Not much to do with the quest but for a filler episode it was ok. The “bug” is a stupid plot device on the same magical level as the “spore drive”. Lazy writing but executed well.

Well it took them 7 years to figure out how to get a season started. Finally a clear quest from the beginning.

McGregor was awful. Hopefully this is the last movie someone hires him for.

It got better with each episode. Unfortunately netflix pulled the plug mid-season on a cliffhanger. What a waste.

The first episode was good but it could do without the teacher/judge lady. Higher number of textures does not make better art.

I’ve watched this and the bricklayer and feel it is the better of the two. It was a good robbery flick where Bricklayer was an okay “super” retired spy movie. This was a good watch for me, it kept me entertained and I didn’t mind the bits were physics was ignored or stretched. It still rhymed with it takes a thief.

It’s a weird relationship drama. Don’t expect anything like the movie. I’ve watched 4 episodes trying to like it. 20 minutes in I got bored. There are so many things wrong and very few redeeming qualities. The characters are unlikable sociopaths that cannot make me care about their relationship. Maybe a 5/10.

I remember this series from the 80s and even though many of the topics were put to bed since it is still a great show to watch. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys modern history channel offerings.

Looks like a fun ride with some laughs. Kinda need some laughs about now. Probably better than the series of action flicks we have been seeing of late. I think they call them tradesmen action flics? It has a kind of It Takes a Thief vibe.

The artwork shown during the intro is a metaphor for the message of the show. At first glance beautiful, a closer examination reveals a darkness that makes one reevaluate the entire piece. Even the music used for the intro sounds lovely at first, but the strange warbling distracts and leaves an unsettling feeling.

Many excellent performances here, but Jennifer Coolidge and Simona Tabasco really stand out. Tabasco is every bit as hot as her name implies.

While it might not seem like a comedy to most, you can choose to laugh at the absurdity of life or drown in your own tears.

The writers won’t be getting feedback let alone pressure from here.

I say mission success, there is an old saying: talk of me in good terms or bad terms as long as you’re talking about me. Seeing as how people hate the show and keep watching it on a weekly basis and commenting about it, and that others thoroughly are enjoying the ride (myself included).
Is it the trek you watched as a kid, teen, young adult… of course it’s not nor is the world we live in. Trek has always been a looking glass into society’s problems through a sci-fi lense. In that respect it delivers exactly what the old shows used to offer but in today’s world not the 60’s or 80’s/90’s

Guessing this show is done for.

Hopefully Picard recruits the cast/crew and straightens them up a little.

That’s what’s been missing. Politicians running for office getting to be presidents of planets. Half the cast thinks whispering every line is acting. Maybe you can whisper your way to governor of GA.

Think Brexit… was it easy for the UK to leave the EU? Not at all. Now imagine if any country in the EU could leave on a whim without any repercussions. What if a new anti-EU, populist leader is elected and says “Hey, we’re out” — if it’s that easy, then anyone could go whenever for whatever reason. As stated in the show, if we did that then you get all the benefits of membership and all the responsibility is on us. This is the way coalitions work in the real world - the EU, NATO, UN, OPEC, etc. etc. etc. Exit clauses are never “you can leave whenever you want with no conditions” but rather “if you want to leave, there is a process for that (and it won’t be easy).

Oh, yeah. A whole planet wants to leave the federation and what’s gonna stop them is a clause in a treaty. How exactly is the federation going to stop them? The same way they stopped most of them leaving after the burn?

It pains me to see what the Discovery Channel has become.

So she wanted to join the royal family and be a princess but not adjust in anyway to what comes with it. Either act like a princess or get out. And stop crying about it. We peasants had enough of you.
