the 1st 3 eps had easter eggs galore. SWORD was assembled AFTER “the blip.” so for it to be around and running strong, it had to have years of training. given endgame was “tony stark’s snap”, but in the comics, it was the hulks snap that brought everyone back. so this is happening around a month after the final battle of Endgame. “Geraldine” was always Rambeaux. john woo as a character was in the comics of Shang-Zi, and a former SHIELD agent turned FBI after SHIELD fell (before agents of SHIELD existed). the planning, if you look back, was more epic than a feature film.

I just came to Marvel from DC after the disappointment that was Endgame in my opinion, to watch this “MARVELOUS” first 3 episodes and everyone is calling this trash because they want FIGHTING, Punches everywhere, action, action and action. the darkness in descent was true to what you’d go through deep into the earth with zero light without a helmet light or flashlight. it was a great movie endorsing a subterranean species of humans that stayed in the caves and evolved using echo location to hunt and move around in the pitch black of the earth never touched by sunlight. thank you for the honest feelings on the movies, and their differences. i will definitely be taking a watch at this movie thanks to your input into it.

universal soldier was about a soldier being brought from the dead. no “superpowers” as per se. was dead so couldn’t die again without extreme measures. he was dead a soldier brainwashed….hence not dead, but comatose whien brainwashed into being this person. he was person, but had no feelings or sense of pain due to the brainwashing. this becomes evident in US 2+ as the timeline goes on. jean claude remembers who he is, and becomes the soldier he used to be with the same morals and the family that has “buried” him yrs before.

the thing that hit me hardest after the first 2 or 3 episodes was the 2 weeks later murder that was the exact same fucking thing! not even 5yrs later!!! same neighborhood, same dynamics, same situation. like, really!? fuckers ain’t learned in 5yrs!?!?!?!?!? my wife is an abuse survivor. she barely made it through 2 episodes. spent 3 days after that in a state of anger/depression due to this documentary, because it brought out so much shit that she went through as a child. the pain lingers on for decades. those survivors don’t get better over night. they carry it into adulthood and beyond. fyi: i’m still in psychiatrist mode with my wife attempting to help her through the memories this series dragged to the front of her memory. it broke down a lot of walls. now she has to rely on me to be the anchor to hold her in place while she faces these memories head on. RIP Gabriel y Anthony! such sad stories.
P.S. We will get through this. #WeGotThis we always do. we make an awesome team keeping each other in grounded into the now, and accepting the past as our history. it’s what made us who we are.

i didn’t mind it at all. showed the ideals superman actually supports, just changed the “way of thinking” from a communist standpoint compared to a democratic standpoint as is his norm. his ideas about freedom, truth, and justice were the same, but his way going about was different. was weird to lex as a good guy, though. nice twist at the end as well. the politics used behind it are getting normal in shows made during this tumultuous time, with the whole turkey/syria/russia/US debacle going on today. was still a good movie that showed wonder woman as a true thinking amazon, the OG green lantern with his own lantern corps, lois lane still a reporter (though having THAT hyphenated name was strange), and braniac duping supes. all in all….4/5

watch the crisis on infinite earths crossover from cw’s dc universe. the titans are cameo’d in it along with multiple show hero’s. even includes a flashback to the 1990 flash movie and extends a black lightning episode into it as well. burt ward, kevin conroy, and characters from 6 total shows in the DCU. only 3 episodes for the beginning of the crossover with the last 2 coming january 14th. i know….i’m pissed about the gap too.

considering that the whole story is based on a comic, whereas modernized into the LGBTQ communities, i’m pretty sure watching a comic book based show is going to give you lectures and facts from actual comic books. FYI, batgirl, batman, and batman were DC comics. Green Lantern is Marvel. CW is full DC. you’ll never see a lantern on CW. might want to check Disney+ for that one. you know…since they own the Marvel rights since Stan Lee passed away..RIP Stan.
