MINDHUNTER (2017)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

1 Episode in and I can truly say… this is amazing.
I thought it was gonna be totally not for me. Somehow I thought it would be like some mixture of true TV & fiction… which I guess it is…but its sooo much better than I anticipated. This is True Detective Season 2. The real season 2 I always wanted but never got.
10/10 stars for first episode; and anyone that knows Jenneh knows I dont give perfection lightly or …at all

The Old Guard (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 4 points 3 years ago.

Worth the watch.
If you are into Anime (or maybe even if you aren’t) and liked this premise: go watch Ajin, or at least youtube the scenes with Sato especially the hallway scene.
That anime makes what happens in this look like childs play.

Condor (2018) S1 E1
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Forgot all about this one with Brendan Fraisier. I think I watched the 1st episode on the premiere; loved it; and then forgot to watch anymore when it came out lol.
This is one of the main reasons why I love PW. Showing me all the things I’d of otherwise missed :)

Last Moment of Clarity (2020)

Anyone watched this yet? I love Samara weaving; but this one sounds pretty out there.

Becky (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 4 points 3 years ago.

Pretty damn good & a wild ride. Never saw this on the new releases or even when I search 2020 by just added. Only came across it cuz I saw it advertised at Red Box.
8/10.

Southern Survival (2020)
nowt 3 points 3 years ago.

If only they had. The Redcoats-by-twang cum Condeferates-by-whine cum MAGAcumdumpsters-by-cult, tho?

They make the South as hard to survive as any Hicksville sundown town.

JennyFromBlockD 4 points 3 years ago.

Nowt…that is spoken like a person who has either A) An American who has Never Been to the South ….or B) A person who has never been to America.

Your entire attitude & manner of speaking indicates an air of superiority, and your dismissive & downright hateful tone towards anyone with a different opinion than you is literally the exact definition of bigotry.

You need to check yourself; instead of judging people you know nothing about, and probably have never had the slightest bit of contact with.

To each their own; I lasted about 35 minutes and was just bored out of my mind.

tbh its all MSM at this point. From fox to cnn to abc to trumps o whatever the acronymn is they are all corrupt down to the core.
I’ve lost all faith in the media, as has a good 30-40% of America.
They are a joke pushing whatever is popular to blabber about. Every day its just the same story on the 24 hr news stations. News needs to be like a high school ran news station; new owners & new hosts every 4 years. or something.
Its become George Orwell’s 1984 out here.

The Ruins (2008)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 3 years ago.

Didnt care for this one at all. Annoying lead role. One location for 70% of the film. Boring all around.

Phone Booth (2003)
JennyFromBlockD 4 points 3 years ago.

I saw it when I was way younger; and either I was makin out n the theater or just not payin attention; cuz I didnt remember anything about it.
It ended up being excellent from start to finish. All actors played their roles to perfection; and was a nice throwback since you can’t find a phonebooth to save your life now a days.
8/10

Standoff (2016)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

This was pretty damn good.
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

The Kingdom (2007)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

My favorite of the middle east army/terrorist movies…by far.

The Mummy (1999)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

Great fantasy / light horror movie you can watch with the older (10+) kiddos & rewatch again all throughout the years. 10/10
Rachel Weisz is the best

Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008)

idc wat u say. This was amazing.
What should of been a joke of a movie is definitely in my top 10 rewatchables of all time.
Great all the way through

As Above, So Below (2014)

up to 4th time watching this. I’m feelin like its even better than I remenbered. This is the scarface of found footage.

As Above, So Below (2014)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

Personally, I thought this was amazing.
Ive watched it at least 3x.
Maybe its bc I grew up in a religious househould; but I found this subject matter & the execution of it to be at the highest tier.

8/10 stars minimum from me.

28 Weeks Later (2007)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Much more enjoyable on the 2nd view nearly 13 years later.
Went into it expecting a DIRECT sequel; instead o what I got: different chars situation during the same outbreak. And, while that may not be actually true; it explains everything immensely better vs thinking the dude is just a evil pos the entire time..
3/10 first watch vs 8/10 second watch

Waco (2018) S1 E1
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

Too serious for me to find any ‘enjoyment’
I remember this happening when I was younger.

Lone Survivor (2014)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

FYI to anyone watching today: Upstream link is the ONLY good one. The rest are corrupted, out of sync, or bad audio.

The Outpost (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

It was okay. Nothing spectacular but done fairly well.
Doesn’t hold a candle to the likes of Black Hawk Down / Lone Survivor / etc but was still a decent war flick.
7/10

The Devil's Tomb (2009)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

Underrated for what it is. I think its a solid 6 outta 10.

Backlight (2010)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

I liked this one. Was akin to the Reeker movies but a less horror and more sci/fi fantasy take.

The Ghostmaker (2012)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

“Inspired by true events’ Bahhahaha

Hunter Prey (2010)
BubbaPharm.com -1 points 5 years ago.

An homage to Star Trek “Arena” - very low budget, but also very enjoyable. Two “aliens” stuck on a planet, duking it out for their species. Highly recommended for a late night, old school sci fi night.

JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

sounds more like a homage to Enemy Mine :l=

Curfew (2019)
MonkyNutz 1 points 3 years ago.

So I just have to ask, how many episodes until Sean Bean dies? lol :)
sounds like it might be worth a watch based on others comments..

JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

lol whats really funny is some of hte links still have the audio from the british channel it played on and they are saying the same thing hahahah

Mosquito (1994)
WhatExp 1 points 4 years ago.

NGL this movie is really bad, but I saw this on TV like 20 years ago and it amused the shit out of me.

So bad, it’s good.

Probably.

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

exactly my experience.

Curfew (2019)
JennyFromBlockD 3 points 3 years ago.

Im 40 minutes into the 1st episode and I feel like Ive found another great one. Truly. I nearly gave up after 15 minutes cuz of some bad cgi & not interesitng plot then things TOTALLY switched gears.
Its some crazy mix of Hunger Games, Death Race, and Walking Dead; with SEAN BEAN! Its amazing. so far.

Curfew (2019) S1 E1
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

Wth? Howd I miss this. This sounds crazy and it has sean bean!?

Snowpiercer (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 5 points 3 years ago.

Ive been tryin to stick with it; but its just so bland :l
The movie was great. This is nothing like that.
More like an episode of law & order mixed with a soap opera mixed with the train from snowpiercer :l
I’ll stick thru to the end of the season (ep 7) but its really rather meh

Waco (2018)
etim 2 points 3 years ago.

Hahaha— the French media used to pronounce it Wacko too.

JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Perhaps :l however this person insinuated the watched it; and that it was about “trauma implementation” when in reality it appears they never even watched it & hadnt the foggiest idea what it was actually about :o

Artemis Fowl (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

better than the 3.8 would lead you to believe; but certainly pretty darn bad.
The story was just all over the place; constantly jumping and blatantly skipping over large sections. People meet & all of a sudden it skips scenes and they are the best of friends. A lot of makes little to no sense. all that being said; as the first movie released in what seems like ages; I still enjoyed watching it.
5/10

Doom Patrol (2019)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Dropped a few minutes into the 3rd episode of the 2nd season.
I absolutely loved the 1st season.
It was wacky, insightful, and downright bizarre.
However, this second season every episode thus far just brings me down. There are a couple of chuckles, but mostly dark humor, and I just feel depressed after every ep.
My own life is depressing enough; I dont need a TV show to further bring me down.

Doom Patrol (2019) S2 E2
JennyFromBlockD -3 points 3 years ago.

Its lost its charm for me.
I loved the first season. I mean LOVED it.
But2 episodes in and its all…just so serious.
Like I dont feel like I’m having fun anymore; it actually is depressing.

Waco (2018)

…um…what?
This is about Waco, Texas. Where the government stormed in after a 51 day siege in 1993 and killed 76 people.
Waco…like Way-Co
the word you are talking about is wacko…not waco…ya wacko

Dexter (2006) S2 E10

JennyFromBlockD 1 points 3 years ago.

wTf! thats SAM! From True Blood! I ever ever realised that. And I never thought i say him in anything before TB. He looks so young even tho it wasnt that long b4!

Dexter (2006) S1 E2
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Rewatching this for this 1st time since I watched it ages ago.
Still as great as I remember.
But can I say….how in the blue blazes is a pulled pork sandwich the “perfect driving food” Yes to a nana but pulled pork?! I can’t imagine a worse driving food…thats gotta even be worse than tacos

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels (2020)
JennyFromBlockD 8 points 3 years ago.

i’m on the 5th episode and I have no idea why I’m still watching it.
the writing is all over the place, almost all of the characters & storylines are utterly uninteresting. Everything has devolved into a who is sleeping with who soap opera sort of nonsense and i simply cant bring myself to care.
5 epsiodes in and nothing really ‘mythological’ like the original Penny, sans the two mexican whatever they ares, which again, are utterly idiotic & uninteresting.
Dropped. 0/10 stars

Nothing But Trouble (1991)
JennyFromBlockD 2 points 3 years ago.

Very confused by this receiving only a 5 on IMDB. I remember it being a hilarious classic with crazy fantasy / scifi / horror elements to it.

The Descent: Part 2 (2009)
Frac -2 points 4 years ago.

voted up👍

JennyFromBlockD -2 points 4 years ago.

ty and as well it should be :)

Nameless nonsensical nobodies seem to consistently vote descent up for god knows what reason. I dun get it & i dun need to :) If the masses are against you but the lone hero decides to say, “Hey now, I think she’s right” then you know you are doing Gods work :o

21 Bridges (2019)
JennyFromBlockD -4 points 4 years ago.

Couldn’t get into it. TBH not a fan of CB in the slightest; so that certainly didn’t help.

Masters of Horror (2005) S1 E8
JennyFromBlockD -1 points 4 years ago.

I dont remember any of the MoH episodes except this one.
Norman Reedus (Boondock Saints/Walkig Dead) in this twisted tale based on religious mythology is definitely a mind bender. Had airs of The Ninth Gate about it; at least to me.
Highly recommend episode; even if you aren’t into the series as a whole.

10/10

Doom Patrol (2019)
finigan1 4 points 5 years ago.

Most definitely more mature then any other super hero show, the nudity, swearing and violence is actually quite refreshing to me. Really liking it 3 episodes in.It doesn’t take things to serious and at the same time it doesn’t hold anything back.Under those circumstances I would be swearing constantly also, not that I don’t anyways. And a couple of bobs here and there has never hurt anyone. I was poked in the eye once, but I really didn’t mind. And violence is in everything, so there is that. Over all really enjoying it so far, looking forward to more.

JennyFromBlockD 2 points 4 years ago.

If you haven’t watched it you should definitely check out Titans
It takes place in the same universe, and even has a crossover episode.
Very much the same vibe.

Sacred Lies (2018) S1 E9
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

WOW holy crap. This is…just…amaing. Every episode just continues to get better, more proufound, more interesting, more…everything…and oh my gosh, that scene near the end…the song that was playing…it was the berserk griffith dream speech near the fountain…the feels

Sacred Lies (2018)
JennyFromBlockD 0 points 4 years ago.

This is AMAZING. I can’t believe I’d never heard of it. I just found it last night, and I’m now on episode 6. highly recommended!
