Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not.
Both are equally terrifying. - Arthur C. Clarke

i like this version of Schrodinger’s cat best

Madame Web (2024)
greyfur 2 points 2 months ago.

Would really suck if this actually sucked. That would mean the ‘critics’ were actually right for once. Would really hate that…

Savax 4 points 1 month ago.

The idea is not to rely on someone else’s judgment when you have your own active. use it and make your own mind instead of following some other’s preconceived notions

Yeah, that was no secret. He never hid that he used an author to work out his concepts. My brother had all that stuff, and we read all of it. Everything from Asimov to Adams, Conan to Elfstones, Jordan to Clarke, he had it. From great to so-so.

Savax 2 points 8 months ago.

As much as i would love dragon riders of Pern to have a cinematic / tv version the current hollyweird would butcher the source material so I’d rather keep it to my imagination than see that happen

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022) S2 E9
Savax 2 points 8 months ago.

I am generally not a fan of musicals, but i do understand some demographic like them, so i walked backwards into this episode but at least hey made a story about about it instead of simply being the star trek musical episode. So Kudos to the writers for making it fit & funny at the same time. By far not my favorite episode but not a bad one either. I am sure musical lovers will rate it higher but to each their tastes not everything has to be about mine

The Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan (2023)
Savax 2 points 8 months ago.

I loved it but word of warning for those who do not spek or understand french. the translation subtitles are kind of wonky and besides the track a few times. Aside from that one of the most on point cinematical interpretations of the source material

Great premise but does not deliver on what was sold

SAS: Rogue Heroes (2022)

Yo, Savax! Nice to see you, man. I’m not surprised D&D got a comment from you.

This one looks epic.

Savax 3 points 1 year ago*.

Not a fan of Led Zep used in a D&D setting but past that one caveat looks exactly like what I had hoped for decades, here is to hoping the end result delivers as well

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022)
Savax 6 points 1 year ago.

My biggest problem with this new Trek is that there is only 2 episodes out I just want to watch 200+ episodes of this, while not waiting 5-10 years for it …

Star Trek: Picard (2020) S2 E4
Savax 3 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Finally the one point that bugged me since 87 got explained, why pick an Englishmen to play a Frenchmen. Always loved Stewart’s performance as Picard but always was skeptical of the lack of french accent.

And Q equal to himself always loved to hate him

Halo (2022) S1 E1
Savax 7 points 2 years ago.

Off to a great start, let’s hope it keeps up as the episodes drop. I’m hooked

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S4 E13
Savax 3 points 2 years ago.

I say mission success, there is an old saying: talk of me in good terms or bad terms as long as you’re talking about me. Seeing as how people hate the show and keep watching it on a weekly basis and commenting about it, and that others thoroughly are enjoying the ride (myself included).
Is it the trek you watched as a kid, teen, young adult… of course it’s not nor is the world we live in. Trek has always been a looking glass into society’s problems through a sci-fi lense. In that respect it delivers exactly what the old shows used to offer but in today’s world not the 60’s or 80’s/90’s

Reacher (2022)

I hope we get a few more books (seasons) out of this. Way better than the movies

CSI: Immortality (2015)

This is not the finale , it’s a 22min special about the series

Savax 1 points 2 years ago.

they are under season 16 in the original CSI

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S4 E6
Crenshaw1 6 points 2 years ago.

I’ve enjoyed this series for the most part, but I will say it needs a Spock. Spock is the heart of Star Trek, just like Darth Vader is the heart of Star Wars.
My favorite Spock type character was Data. The Spock character shows the limitations of science and logic forcing the imagination to explore unknown. I believe this is what has made Star Trek great and something missing from Discovery.

Savax 1 points 2 years ago.

I’d debate that Zora would be that figure in this season, it’s just that she is in her infancy all things considered

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S4 E6
Savax 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ha finally we are getting the Zora we had seen back in the 2018 Short Trek Calypso.

Angels of Death (2021) S1 E10

After watching the entire season. This definitively captures the essence of most space marines novels that I read. Besides I always loved the Blood Angels as far as space marines chapters go.

Angels of Death (2021)

If you ever read some warhammer 40K and enjoyed it, chances are same will apply here, otherwise this may get weird fast without the big picture of the universe

Marvel's Hit-Monkey (2021)

From a minor Deadpool villain side character, to getting his own tv show - Marvel knows how to make the obscure characters work on screen.

idk, everyone is allowed to retire including Gibbs, + Harmon is over 70.

Hammer and Bolter (2021)

r u serious about talking the Laffssss????

If you look at the parent series in the NFL, the next season should be a different team… I found this an interesting recap of their season with an insider view and cherry on top you get to rewatch their first round exit
