How I Became a Super Hero (2021)
bcreed08 3 points 2 years ago.

This would make a really good series with a similar premise.

The Holiday (2022)
bcreed08 0 points 2 years ago.

I had high hopes for this series but in the end it just feels like they were gaslighting you the whole time.

The Holiday (2022)
Mikeonalpha 1 points 2 years ago.

the flaw in this series, is why would a bunch of people who hate each other, actually go on holiday together

bcreed08 0 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

The women didn’t hate each other, they were friends. The real major flaw is why these two families would go on vacation when at least one parent from each thought their child was involved with a hit and run that sent somebody to the hospital in critical condition. You cancel your plans, you definitely don’t press on like nothing happened.

Also these parents are pretty terrible at watching their young children. Who just lets their children roam free when there are cliffs nearby that they can easily fall off and die?

Traces (2019) S2 E2
bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

What a crap verdict. He had nothing but a flippant response about the boots. No reasonable person could ignore the boots. They had his dna inside, were hidden at his worksite, had the victims blood on them, and left a print at the burial spot of the victim. If they had someone else’s dna in the boots they would have said that in court, they clearly didn’t. They presented no other possible explanation for the blood getting on the boots, nor why they were hidden his worksite. He also lied about his alibi, and never seemed to present a different one that could be corroborated. Its like having the defendant confess in court and then still ruling he’s not guilty, smh.

Case Sensitive (2011) S2 E2
BellaMia1 1 points 3 years ago.

Nope. Season 2 did not get better. Too many dramatic mood changes just for drama sake, which added nothing to the storyline. It didn’t feel natural, felt rather forced. Can’t say that this series was my cup of tea.

bcreed08 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Don’t forget the partners just ending up in bed together with no lead up at all. Fairly bad series that I won’t be adding to my favorites anytime soon.

Smother (2021)
Mikeonalpha 0 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

yes, now Finn knows the family secret - he will work with the women to make sure no one finds out - season 3 is filming now!

bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The Guards also now know the family secret because the sister, Grace, told her friend, Joe, the Guard. I understand her not wanting to keep a secret but by telling Joe she is also implicating herself in a criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice and would likely be an accomplice after the fact to murder. It was incredibly stupid to tell Joe. It will likely be the reason she can’t leave for London and will be in season 3. Its also a bit misguided because of what she knows of the killing it was done in self defense. What wasn’t done in self defense was Anna spiking Elaine’s drink and the resulting accident of that Joe had. I am surprised Grace didn’t spill her guts about that, which is arguably more pertinent to Joe.

Smother (2021)
Mikeonalpha 1 points 2 years ago.

what’s called a potboiler - utterly ridiculous, but cannot stop watching, can’t imagine how they can keep the story going for another season

bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

The final scene of season 2 does give some clues about the drama for the 3rd season.

Smother (2021)
bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago.

Well if you are looking for a murder mystery, family drama this one is decent. Season 2 just finished and filming for season 3 has already begun.

Promised Land (2022)
jaybird31523 3 points 2 years ago.

Got to admit I was skeptical, but it’s got my girl Christina Ochoa in it so I gave it a shot. Very good storyline and flashbacks to explain the current tensions in the family..I gave it 4 stars

bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago.

True, the flashbacks help a lot. Given what they show and what’s happening in the present its hard to know who to root for. A lot of the characters are grey, rather than black or white, in terms of their ethics.

Suspicion (2022) S1 E3
bcreed08 -1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

This woman is gonna be singing like a jay bird by the next episode. smh. Did this criminal gang recruit her from Walmart or something? She has all the resolve of a thumbtack. Her fiance should cut his losses and get out of there asap, she is not worth saving. She will only drag him down with her, just like she is doing with her sister.

Well that’s about as close as you can get to incest without it technically being incest. yuck! Family get togethers just got a bit more complicated.

All of Us Are Dead (2022)
Rotten -2 points 2 years ago.

Love a good zombie/apocalypse show. This isn’t. Couldn’t make it 10 minutes into episode 1 before shutting it off. Maybe I didn’t give it enough time, but what I saw was so awful I couldn’t imagine forcing myself to sit through more of the same.

bcreed08 6 points 2 years ago.

at least give it a full episode. smh

The Detail (2018)
bcreed08 0 points 2 years ago.

So this is a nearly identical remake of the show Scott & Bailey, but without the same level of talent. So don’t waste your time if you’ve seen that show already.

Counterpart (2017) S2 E10

What a great series. So unfortunate it couldn’t pick up an audience. Probably one of the best character studies of man and greatest espionage shows ever created.

The Americans is also a great espionage show.

The Cleaning Lady (2022)
Sal 1 points 2 years ago.

This show does not make much sense. The US has a severe shortage in medical employees, she could easily get a position anywhere despite being illegal.

bcreed08 4 points 2 years ago*.

There is a severe shortage in most low skill service jobs. It would be much easier for an undocumented immigrant to get a job in restaurant than a more regulated field like the medical industry.

The Bourne Supremacy (2004)

Get ready for season 2. There are some even bigger moments, especially the season finale, that will blow your mind.

The Witcher (2019) S2 E3
Daimyon 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Maybe someone can explain to me what “choice” Geralt made that caused the death of one of the Witchers? As far as I can tell, he was infected before Geralt even got there, he didn’t tell anyone, and when he changed, he tried to kill everyone. How, in any way, is that Geralt’s fault?

bcreed08 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Ya it seems like a stupid judgement to make. this is really just setting up something that happens later. But I won’t spoil that for ya. It does make more sense looking back.

The Witcher (2019) S2 E1

Awwwe, good show, with one of the stupidest premises i ever heard of. Thank you, you saved my life and for a grand reward, here you go, you get to take care of some brat for the rest of your life…. Enjoy your reward. lol, fuk that……

bcreed08 6 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

Kids grow up into adults, you don’t need to take care of them the rest of their lives. Witchers also can’t have biological children, so if he wanted his own family this was one of the few ways to get one.

Invasion (2021) S1 E10
THeRealMisterPink 5 points 2 years ago.

At first look of this show I was like, OK theyre trying something different with the whole alien invasion theme, committed to all 10 episodes. I take it from the last epi, this show is done. Right? I hope so because it was awful. Granted I enjoyed some of the cinematography but too often they push to these climactic events that were such a let down. They would give you this feeling with the music and cinematography that something big was about to happen and it was always, meh. Yup, I give this show a C-,probably even a D.

bcreed08 4 points 2 years ago.

Nope, it apparently got renewed. Its hard to believe but I guess Apple has to do something with that pile of cash they have.

Unforgiven (2009)

The Unforgivable Netflix movie is an American copy of this movie. I prefer this one.

The Unforgivable (2021)
[deleted]
bcreed08 2 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

What’s really sad is if she had just told the truth about what happened I don’t think anyone would have gone to prison or juveniles detention. The little sister was too young to face any charges and the older sister probably could have gotten off of any related charges with a decent lawyer. If she had just told her public defender the truth this probably could have been largely avoided, at the very least she would not have served two decades of prison time.

The Expanse (2015) S6 E1
Geogenesis 2 points 2 years ago*.

Wait, what? I thought this was only out tomorrow, Christmas came a day early it seems!!!

Interesting start. They allude to Alex’s disappearance; too bad that the actor who played him was a creep in real life and got fired for his sad behavior. Kind of a depressing tone but how can it not get better? I am not familiar with the books so all I can say I hope they resolve this story line with the Free Navy.

bcreed08 3 points 2 years ago.

Its too bad that he turned out to be a total creep. He deserved to be fired.

Annihilation (2018)
Crenshaw1 -2 points 2 years ago*.

It was a nice movie with an interesting storyline, but I didn’t really like it. When they make things too weird and don’t explain it or connect it with reality or with the movie’s reality it’s not really for me.

I thought they did explain it.

But the average temperature in space is below -200 degrees Celsius.

Even if we forget about oxygen, how does she survive that cold?

I hated that whole scene.

bcreed08 2 points 2 years ago.

Yes space is very cold but losing heat in a vacuum is actually quite difficult. You’re more likely to die due to the pressure differences of your body and the vacuum you now are exposed to. Here’s an article explaining it in more detail. https://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2012/08/how-would-you-die-in-outer-space.html

4400 (2021)
primewirereviewer3 -2 points 2 years ago.

its pretty much the manifest but on CW and with a wider cast and even that struggled to get to its 3rd season, the 4th and final one will be on netflix, this may make it to a second season, all depending on how much CW tries to push it.

bcreed08 6 points 2 years ago.

Bro this show is a reboot of the 4400, which ended 14 years ago. If any thing Manifest ripped off the original 4400, the reboot is NOT copying Manifest. It is however a total dumpster fire of a reboot.

4400 (2021)
bcreed08 5 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

When the reboot looks and feels like its the one that’s more than a decade old you really have a problem. Even though its the CW I still don’t see them keeping this dumpster fire on the network past one season. I wouldn’t even be surprised if they announced a cancellation after a few episodes.

How it ends? Really.. This doesn’t show or suggest how ANYTHING ends, Not even the movie itself. A totally pointless and waisted 113 minutes of my life. I like Forest Whitaker, but don’t know why he even wanted to be in this turkey

I was really looking forward to this and I’m sorry, but it was terrible. I saw it in the theatres because I really did want this to be good. But I couldn’t wait for it to be over. It was not even a one time watch. It is abysmal. Waste your time if you like, but it is not worth it. Absolutely horrible. Tell me I’m wrong.

bcreed08 2 points 2 years ago.

I walked out of the theater because it was so bad.

Continuum (2012) S1 E1
frauschnider 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

There are some serious problems; the plot is riddled with holes, the bad guys act outside of reason, and I can’t imagine censorship with bodycams and chips on each individual would not spot the pattern that lead to this conflict and even crazier, this time travel technology that they didn’t even know about. But on the other hand, the characters are intriguing, and in my mind that triumphs everything else.

bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

There aren’t actually many holes yet, you just haven’t seen enough of the show to understand how things develop and what is revealed in later episodes about the past. There are definitely holes in later seasons but not yet.

The Returned (2015) S1 E5
bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

They should retitle this episode “stupidity”. Terrible choices made by nearly all the characters, both the living and the returned. Probably the worst choice being the mother choosing to marry the cop that was secretly filming not only her bedroom but also the bedroom of her daughter. He’s definitely displayed enough sociopathic and abnormal tendencies to warrant a break up and possible restraining order. Definitely not saying she should stay with her “returned” fiance but staying with the psycho cop is not a good choice.

Lie With Me (2021)
bcreed08 1 points 2 years ago*. (Contains Spoilers)

From the very beginning the story seemed a bit convoluted. What woman would hire an attractive, young, and single nanny to live with their family when the couple was already having problems with suspicions of infidelity? That makes very little sense to begin with but they double down on the absurdity by having the nanny be the one the husband was having an affair with in the prior country and the husband setting up a home office, smh.

Then instead of just setting up nanny cams to be able to provide concrete evidence of infidelity and drug use by the husband to a court in the divorce or custody hearing the wife decides murdering the husband is the better option. Not only that but she could have also gone to a hospital with the bruises and claimed abuse. But ya lets just murder the bloke instead and assume there is absolutely no cc footage on any of the streets on the way to the beach house that could catch the wife. Also hope the cops won’t notice that the fingerprints of the nanny aren’t on the GHB bottle nor the pool furniture, but she clearly didn’t have gloves on. Oh and tell the nanny that you thought they would assume it was an accident but you had planted the nanny’s bracelet at the murder scene, smh. So many plotholes and conveniences .

Motherland: Fort Salem (2020)
savonius 2 points 2 years ago.

Did you know that over 2/3 of the U.S. military is under 30?
If the writers are true to form, they would indeed cast these characters as younger. You have to be between the ages of 18 and 26 to enter military service, so even if you went the full 20 years, you’d be no older than 46 at retirement, even if you came in at 26.

I don’t think they’re dissing the middle aged here, the military is a majority-young service, even if you’re a witch.

bcreed08 4 points 2 years ago. (Contains Spoilers)

You’re really critiquing the lack a realism in a show where all people identified as witches are drafted into a Witch Army. smh

The Tomorrow War (2021)
Laura-GCHQ 2 points 2 years ago*.

This is something that’s hard for me to do because when you use fiction to go outside the boundaries of what’s real and currently possible (such as time travel), then you enter into the realm of unprecedented options of endless possibilities, so you should atleast use those options wisely.
But you’re probably right. I’m thinking too much. I tend to do that alot LOL…

Oh Yvonny Yvonny Yvonny, only a few days ago i was hating your @ss for the atrocities you perpetrated in The Handmaid’s Tale but today I’m feeling bad you died a horrible death in this movie.

I’m a sucker for anything time travel. This movie was Entertaining and all but honestly they could have done better. So in the future they have the technology to create time travel but they couldn’t develop and manufacture better weapons to kill those aliens and the best they could do is still automatic assault riffles? Even in this day and age humanity still has better weapons how much more 28years in the future? Also you had the possibility to travel 30years into the past and the best plan they could come up with is to recruit those who were already dead in the future? Shouldn’t they have spent the 30years researching and developing better weapons?

bcreed08 2 points 2 years ago*.

This is the kind of movie if you think too hard it ruins the movie.
