The blatant, willful ignorance of the police and the rapist’s family is shocking. No one, no one, addresses the rape, or the probability that he used a technique so seemlessly to rape this woman it is self evident he had done this before, and would do it again.

It’s disgusting the way his family act so self righteous. There is no acknowledgement of the crime against her.

She was used by everyone. The police suck, they really do.

I know Ronin supported his sister, I had no doubts about that. He said it specifically in the last episode of Farrow/Allen. He also said that he never knew how Dylan had felt all this time because it was a huge topic that had destroyed his family over time and he wanted to tread lightly. My doubt was with Dylan herself. In that last episode where she is speaking as an adult..her eye contact, her mouth twitches, her careful wording..all seemed shady and scripted. I think she carries a lot of her mums pain and losses…she needs to chill out.

I understand.

M./Mme/Mlle, with candor, as a victim of sexual abuse myself, her escallating emotions /behaviours are in line with what is shown for an abused person.

It is screaming in the dark, with fingers pointing at the victim, forever. Never being heard fully does impact for a lifetime alone combined with the abuse, you never go back to the former you.

I feel that no one would dédaigeux unless they had no frame of personal experience (or even professional training).

I understand why you would rate things from a scale of normal.

It is most difficult. It is entirely tragic.

Ronan Farrow was obviously very vulnerable himself throughout this whole process, which is a testament to his commitment to the story. He and Rich McHugh certainly deserve the accolades they received. This is riveting stuff about power, ego, entitlement and venality.

M. Farrow is indeed quite deliberate in establishing his credibility by chosing this provable expose from his book made series before moving onto another (more personal) story of male sexual abuse of power contained in the same book. Smart work, Monsieur!

Although he is one of my fave movie makers and I consider him a genius..Woody is a a lot older than his female costars and he could have a thing for the youngsters, but Dylan was trained by Mummy Mia and she lost her way as she got older and silenced her lies. Now that Woody is older and “stained” she comes out to bite him again but brother Ronan still doesnt embrace her story enough to run with it himself. Its dodgy. As for Soon-Yi, shes a messed up case indeed and marriage of convenience. As for their children..are they his? Mia said he was sterile ~ smh ~ lol

Ronan Farrow has unequivocally supported Dylan and was quoted as refusing to work with the company that published the book this is based on after they annonounced plans to publish Woody Allen’s memoirs. Ronan is quoted as stating “As you and I worked on Catch Kill… a book in part about the damage Woody Allen did to my family… You were secretly planning to publish a book about the person who committed these acts of sexual abuse.. Obviously I can’t in good conscience work with you anymore…Imagine this were your sister.”

This series, and Ronan’s book which this series is based on, are [in part] about his belief and total support of Dylan.

I am guessing you feel otherwise, and wish no ill intent, only to present facts about the Ronan/Dylan/Woody words for your feelings of disbelief.

Essential if you really care who the woman was as a person, I don’t. My interest is strictly in the crime story.

OK. Fair enough.

It is a very interest true-crime history. Since none of the French speaking people were actually involved in the crime, I simply skipped forward past their parts. Doing that probably made the show more interesting as it stuck to the point and bypassed the meaningless opinions.

The French parts are essential, actually, but I understand your astute ability to discern what you feel is most vital. 🙂

Milking the franchise is what fans want, actually, and not in a negative connotation. If you watched this first episode, you would have all of your questions answered and you would have a (probable) positive insinuation behind your comment. It really is worth viewing. It has tremendous entertainment value, and believability… if you’re a Marvel fan/appreciator.
