I loved it. I think Gene Wilder would approve.
I teared up a couple times.
Not only is it a good origin story, it pays tribute to the tone of the original characters and and author.
I highly recommend.

As someone who thinks of themself, and have been described as, a broken soul (with a heart of gold) I love this so much. I highly recommend it
I’m going to rewatch Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel 1st. Viewing day planned.
Ridiculous, absurd, a clear nostalgia-fest for Millennials and Gen-Xr’s, totally unnecessary! No one asked for this!
I loved it. 9/10
Liking it so far, different tone to most westerns i’ve seen. One issue, at the risk of sounding like a legendary nerd, there’s no way a native would leave a team of horses strapped to a stage with a dead driver in the middle of nowhere, that’s just cruel.
I await your jibes and ridicule.
You don’t have to be familiar with LoL to enjoy this. It’s amazing. I generally stay away from things based on games, for obvious reasons, but this is fantastic. Great story, animation, soundtrack, cast, drama, everything.
I just finished it and want to start over.
This is honestly way better than I thought it would be. Not a huge John Cena fan but I think he’s found his place in the universe playing this character. I begrudgingly enjoy the soundtrack, too. About the same calibre as Harley Quinn, just live action.
This is almost exactly what I was about to say; I’m very pleasantly surprised. Actually looking forward to how the characters develop.
Ok, I just realized this exists, and to be honest I’m a little pissed off. Why had no one hyped this up more! Plus I’m a huge fan of Neil Gaiman (obviously)and Sandman, so this was a total nerdgasm. Loved it, way better than any live-action DC movie thats come out in the last decade.
holy crap! I watched this a hundred times when i was a kid and and no one has heard of it. I was starting to think i imagined it. Thanks uploader!
Going in I thought this would lean more towards comedy, like Enlisted, but it really is an interesting show. The banter is fun, but the stories are topical and intelligently portrayed. I’d recommend this to anyone.
Bravo! Beautiful, charming ending to a an intelligent, poignant, funny, crass, delightful show.
Great premise, great source material, great cast, great message, great CGI…
TERRIBLE MOVIE!!!
The directing and dialogue are shit. Nothing wrong with the story arc but the pacing is way off. Clearly meant for a younger audience but still disappointing.
P.S: Downey’s Welsh accent is perfect…like 8 percent of the time.
Oh my god! I was beginning to think I imagined this movie. A truly timeless gem for kids. Thank you uploader!
Magnificent! We’re off to an amazing start. I read these books repeatedly as a kid and I’ll be honest, I cried with happiness at least twice during this episode. Whether you’re familiar with the trilogy or not, this is definitely worth your time. It’s damn near perfect (WAY better than that stupid movie)
a) Because I felt like writing it.
b) It’s a perversion of Rorschach’s line which has nothing to do with race, but the corruption of power and politics. They just rewrote it to suit their narrative all the while completely ignoring the real story.
“All the whores and politicians will look up and shout Save Us! and I’ll look down and whisper No!” is the real line. Theirs is not a reference. It’s spitting in the face of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.
c) Better than you that’s for sure.
d) Oh no, the lines between hero and villain have been clearly drawn, and are entirely based upon skin color. Which is what most (sane) people would call racist although in clown world where you’re living it’s probably nothing worth mentioning.
Thank you for this. Self-owns give me faith in the future. Just keep being Mr. Better-Than-You-That’s-For-Sure.
Heroes:
“I’ve got a nose for white supremacists and that guy smells like bleach!”
+
Villains:
“The streets will flood with liberal tears and all of the whores, and race traitors would scream Save Us! and we will whisper No!”
A lobotomized gibbon pissing on battery acid could write better dialogue.
a) Why would pissing on battery acid affect anyone’s ability to write?
b) The villain part isn’t dialogue, it’s a verbal manifesto from a terrorist organization
c) You can’t write either, clearly
d) Clearly the lines between “hero” and “villain” are blurred in this story, like in real life. Therefore your immediate reaction tells us more about you than the show.
Take a breath before you post.
(fyi, the whole quote from the Cavalry is a reference to a Rorschach quote from the original story. So…)
We get it Magenta, you dislike black people. You don’t have to keep bringing it up.
This film is a masterpiece. Beautiful, poignant, intelligent and funny. I highly recommend it.
I miss Stylus. I wonder why they replaced him. He was good.
The actor got offers to appear on GoT and a few movies. Yeah, good for him, but the show just isn’t what it was
I agree with lionknight. This movie got a shit deal in reviews but it’s pretty awesome. I recommend this highly.
This…this…this is amazing! I spent the first episode with a wistful smile on my face. They really honored Henson’s original designs and story. My inner child is both ecstatic and really pissed at having been ignored for so long. It’s like mainlining childhood nostalgia.
This show is amazing. I was apprehensive when I saw the trailer, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started the show. Definitely binge-worthy
Sonofabitch! 2 minutes in and Cassidy steals one of my jokes! Now whenever I tell it some asshole is gonna say “oh yeah, you got that from Preacher, right?”
I hate it when this happens.
I thought this was related to The Golden Compass
It is. The Golden Compass was book one of a trilogy, His Dark Materials. The movie kind of flopped because the story is brilliant and touches on almost every aspect of life, love, war, religion and truth, and two hours just isn’t enough time to do it justice. I’m glad they’re making a series so they can tell the story right
Wow, I actually really liked this. It’s not for everyone but I think it should have gotten more attention than it did. I highly recommend this movie.
I usually try and stay away from shows based on movies (I’ve been burned before) but this show rocks. The extended story holds water and keeps you hooked, and the performances from the actors are phenomenal. I highly recommend this show. 8/10

Don’t know why this isn’t talked about more. It’s rare for a sequel to try and honor the original idea appropriately, and even more rare that this movie doesn’t try to “outshine” its predecessor. This film was great. No masterpiece, but definitely worth the watch. It’s more conceptual/philosophical than exciting so be prepared for a long ride. 8/10
yep…good cartoon thing. id didnt like however the alternate spidermans because they were like both interdimentional and different dimentional which was more of a joke that they tried to insert into the movie…like one of the spidermen was a cartoon pig.
Spider-Ham fist appeared in the 80’s. Yes it was a spoof of spider-man, but it was a real comic with multiple issues. Incidentally, all the other versions in the movie were created in the 2000s
Just finished the finale, and I stand by my first review. In short:
I. Love. This. Show!
I pray to all deities, above and below, for a second season!
