Aleister Crowley looks good for a man who died in 1947, whilst this is set in the mid 60’s.

I was under the impression that this was an alternate history that’s a blend of the 40’s 50’s and 60’s? DC Comics is kinda known for blending eras and creating alternate histories.
I thought this was pretty good for a show made by a company like Tencent. The story wasn’t anything new but had a nice little twist at the “end.”
I put “end” in quotations because episode 11 and 12 seem completely disjointed and unnecessary. The main plot seems to end on episode 10.
With that said the animation is very cool and the kung Fu fights are pretty epic, incorporating some pretty dynamic “camera” operations that wouldn’t really be possible in a live action fight.
I also appreciated the pretty wide variety of Kung Fu styles featured. Don’t worry there’s plenty of Of Shaolin Wushu in the show to satisfy purist.
