The evils of a white birch. 6/10

Great show, and the critics and viewers agree. Maybe just not here lol. Yes, it’s stupid, that’s the humor. You either get it or you don’t. Already dubbed the 2021 sitcom of the year. ‘Chad’ is actually a 39 year old woman named Nasim Pedrad. 8/10
Parts of this was filmed in and around my hometown. I went to watch about 10 seconds of it being filmed, it was just as boring as the movie. 2/10
Interesting documentary. Who knows if any of this stuff is real. I don’t see them having anything to gain by making it up, it’s not like they’ll make millions from this documentary. 6/10
This is like one of those movies kids make and post on YouTube. But those are better. This is absolute garbage. 0/10
I’m thinking the “great movie” comments are just sarcasm, this thing is pretty bad. 2/10
Straight to the collection, into mp3 and on my phone. lol
Good show, although Dave made a very elementary mistake and abandoned singing and started screaming instead. Still worth keeping. 8/10
It pains me to see what the Discovery Channel has become.
Discovery did not create what these people do. The south and other factors that i’ll get in trouble for mentioning did. I think it’s hilarious.
Added to ‘watch’ because of the positive comments. I loved Dice as a comedian but not so much as an actor so i had put this off. Will check it out :)
I remember seeing this as a kid at the drive-ins. Us kids were allowed to watch the first movie (that i don’t even remember), then told to go to sleep in the back of the Rambler station wagon, but i stayed awake and peeked lol. Imo movies were so much better back then. I prefer a stationary camera rather than today’s hand held ‘shaky camera’ nonsense. Also the sound is at one level, not going from low to blasting like today. Cinematography was better, no over-makeup, not drenched in light. Boy i miss those days. 9/10
Once again it’s about the addicts, and not the people who actually need those medicines. If addicts find a way to get high on toilet paper we are all screwed.
Also this has some slight truths, drug makers have introduced opiate pain medicines that don’t have addictive properties in the past. Those medicines were denied and quickly silenced every time. It’s even hard to find in a simple search, some digging is required.
I forgot Tonya Harding was in a movie. And i’m going right back to forgetting. 1/10
I liked everything about this, other than the fact that they could have done much more with it. This is something that could be a good series. 8/10
I no longer respond to people who attack posts. If that’s your thing you should go to Reddit
I thought the imdb rating of 5 was a little low. For me, this was an interesting movie about mental illness and being lost. Similar to the dual worlds of “Wander” or “Shutter Island”, with a focus on the down and out.
Despite the story’s merit, it suffers from imperfect execution. I thought the three acts or screenplay could have been in a different order. The scifi in act II pulls you out of the story a little, but it does have a point in the overall plot.
Also, the dialogue might have been more salient had it been spoken by different actors. I’ve liked Hayek and Wilson in other movies, but I thought both rolls would have been better served by seasoned dramatists. Just my slant. Many might find their portrayals gripping.
Overall, though, I did find some philosophical value in the story. It’s about a 3/5, somewhat engaging even with it’s flaws.
A lot of folks around here speak strict Mericun with ESL. There’s so much of it that sometimes I wish we had subtitles IRL.
Salma had like 4-5 lines that i played back a few times, and i still have no idea what she said. Some people like to blame that on an accent lol. The Bronx is an accent i can understand people there. It’s not accent, it is inability to properly speak a language. I certainly have no problem with people who struggle with a language, but when you have a story/ script written in a certain language…you need the ability to convey the story to the audience in the language that it was written. I wouldn’t ask anyone from the deep south of the US to speak English either.
Strange, but not too bad. Would have been better with a woman who speaks English. 7/10.
“You can act like a man! [slap] What’s the matter with you?”
~Don Corleone to Johnny Fontane
Pretty good, 8/10. I’m not sure how many people realize this is a real way of life for many people.
Wow this is bad. This might possibly be the worst film ever. 1/10
Hi..it is CALTRANS [california transit authority] operating the cameras that watch for jumpers..they call police to intercept them and the coast guard..if they jump…so..your idea on this movie is flawed..However-there are many documentaries that do wait to catch death scenes..and yes it is a heartless thing! :)
I didn’t have an ‘idea on this movie’. The use of the word “who” suggests a question. There’s ways to talk to people with being insulting. Merry Christmas.
Who keeps a camera pointed at a bridge waiting for people to jump? And zoom in on them as if they know who will jump. And what goes through the mind of someone filming… please jump so i can make a documentary … or i hope you don’t jump? This is like a twisted faces of death thing going on.
I did hospice care for about 8 years, and i’d say about 75% of the people i watched die called out to dead loved ones while they were near death. And many people who work in nursing homes and hospitals say the same thing. Some like to say it’s a hallucination from the morphine, but i ‘sampled’ my fair share of that morphine and i never saw a damn thing. And i doubt everyone would hallucinate the same things. So who knows what’s to come, but i know there is something freaky with death.
Not bad, some good acting. But it’s basically a 30 minute story drawn out over 2 hours. Very slow. 6/10
I thought they said all episodes are streaming on CBS All Access. Hence the name ‘All Access’ lol. I’m guessing those who post episodes don’t have CBS All Access? Confused am i.
Yes. Stephen King predicted this all back in 1978, when he wrote The Stand.
Good job, you cracked the case.
And again in 1994 with Molly Ringwald. It only made it to 2 episodes because the CIA stopped it. See Molly Ringwald anywhere? lmao
Worth a one time watch for sure, definitely sucks when it comes to sound quality!! Don’t think it’s the copy, just the movie itself. It’s super loud in the loud parts and super quite in the talking parts. It’s tolerable though. Thanks for the quick links.
That’s how they seem to make scary anymore, startle viewers with music and loud sounds.
I don’t care too much for Rashida Jones but i like Bill Murray. I also liked the idea of going back to stationary cameras as they did often in this film, I’m real tired of the shaky camera era. I didn’t like anything else, the story was horrible and slow and it was badly written…. seriously emphasized by the ending. 4/10
Oh Rudy you’ve been a bad boy. And you are one small bird of a very nasty flock.
Not as good as the first as always, but not horrible. 6/10.
Kinda creepy knowing she was 17 when this was made, but somehow i’m ok with it lol. She was amazingly beautiful. 7/10
Brainwashing for who?? The state? Government? that’s what most media is already though ? I wouldn’t knock it for the concept, but judge it for it’s execution. could be an opportunity to explore some interesting ideas, but I will admit my first reaction to seeing this title was a sucked in chin grimace tho
idk, I’ve never let any media tell me what to do or think for me. I don’t really get that concept. If i question something i look into it. Meh, we are all different.
Meh, has sort of a Lifetime vibe. 5/10. I’ve lived in New York City my whole life, and i used to get involved, as did most people….but with people killing each other over nothing, i mind my business now. I’ll help a stranger, i will not die for one.
This also puts me in awe of medical workers and COVID. I’m sorry, but i would quit. They are truly better people than me.
Time to disband the electoral college and bring back the five party ballot. Screw this having to declare when you register. Time to start paying the senate, the house of representative, state assemblies by the hour at minimum wage, take away their allowances, free rent, free cars (give ‘em bus passes) and healthcare…put a stop to those junkets and fact finding missions…install term limits for all elected officials, and equalize the terms for all the elective branches, you fillibuster or deadlock on a vote-you all get sequesterd together, in the assembly or senate floor…social security isn’t a cookie jar to be used for anything other than what is was intended for. Tax breaks for businesses that threaten to relocate ? screw that, revoke their US patents, formulary and proprietary rights, bounce them off the US stock markets and make them pay us back all those breaks they’ve been given, hold them accountable for any irreparable environmental damage…lock up those ceo’s and board members. Close the unfair tax loopholes, make lobbying (of any kind), illegal. These folks that we elect are supposed to represent “we the people”, not special interest groups. Capital Hill is nothing but a giant carpet that needs to be shaken out, hosed off and put out to dry. I’m not a socialist nor a communist, just a pissed off American…Stop the bullshit, level the playing field, and get your elected heads out of your collective asses dammit…
I agree for the simple fact that nobody can name one of their state’s electors. All we know is they are probably wealthy white males. If you don’t know who elects presidents in your country, why bother casting a ballot.
stay for end credits and i do recommend the theater but you do you sir
oh man they cut off the end credits. What did i miss? The old man looked familiar.
Good film btw, Jenna is stunning. The old folks were a bit disturbing though. lol
