I love this show. If a season 4 hinges on people watching then I will go and watch it on Disney+. I have Hulu and Disney+, mainly because I want subtitles otherwise I’d be a dirty pirate.

This show is crazy lol with all the side stuff going on.

Not nearly as good as his other movies imo.

I can’t believe they honestly thought they could pull the whole thing out like that. And the dude only put a chain around a single log??!! I’m dumbfounded lmao

So this is just an episode of The Mandalorian.
Definitely some really interesting topics brought up.
Actually enjoyed the flashback for once, really incredible visuals, animations and in just one quick burst.
Its sad that I think this is the best episode in the series (as there were other episodes with great moments), but maybe that will change with the remaining episodes.

Harthal 1 points 2 years ago.

This was Mando S3E1 as far as I’m concerned!!

Did anyone notice that Bryce Dallas Howard directed this episode? Looks like she’s following in her daddy’s footsteps, (Ron Howard) and doing a bit of directing. Not sure if this is the only episode she’s directed though.

Harthal 1 points 2 years ago.

She also directed 2 Mando episodes. The one where all the other Mandos defend Din and the one with the frog lady. She’s on a roll

So Sean Bean is NOT in this even though it was posted as a Jar Full of Sean Beans Playlist…. Not complaining, just saying…

Dexter: New Blood (2021) S1 E10
Harthal 1 points 2 years ago.

so good and satisfying

Australian Survivor (2002)
Harthal 2 points 2 years ago.

I recommend other newcomers start on Season 4 and go from there. I was hesitant at first and didn’t know where to start after being a big fan of US Survivor. The differences between AU and US Survivor can take some getting used to.

AU Survivors play for 49 days and the episodes are 1 hour long. Because of that there can be a lot of filler and overproduction in the show. The bonus is that you see a lot more of camp life and see a lot more strategy & what they do for fun in the meantime. Don’t be afraid to skip ahead of parts you don’t care for, especially in the early eps. I think AU has more interesting challenges, although more physical & dangerous, and that the twists are better as well.

I had no idea AU Survivor was so good! Lots of great stories, personalities, and gameplay. The ozzies are alright. Finishing Season 6 now

Dexter: New Blood (2021)

Was a fan for the original series from day one. This one follows suit. My one and only complaint is with Harrison. I mean the kid’s a decent enough actor and all, but originally he was blonde… With attention to all other detail why over look something like that. It doesn’t matter or effect the story, it just annoys me. All they had to do is make this boy dye his hair before introducing his character. Now we’re juust supposed to just be dumb enough to either not notice or over look it. Other than that one silly little issue I have this show is great. So glad to have Dexter back on the air.

Harthal 4 points 2 years ago.

That’s completely normal for hair to get much darker around age 10.

Had no idea this was based on a true story, that’s crazy!

Dexter: New Blood (2021)
xenois 5 points 2 years ago.

Do I need to have seen the original series to understand this one?

Harthal 4 points 2 years ago.

Only if you don’t care about spoiling the original series. This one picks up 10 years after. You will know who lives/dies/etc in the original, but yes you could technically watch New Blood first and understand it fine BUT you should at least read a description of the original show and know who Dexter is.

I was bored so I checked out one of the links and I was pleasantly surprised. I like the simple animation style (it reminds me of Miyazaki with a little One Piece thrown in) and the story seems kind of interesting. Hope to see some more links.

I believe this is just a trailer, not a TV short.

The Curse of Oak Island (2014) S9 E3
Harthal 0 points 2 years ago.

“it almost seems like we cant miss” LOL

I knew when they said Mi’kmaq that it would be a huge deal. I think that maybe the restriction is just a temporary formality that they are hyping up for drama, but it does suck they are getting punished for finding stuff.

The Curse of Oak Island (2014) S9 E1
BUDDHA 3 points 2 years ago.

I’ve been wondering how much longer till the power that be stepped in. We all know if they were to find religious artifacts or major treasure that the government would step in.

Harthal 2 points 2 years ago.

Truee, I’m not surprised either. Canada has a history with their indigenous people that is just as bad as the US’s. This show has uncovered a lot of things that probably challenge Canada’s narrative of history. If they ever actually do find a huge treasure stash then they would probably have the same amount of money as they would legal paperwork to go through.

woww, great start to the season. I agree it looks to be very exciting, they have a lot more fancy gadget this time around too for faster testing of things. Cant wait for them to drop the big ass hole down this year.

There’s only gonna be a new season if they can find the show a new home.

Harthal 1 points 2 years ago.

You’re right that Hulu isn’t renewing it, but the show’s writers are still working on a Season 2.

weird episode to end the season with lmao

edit: ok cool, looks like there will be a season 2. Still a bad episode to end the season on, feels like there should be another episode.

DC's Stargirl (2020)

This show is like the darkest timeline of saved by the bell. And the body count between the two seasons is phenomenal lol. There won’t be anybody left in that small town if it keeps adding up lol

Harthal 3 points 2 years ago.

great analogy, lol

and yeah they do be straight killing a lot of people for a CW show, lol. Obviously some come back in comic-book fashion but most are dead-dead.

oh you liked that minor character? RIP

DC's Stargirl (2020)
Harthal 2 points 2 years ago*.

Just finished season 2. It was a lot darker and had a bigger scope than the first season. I enjoyed how it felt more grown-up and had characters confront their issues/flaws, along with the fallout from what happens in Season 1. That said, I much prefer the tone of the first season, which was more about being a teen Superhero dealing with High School with lots of DC nods and references. S1 plot focuses more on things that mainly affect the town. In Season 2, the stakes are much higher with a big bad evil moon-genie that schemes to destroy the world. I liked this 2nd season overall and think the show does a great job of exploring the characters, but got less of the things I personally enjoy the most from the show. I do LOVE this show, but no surprise because I’m a sucker for well-written family dramas with a cool twist/hook (that usually get cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons, lol)

The setup for season 3 leaves me excited for a return to that original tone I mentioned, but with the script being flipped for a lot of the characters who have each gone through their own growth arc. I think this is a good quality show that stays faithful to the material while also doing it’s own thing to stand out from other superhero shows. It reminds me a lot of the early seasons of The Flash (before that show went downhill, lol), so I hope this one can keep up the momentum and come back soon with Season 3.

Star Trek: Prodigy (2021) S1 E1
Harthal 5 points 2 years ago.

This seems to be the Star Trek version of ‘Clone Wars’, first episode was pretty good. I recognized Jason Mantzoukas’ voice so I got really excited, he is so funny. He’s playing a character here named… Jenkem?? LOL

Survivor (2000) S41 E6
crane 0 points 2 years ago.

Jeff said it was a two part episode, but there only seems to be one part?

Harthal 1 points 2 years ago*.

He was more referring to the fact that there is no tribal in this week’s episode. They used to do 2 hour episodes for the merge but they broke this one up for whatever reason.

Midnight Mass (2021)

The Barbarian and the Troll (2021)
Harthal 4 points 3 years ago.

This show has no right to be so funny

Snowpiercer (2020)
Harthal 2 points 3 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

One of the best shows on TV, imo! It says a lot about society and the world we live in today. The only living things left on Earth are all on one giant train. It’s a fragile ecosystem and you would think that after the world was basically destroyed that the survivors would have a little solidarity but NOPE! They go back to the familiar old ways of a class system where the rich live in luxury and the middle/lower classes are the ones that keep the train running. There are a lot of interesting character arcs and some powerful moments. Eventually things go off the rails!! (just a pun, not a spoiler :P)

I’ve read the other comments and just wanted to say to any new watchers that it is NOT a cop show. I thought the same thing, that it was just going to end up being some cop procedural where they solve different train crimes, but that’s not the case.

Also, this show cannot be compared to the movie. I haven’t read the book, but I am pretty sure it’s completely different. The setting, backstory, and some names are shared but other than that the show is it’s own thing. The THEME of class struggle is what they all really share.
