up Expanse though.

It’s like SyFy enjoys failing and being a second rate channel. I don’t understand it.

Another one hit the DUST…Bruce Willis just came out with a Flop am assuming because of the Covid-19 he made “Surviving the Night” Now here comes Mel doing the same thing for money… Anyone remember the day when actors will turn down a movie because they thing its crap? example, I watch documentary about Chris Tucker where he turn down so many movies because they sucks and even turn down some that when on to be a hit.
Thanks to online watching where we can fast forward movie. I watch the trailer and it look like crap so I have not watch it as yet. “MEL” is broke why he made this movie. He need money to maintain his young TUN TUN

They don’t have a choice, they’re blackballed in hollywood because of their political views.

Survive the Night (2020)
Liberace's Ghost 1 points 3 years ago.

Imo, this movie was terrible. Completely absurd plot points & situations. That being said, & as others have already stated, he’s had legal issues & likely motivated by greed. Also, a lot of the garbage straight to video movies he’s most likely made for easy money. For example, he had a demand of 1 million $ per day while Expendables 3 was filming. He was reportedly offered 3 million for 4 days work & demanded an extra million. He was subsequently written out of the script after his demands weren’t met. There’s many actors that don’t conform with as you mentioned are ‘corrupt political views of Hollywood’. And while you are entitled to your opinions & p.o.v. There’s no need to bring politics into this, it is a movie site. Not everything is tinted thru a political lens. But, you’re entitled to your opinion. Cheers

Epitaf 0 points 3 years ago.

I didn’t “bring politics into this”. It is simply what it is. Blackballing someone because they hold different political opinions than you is by definition a form of corruption. It’s not much different than refusing to hire someone because of their race.

It’s funny how you guys blame Bruce for that stuff without realizing that it isn’t his fault at all. In reality he doesn’t have the same corrupt political views that Hollywood does so he’s been blackballed for a while now.

I’d take the only tablescraps that were left if I were in his shoes, too.
