While the acting was top notch all around The finale felt very anti-climactic. I feel like it was a huge waste of time. The 2 stars are strictly for the acting effort.

This was based on a true story. To blow it out of proportion the way t.v. shows or movies do, just to give an awe inspiring climax, would be completely unrealistic. I’m sure they consulted Steve Wilkins to be sure and keep it as true as possible.

Let’s not forget that the nickname “Golden State Killer” was not given until years later, sometime between 2011-13, by Michelle McNamara, after they found her suspicions to be true that EAR and ONS were one and the same. Joseph James DeAngelo was arrested April 2018 and plead guilty to being the Golden State Killer in June 2020 and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
