I may be alone in this, but my favorite silly show is getting too silly for me. Bird lady pfft.
YELLOWbird's comments
I thought it was fun to see Edi Patterson AKA Judy Gemstone of The Righteous Gemstones. 😉
I don’t know wtf that was. Kate Winslet created a big mess for herself. She needs to go back and continue “Mare of Easttown.” The husband looks nothing like Hugh Grant. I think there was a last minute change. He wasn’t even included in the opening credits. Horrible show.
Hugh Grant isn’t the Husband he plays the former chancellor. Her husband is played by French actor/director Guillaume Gallienne. I just watched her in Mildred Pierce, amazing, heartbreaking performance.

Friday nights will not be the same…
“Despite the cast and producers agreeing to salary reductions to sustain the show, it appears the understanding was that Season 14 would mark the end of the series. While not officially confirmed by CBS or the cast, these financial constraints likely played a pivotal role in the conclusion of Blue Bloods.” February, 2024
This looks as if it might be interesting. All seven episodes dropped at once so that is a plus.

You have to prove your age. 😂
In case anyone is wondering it is subtitled (very clearly) and easy to read.
LOVE this show! Can’t find S01E06 anywhere- 💔 I checked torrent sites, servers, link hosters… Nothing! (ง◕⁔◕’”)‚
And yet if you go to the AMC site it shows it as being available there to subscribers! Sigh 😕
Filming for the second season began on February 5, 2024 in New York City, with additional filming in Thailand and Washington D.C.
Boy, that one ended with a big ol’ HUH?? didn’t it?
or WTF!! The indigenous people of Alaska and northern Canada have strong spirit beliefs. Cold and mysticism make for a strong brew.
This so well done, but it is so raw, it is just brutal to watch.
Not the only one , this is a great game show ..
I download a week at a time, look up the backgrounds of the players I am not familiar with and then watch. I have learned a lot about Brit entertainers/presenters and athletes. 😊 Richard Osman is a delight.
This just gets better and better. Classique, complex, a tribute to 50’s noir films and Hammett; translated into colour in the French countryside.
Is it just me, or is Bill getting a bit annoying? The discussion about cancelling the football game made me want to tell him to STFU. However, the Overtime show was great!
Can’t wait for this, I have loved Ian McShane for years. Still going strong at 81!
Calista Flockhart as Lee Radziwill in FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans. Looking forward to seeing her again after all these years. With Chloë Sevigny as C.Z. Guest, Diane Lane as Nancy “Slim” Keith, Molly Ringwald as Joanne Carson, Naomi Watts as Babe Paley and Demi Moore as Ann Woodward. Also actor Treat Williams’ final acting role before his death.

Any chance of getting something better than a “cam” version of this please?
I’ve been avoiding this because I’m a big fan of Dashiell Hammett, and I’m afraid I’ll be at best disappointed, at worst angry. Your review encourages me, though. Should I go in, you think?
Have a look at the trailers. The French scenery and the house he lives in are beautiful. The first episode in the last 7 minutes, sets up the case he will be following.
Off to a good start. Sam Spade in 1963 France.
Clive Owen is very, very good in this. It is in the same vein as the recent retelling of Perry Mason. Looking forward to the next episodes.
I saw Piglet’s original comment as well that said Lumley was in Ozark. That’s why I made my comment below in support of yours YELLOWbird. Piglet obviously edited her comment.
Ummm, I was responding to your comment which said “with Joanna Lumley (from Ozark)”. I knew she was never in Ozark.
Joanna Lumley, Ozark?? I watched every episode of that series and I think after seeing “AbFab” multiple times I would have found her rather out of her element in Ozark. 😂
dubbed? urg..
I would normally have the same reaction. I downloaded 2 files: the Mixdrop which is dubbed and a Voe file that was subbed. I ended up watching the dubbed file because the lag and quality of the subtitles was so bad. For following epis I think I will download my own subtitles.
I don’t think there is a better series in this genre available. Riveting plot and writing, every cast member at the top of their game; plus Graham Yost is a masterful showrunner. And…
they gave us a little holiday present by confirming season 4 is in the can.
This looks like it might be fun. (Subbed NOT dubbed) The cinematography is wonderful in the trailer.
This may not normally be a show I would watch, or quite comfortable with male sex scenes, but the story is well done. it is chilling in what gay humans went through during the witch hunts of the McCarthy Era. I can better empathize with my older gay friends, after watching this. Indeed a dark time. A show that prompts me to do web searches for more information always raises the bar for me. I learned more about Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Discovering the poetry of Langston Hughes, was the real treat. I spent half the night, after episode 2, reading his writings.
Nice set-up for Season four. The whole thing is silly, goofy, over the top fun, but very enjoyable.
Patricia Clarkson is such a wonderful actress supported by Rupert Everett, and Wendy Crewson; this has got to be good.
For anyone wondering this appears to be “dubbed” in English not subtitled. It looks like it will be quite interesting.
From Netflix: “In Dear Child, a 13-year-old missing persons case is reopened with stunning and dramatic turns. When an unknown woman is struck by a car in a German forest at night, doctors and nurses at the ER have plenty of questions. And then, once they start talking to the precocious and strange little girl who accompanies her in the ambulance, the mystery grows deeper — and more urgent.
Based on the international bestselling novel of the same title, Dear Child (original German title Liebes Kind) unspools its suspenseful story across six episodes. It’s as tense as Gone Girl, while the claustrophobic, dungeon-like scenario that the little girl (Naila Schuberth) describes back home recalls Room. In Dear Child, all the twisting roads and plots appear to point back to that dark forest — or do they?”
Hilarious Tasmanian “Keystone Cops” episode! Really enjoyed this series, Marta Dusseldorp doesn’t disappoint. Very pleased to see that Bay of Fires’s second season received funding from the Tasmanian Government before the first season aired.
Does that mean what I hope it means? :)
In June, Olyphant confirmed that he’d happily return for Justified: City Primeval Season 2 because, well, it’s fun. “I’d show up. I had a good time.” The showrunners and actors have stated; it is up to FX.
Well that just kind of left everything hanging out there! Nice to see Walton again though.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you lived it you’ll love it, if you’re too young to have; watch, learn, enjoy! 😊
At least Walton Goggins was a likeable bad guy, this one is just unremittingly evil.
Well, there is nothing more annoying than a woman who is ditzy! I hope this drama gets better and Stella isn’t going to be ditzy in every episode. I’ll watch the 3 that have been uploaded and then decide.
I am up to episode 5 and don’t find her ditzy but quite humorous. Interesting that she co-created the series and actually lives there. I have learned things I never knew about Tasmania, quite a wild and forbiddingly beautiful place.
If you have never watched this show, just watch this episode for the “spa treatment” it is about 1/2 the way through. 😱 😂
Christine Baranski as the mom! She does bitch so well! Only watched first episode, I will reserve rating.
I didn’t know there was going to be a 2nd season; looking forward to this. John C. Reilly was great in first season. Apparently this season takes place between 1980 and 1984. 👍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was extremely well done. Kudos to Idris both acting and executive producing. The whole cast was excellent and they kept up the tension right to the end.
strange but interesting story. So far, I don’t feel any empathy for any of these characters except for the husband. They are all unlikable, I love Dennis Quaid but he’s such a narcissist in this.
Not only that, but the accents are so heavy it makes it difficult to follow at times. The juxtaposition of Timothy Olyphant’s character in this and Justified: City Primeval is quite something.
Something interesting on this series– Elmore Leonard’s son, Peter Leonard, who is an author of crime novels was executive producer on five of the episodes. His father was credited as both a writer and executive producer on Justified until 2014 (although he died in August 2013).
According to Paul Cleave’s website [the author on whose book this is based] there are 6 episodes.
