I think this was the best season yet! Juno Temple and John Hamm were stellar.

I HATED the end of this. The guy scams billions and gets zero jail time.
This was good but they left out the story about the member that was found drugged and naked walking through the desert.
it DOES NOT EXCUSE YOUR COMMENT
Did you even watch the documentary? They talk about it in the movie.
copy and pasting this quote doesn’t change what you said and really has nothing to do with it. You said something derogatory and your response is “Elon Musk is on the spectrum” like he quantifies something. When someone says something racist, replying with “but I have a Black friend” does not mean the original statement was not racist. Your original comment was out of pocket.
Yes it does. Watch the documentary. Two of the main speakers in the movie, Elon Musk and Nick Bostrom, have talked publicly about their autism.
Pretty sure it was the entire chosen tone & wording of the statement which is perceived to be ridicule of the academic scientific theory as well as derision of spectrum population, equating the two.
“A study published late last year in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders found that students with autism choose majors in science, technology, engineering and math at higher rates than students in the general population.”
Everyone in this doc is clearly on the spectrum. I’m not surprised that they think the world isn’t real.
But why, though? Why can they not co-exist and a person who likes one be allowed to in peace?
Because people were sick of the corporate crap the record companies and radio stations were trying to shove down their throats. They wanted loud screaming rock’n’roll guitar solos, not the Bee Gees singing in falsetto and wearing spandex.
Disco Demolition Night was an importand cultural event. Because of that night, the Who put out Long Live Rock, AC-DC put out Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution, Billy Joel put out It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me, and Joan Jett put out I Love Rock’n’Roll. Watch the video for Rock This Town by the Stray Cats. They have a girl beat up a guy dressed in disco clothes. LOL!
I remember Disco Demolition Night. It was great! Long live rock’n’roll! Death to Disco!
I hated this movie. She was a married woman who clearly lead the other guy on. And then at the end she cries on her husband’s shoulder like she’s the victim. What a bad moral to this story.
They did a decent job with staging the courtroom-only section of the great story of Capt. Queeg and his underlings. Everyone remembers the riveting Bogart performance, and here Kiefer Sutherland channels a good portion of that, balancing the levels of sympathy we feel for the character’s distress with unpleasant realizations of his evasiveness and willingness to lie to cover himself. You do feel for Queeg, and also for the lawyer who has to do his job in a way that disgusts him. The original story, set in WW2, has been updated to 2022 here, and there is some cast diversity that wasn’t there in the earlier film.
Overall, an entertaining watch, with the late great Lance Reddick commanding his scenes as always. So sad we’ve lost him.
I didn’t like how they “modernized” it by changing it from WWII to the present. It completely changes the ending where a drunken Greenwald, who’s jewish, feels guilty for taking down Queeg because old sailors like Queeg fought the nazis and saved his grandmother from the gas chambers.
The 1988 version with Jeff Daniels and Eric Bogosian was FAR better. Better acting and the meltdown was more dramatic. Do yourself a favor and watch that one instead: https://www.primewire.tf/movie/211219-the-caine-mutiny-court-martial
It’s okay, but too many chick characters. Kinda hard to relate to them because I’m a dude.
This is just a money-grab to bilk even more cash out of conspiracy theorists.
Had to turn this movie off after 5 minutes. First they have Chevalier get into a violin competition with Mozart (which never happened), and they have Chevalier play blues music (which wasn’t invented for another 125 years). It’s just too dumb to stomach.
A classic body style with better performance, braking and handling plus the bonus of polluting less. I don’t see the downside.
Season 9 (7 years) and they still haven’t found the treasure…
Now it’s the 2020s and we have to listen to “white” music to hear a live drummer.
Yes I saw the page, but the way they ended it was why I made the comment, typically in some form of documentary they say, next episode we discuss…
At the end, it says “Next Time: The American Nightmare” in big giant letters.
Lotta inaccuracies in this documentary. Zappa and the Mothers weren’t hippies. Their songs made fun of hippies.
Tami is a sociopath. She was going to have he husband assault David just because he disagreed with her? And she tries to drag his daughter into it? Then when David does the right thing and leaves, she asks everyone why they’re sad? She’s toxic. She’s literally started a fight with everyone in the house.
Tami literally has a beef with every single other person in the house. Then she sends her violent husband over to assault someone for the crime of disagreeing with her? Then she comes waltzing in the house singing a song and doing a happy dance like she just won the lottery? What a toxic psychopath.
Sooooooooo dang amazing! This new edit really rewrites history. The lads were not only brilliant creative musicians, but contrary to legend, they were also true friends who came alive when they made each other laugh. Thank you Mr. Jackson for this gift to every Beatles fan.
Five stars. Makes me want to go back and read all his books again.
5 Stars. Jennifer Hudson knocks it out of the park. And Marc Maron as Jerryy Wexler was classic. And I love how they showed a clip of Aretha in her later
yyears during the credits so everyone could see how her immense talent was still there right up until the end.
Asking Nikki Glaser if she’s afraid of being canceled is like asking an Eskimo if they’re afraid of sunburns.
Nobody they interview seems very credible. They all seem like liars. Even the cops.
They accused Becky of not listening but they wouldn’t listen to her.
I’ve seen enough sci-fi movies to know one thing… never trust a cyborg.
This was so well done! I’ve been recommending it to everyone.
