I don’t usually go for this sort of film, but the fact it’s Sharlto Copely makes me want to see it. I’ll be back to give it stars once I’ve watched…

The Book of Boba Fett (2021) S1 E6
[removed by a moderator]
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That trope is straight out of “lone wolf and cub” and it made me laugh when it happened. This (and all star wars) has its roots in old Japanese samurai movies, but you rarely see it as butt naked as this.

I think that’s the first one there are 5 or 6 of them…

Catwoman: Hunted (2022)
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

That was not great to be honest, and I am a big fan of the animated superhero genre.

Resident Alien (2021) S2 E1
Yellowbeard 7 points 2 years ago.

Whoo hoo! I been waiting 10 months for this.

Star Trek: Prodigy (2021) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

I do get the feeling that Janeway is going to go full Will Riker on dem bad guys when she realises what they did, “We’re done running from these b@$tards” etc.

Blade Runner: Black Lotus (2021) S1 E10
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

It’s the Japanese audio version - there are subtitles available in another place, English version will be in a day or two if you can resist it that long…

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

I enjoyed that, it started slow and got schmaltzy at the end but it’s the best bit of ghostbusters for decades. One thing did trigger me, the dedication before the credits - if that doesn’t move you then you are cold fish. This is a sign of provenance. There are extra scenes mid and post credits - enjoy!

Royal Institution Christmas Lectures (1968) S2021 E3
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago.

Jonathan Van-Tam got a knighthood a couple of days ago, as did Chris Whitty. I don’t know if he is now Sir Professor Jonathan Van-Tam or Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam, but either way good for him!

Slugfest (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

The Russo brothers eh? 10 minute episodes? I’ll bite…

Hawkeye (2021) S1 E6
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago*.

Good finale, I enjoyed the plenty o action and I think 6 was the right amount of episodes. I will binge this again sometime next year, and there is a mid credit scene you might enjoy - or find disappointing…

The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Yellowbeard 12 points 2 years ago.

Woo hoo it’s a webrip! Unsquint you eyes Primewireans…

The Suicide Squad (2021)
Dread Pirate Robert 2 points 2 years ago.

I’ve never read any of these damn comic books but I know a good movie when I see it. Do you really expect anyone to believe you sat through a movie for over two hours that you thought was literally terrible? Either you quit or you are exaggerating.

Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

I have figured out what put me off in the 4 months since, John Cena is just too bad an actor and it kept pulling me out of the movie. I did read the books and I watch all the output, I couldn’t like this though.

Young Justice (2010) S4 E11
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

Somebody punch a bad guy in the head please! I am weary of all the soap opera and history lessons, angsty crap was always a part of these books but this is excessive.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
Yellowbeard 13 points 2 years ago.

Woo hoo! I don’t care about the quality, this guy always takes me back to being 7 or 8 years old. Gimme dat!

Fortress (2021)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

That was terrible, plot holes, illogical tactics, really bad acting, stupid childish fully grown adults, poor hand to hand, poor dialogue and not enough killings. Ifn they had tripled the body count I could have forgiven them. Bear witness to how few stars I give it, and I like a cheesy action movie.

Hawkeye (2021) S1 E4
sobitthen 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Wonder why he called her the ‘Black Widow Assassin’?
Wasn’t that her make-believe sister?
And she, BW, let herself fall to get the infinity stone, correct?…

Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

There was dozens of black widow assassins in the “red room” in the black widow movie (https://www.primewire.li/movie/1337820-watch-black-widow), which is set between Civil War and Infinity War - Natasha be dead in that universe alright.

Worzel Gummidge (2019)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

Great news everybody - Worzel and pals return for two episodes 28th & 29th of December. I do like the lovely, gentle nature of this show, McKenzie Crook can do no wrong.

Invasion (2021) S1 E9
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago*.

They are going to have to do the greatest season finale ever to get me back for more is all I am saying. They still can, they have one more go…

Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago.

I just binged all of this, in truth I feel a bit trippy but it was worth it. The animation is just stunning, on another level. It’s a good story set in an impressive world with big characters, I never played the game - it must be very good for someone to love it and take it and do this to it.

Star Trek: Discovery (2017) S4 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

It’s here! Michael Burnham in the middle seat eh?

The Flash (2014) S8 E1
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

Whoo hoo! Don’t look on the IMDB page for this episode, the cast list is spoiler central…

No Time to Die (2021)
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago*.

Woo-hoo the web-dl is here! I wasn’t expecting this for another 2 weeks or so, and I spoilered it for myself watching a nasty cam…

Invasion (2021) S1 E5
[deleted]
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

I’m guessing they look expensive, fly in expensive saucers and shoot expensive ray guns. Also they could be very bad - guys with a block of rubber stuck to their foreheads flying thru space on the end of a piece of fishing line, there is a reason they are not showing them…

NOVA (1974)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

Aww hell - 5 nova episodes landed together, I yam gonna be busy for a few hours…

Star Trek: Prodigy (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago*.

Not bad - I will watch the rest of this, just to spite Discovery and Picard, makin’ me wait when I was locked down and star trek-less. That was a double length episode BTW (Lost and found I and II), seems like the rest of these will run 22 minutes.

Invasion (2021)

Yellowbeard 10 points 2 years ago.

All y’all should watch “Childhood’s end” ifn you haven’t already - it’s not like war of the worlds at all…

Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler (2019)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

We are getting a 3rd season kids! They have to clear up the whole “It’s a girl” cliffhanger thing.

Titans (2018)
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago.

Great new nerds! Season 4 has been confirmed so don’t fret during Thursday’s season finale. The full story is on slashfilm ifn you don;t believe me…

See (2019) S2 E8
Yellowbeard 7 points 2 years ago.

That was class, absolutely top drawer.

Rick and Morty (2013) S5 Special
Yellowbeard 0 points 2 years ago.

Ooh ooh - a special! Being these guys I am calling it “The Rick and Morty Nobel prize special” - like scooby doo and halloween or peanuts and christmas.

The Equalizer (2021) S2 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

Yay season 2! Think I need to go back and watch the last episode of series 1 - I know there was a cliff-hanger…

Injustice (2021)
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

That was a good Saturday night cartoon, not recommended for kids because of the killings and gore, but I enjoyed it. Sure it wasn’t perfect, but if you’re a fan you are going to watch - I put money on it!

What If...? (2021) S1 E9
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago*.

That was cool - plenty o action. This series is probably our last bit of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, but they are not shy about using other voice talent (that ain’t Robert Downey Jr. - it’s the iron man from the avengers cartoon) - black panther may return…

Wheeler Dealers (2003) S17 E6
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

Porsche 997 with bore-score gets the full Elvis…

Foundation (2021)
Yellowbeard 5 points 2 years ago.

I will tell you this and say no more: Jared Harris is magnificent at his job. I barely remember the books, they were dense and complex and decades ago for me - but I like this science fiction show and I don’t care that they are not slavishly following Asimov’s words.

Star Wars: Visions (2021)
Yellowbeard 3 points 2 years ago.

I like - I just binged the first 6. It’s very anime with that Japanese sensibility - so not for everyone. It is served up in self contained individual bite size pieces, some of them I would have liked another taste of. I hope this was a kind of audition and some of these stories get ordered to a season. If you liked the other star wars cartoons, this will please you.

Doom Patrol (2019)
Yellowbeard 6 points 2 years ago.

Hoo-rah! Season 3 time!

DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016)
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

Season 7 starts October 13 - and that’s a Sunday, webrips will be available on Mondays.

Logan's Run (1976)
[User deleted] 3 points 2 years ago.

Wasn’t she in American Werewolf in London? Or was that someone else I’m thinking of?

Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

Yup she was nurse Alex - the one David was trying to put lil werewolf babies in…

DC's Stargirl (2020) S2 E6
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago.

That was alright, best episode this season - plenty o’ action.

See (2019) S2 E3

Everywhere else is saying this is the zombie episode… Edit: Yup zombies.

Rick and Morty (2013) S5 E10
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago.

That was the best episode yet. I had to check it was really 23 minutes, they packed a lot of stuff in there. The Avengers: Infinity war of Rick and Morty.

See (2019) S2 E2
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

I am enjoying this, there are some nice killings in it and Jason Momoa is really bringing it as action hero. Personally I think it’s a shame he didn’t make a few more Conan movies.

Lee Scratch Perry's Vision of Paradise (2015)
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago.

Scratch died at the weekend. Manys the spliff and boogies I have had to his music, Eastwood rides again and battle of Armagideon are the soundtrack of my youth. He lived to be 85 and left a magnificent legacy of sweet music for all the world, it’s not so sad when you see someone have a big life and live it well.

Wheeler Dealers (2003) S17 E1
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago*.

Spannering - yay! Elvis from “wheeler dealers dream cars” got the mechanics gig, I hope they let him run amok - he is seriously skilled.

The Protégé (2021)
Yellowbeard 1 points 2 years ago.

Woo hoo - decent quality is here! That’s my Friday night sorted…

Titans (2018) S3 E3
Yellowbeard 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That was cool, and unexpected. I hope all y’all have seen what the next episode is called… https://www.primewire.li/tv/303886/watch-titans-season-3-episode-4

What If...? (2021) S1 E1
Yellowbeard 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

That was very nice, Nazi’s getting bashed to a Benny Goodman soundtrack - who doesn’t like that?
